This review is long overdue - and now especially well-earned based on how well our system has held up and Johns incredible responsiveness when we had to relocate a portion of our system to accommodate some remodeling.John was referred to me in 2016 by a good friend in the real estate industry who hired John for several commercial projects as well as his own home. John had thoughtful (and very clear) recommendations for a six-camera home security system. We met with one other vendor and selected John based on his knowledge and his price (as well as my friends recommendation). His guys were neat and clean and efficient on the install and did a great job of hiding the cables. John was frequently on-site to oversee the work. John walked me through the setup on my laptop and phone and the system has been working for us ever since.Most impressively, any time I have called John since 2016 (including tonight!) with a minor question or the occasional troubleshooting issue (mostly due to a change of phone or computer on my end), he has been incredibly quick to respond and has never charged me another dime, including making a visit to my house to assist on one occasion. Really outstanding service from a very stand up guy.

I wish I could give Bamboo Comm. 5 stars because John is the most proactive and responsive business owner Ive experienced in a while. So I give him 5 stars but the product, DoorBird, is really subpar.As others have mentioned, it is really slow. The app interface is terrible and I dont trust I will catch every person who rings my door because the alerts are so quiet (even on the loudest setting) and the lag time between them calling and the app connecting is very slow.The telephone install guy said the speed we have would be more than enough to handle the video so it must be the software that is not working. Its just a bad product.Bottomline: Bamboo Communications (John) is great but buyer beware.

I love working with John and his team and am very happy with his service. John is super responsive, knowledgeable, honest, and efficient. I reached out to John on a Friday afternoon about installing video cameras. He got back to me immediately, and we scheduled his visit for the next day (Saturday). He gave me an estimate that very same day. I asked him several follow up questions over the weekend, and regardless of the time and day, he responded immediately.John was so responsive and knowledgeable that we didnt bother shopping around with other vendors. We signed up on a Monday, and two days later, John and his team were at the house installing the cameras. The team was very efficient and organized. The cameras wires were neatly placed, and the team cleaned up everything after they are done. John made sure everything works, including my garage doors were closed properly (totally outside the scope of his work), before he left. I would definitely recommend John and his team to everyone. I wish all vendors were like John -- responsive, efficient, and knowledgeable.

Very Professional!Gave John a call to install a security camera system and he was able to meet me two days later. He walked the entire multi-unit property with me and recommended the best spots to place the cameras. John took extra time to explain how the system would work and made sure all my concerns were met. Due to his reasonably priced proposal and responsiveness to my questions, I decided to go with Bamboo Communication. John and his crew (two other men) showed up a few days after I approved the proposal and WOW did I make the right decision! The installation only took a few hours and exceeded my expectations. He had to point out where some of the wires were because they blended so well with the wall! Afterward, he walked the entire job site with me and taught me how to operate the control station. I hired Bamboo Communication to install six security cameras inside my house back in Aug, 2015. John, the owner, is very knowledgeable in his trade. He listened and understood my requests and concerns. He and his team are highly skilled and did an awesome job from start to finish. They were extremely professional, and worked effectively and efficiently.The reason I am writing the review now is because I am so impressed by John’s technical support throughout the years. First of all, the cameras are solid and require no maintenance. But as I upgrade technology, the camera communications need to be tweaked. One time, I upgraded iOS in my cell phone and John walked me through downloading the updated version of SuperLive Plus to be in sync. Recently, I installed a new gateway modem. Normally, it’s an easy fix from John’s end to reconnect remotely. However, John has identified an Xfinity issue that won’t allow the connection. I spent hours with the Xfinity technicians with no avail. So John tried many different ways and figured out an alternate solution with our existing equipment to reconfigure the connectivity. The process took quite some time but John was patient and relentless in trying to figure out a solution. Over the years, John has always returned my calls promptly and made himself available. And my recent experience showed that he is also willing to go above and beyond to find workable solutions.

I chose Bamboo Communication to install a video security system for our home and I couldnt be happier with how it turned out. John and his team responded quickly to my request, performed a fee on-site consultation where the system was proposed, and managed a high-quality installation a few days later. The entire process was just over a week and we feel very safe with the quality and reliability of the system that we have.Keep in mind that Bamboo deals in high-quality systems and installation. Yes, you can get a cheaper system by doing it yourself with equipment at Costco. But we wanted high-quality cameras (4MP cameras for viewing license plates on the street, infrared at night) and reliable on-site storage (1 month of video playback). We contacted several providers of high-end equipment and found that Bamboo had the best prices for the quality we were looking for.Although you can compare prices of different providers, its difficult to gauge the quality of the installation beforehand. I was extremely impressed with the quality, care and speed with which the team performed the installation and setup. They went through great lengths to hide some of the wires for aesthetic purposes. Other people might have just had the wires exposed to save an hour of labor. Bamboo really went above and beyond my expectations and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great home surveillance system.

John had installed a comprehensive camera system at my residence a few years ago and has provided superb technical support and customer service any time a question has come up, even after business hours. Very responsive and great to work with. Most recently I had upgraded some network equipment and he was a huge help with integrating the camera system to the new components. Highly recommend him and his team without reservation.

Amazing customer service and follow up from the team. They came over to our place for a thorough inspection of our home and explained us in detail about the how the system actually works! Upon request they also gave us a few extra sensors for the our other windows !

We hired Bamboo Communication for a 30 camera security project for our condominium building in downtown SF and had a great experience from beginning to end. Based on recommendation from a neighbor, we hired John to install 4 cameras around our house back in April 2016. He and one other crew member were very professional, and cleaned up great after themselves. Because of an odd electrical issue in our old house that was mysteriously triggered by the camera installation, he came back twice that same weekend to try to help diagnose the cause and to run an extension cord to an alternative power outlet--all without charging us an additional penny. Last night, months after the installation, when one of the cameras was out, I emailed him. He promptly responded and helped to restart it remotely. Thats what I call GREAT customer service!2+ years after installation, needed his help to reestablish remote connection because of a modem change. John was as responsive, professional and patient as if this was a new job. If we could give more than 5 stars, hed deserve all of them!We highly recommend John if youre thinking about installing security cameras!

I have to say, I am more than impressed with Johns professional touch. I saw his web page and sent him an email. He responded very quickly. Set up a date, came out, and I explained to him what I needed. I wanted to be able to see my kids no matter where they were outside. In front of our home I needed to be able to see up and down the street to watch for my sons school bus. John not only set up the 8 cameras I needed but made it possible for me to view all cameras on the 55inch TV in my room. If I hear a noise outside at night I just flip on my TV and will instantly see around the entire house outside. If I’m watching TV I just flip to the surveillance channel and view all 8 cameras at once. I love the setup! To my surprise he completed this in one day.Once completed, I used my iPad to display the cameras and then walked the kids outside and showed them all of the cameras. They saw our images as we walked from the side of the house, to the backyard, to the other side of the house, up the steps and along the balcony. This made them feel safer because I could see them no matter where they were outside.What I expected and what I received were two different things. John hates seeing wires so there isnt a wire showing anywhere. Everything is vandal proof. The job looks as if it was done for an expensive office building. The camera setup will indeed raise the value of my home a bit as the entire perimeter of my home is viewable by the 8 cameras. We can now sit inside in the mornings as my son watches TV and I have my coffee and view the monitor and watch for the school bus. I can always see it coming up the street and by the time it gets to our home, we are at the door.He is not cheap and neither is his work, but it is worth every dime. I would recommend him to anyone without fear of them being disappointed. I am very pleased with his work and am very relieved that when we go away on vacation for 3 weeks, I can remotely monitor my home inside and out and around every corner, thanks to the fantastic job he did. Thank you, John. If I ever move, I know whom to contact for video surveillance. My kids are very happy to play outside in their backyard now. And, my home is now video monitored 24/7.

John is very good at what he does. He knows his stuff. He is very price competitive. He also has a very nice personality. You can talk to him!! He only uses and recommends top notch quality gear. He installed a 4 camera system and updated my WI-FI in the house. My WI-FI speed is now screaming in all rooms in a two story house. You know what the say, Happy Wife, Happy Life!As to the Camera System: I love being able to see my house online, no matter where I am. I recommend cameras for safety and security. John Jiang is one of the best service providers Ive known. If I could give him more stars I would. He agreed to come out and take a look at the entertainment system that had been installed in my house by several technicians who didnt know as much as they thought they did - and John figured it out, simplified it so even I can operate the system, and charged me a very fair price. I recommend him without hesitation and plan to ask him to come back and install exterior camera security. I wish we had more businessmen like John

Ive been a customer of Johns since December of 2016. And there is a reason I havent gone anywhere else. When looking for a high end security camera system I first looked both into purchasing and installing my own. We live in a 3 floor building so I decided to ditch the thought of DIY and started looking into companies. John with Bamboo Communications really did stand out from the rest on almost every level. The quality of cameras met my high standards, the price was very reasonable for the quality (others quoted far more for seemingly much less) and John himself was very professional and quick to communicate. Choosing him he really worked with us in providing the setup we were looking for and even was able to finish a 2 day job in just one day. One reason being that he was actually installing the cameras with his team rather then just sending his team out alone to do the work. Since getting the cameras they really have given us peace of mind and allowed us to check the house whenever we hear something odd or are out of town. About a year later one of the cameras ended up dying on us. We contacted John and within a few days he came and replaced the camera without any charge. Again we were extremely grateful. And now in 2019 we had to replace our Netgear router with an xfinity one which completely changed our IP address configuration. For the most part the cameras changed over automatically but there were a few that had been manually addressed and needed configuration. I emailed John and within the day he had returned my message. He was able to remote access my PC and reconfigure the cameras thus fixing them. We are very thankful and I cant recommend him enough. The Lord really blessed us and we couldnt be happier.

Wow! If you need to install a security camera system or Bluetooth sound system in your home, look no further. John at Bamboo Communications is incredible. He installed 7 high def cameras around my home and the install was perfect. No wires showing and the system works seamlessly. His work was so good that when I was having an addition to my home, I called him back to install Bluetooth speakers in two rooms. Again, impeccable work. John is very professional and takes a great deal of pride in his installation. The speakers were amazing and he made sure that the speaker placement was symmetrical and complementary to the lighting and other features already installed. John stands by his work and has a very interesting sense of humor. Loved his work and he is a pleasure to work with.

John and his crew delivered on what they promised. They were one of the few companies that actually came out to the site to do an estimate instead of using google maps. Imagine that. The products they use are not your off the shelf Costco or Best Buy stuff. This is commercial grade equipment designed to perform. This stuff was not cheap, but the quality that you get from them is outstanding. The picture is clear and there is no lag or picture freezing. I can access my cameras from my PC or remotely on my phone without any issues. I am very happy with the quality of the picture and the coverage of my home.I can stop right there and it would be an average review, but what makes this a 5 star is that John and his team arrived exactly as promised and conducted an installation that was clean and efficient. They completed the installation in record time. That is not to say that it was an easy job. What they had are very competent workers that knew exactly what needed to be done. They did not just drill holes randomly and hope that they find a stud. These guys knew what they were doing and made minimal holes and took great care to not cause unnecessary damage to my home. Thats a huge relief for me.The personal support I received from John after the installation is beyond my expectations and quite the bonus. I get all my questions answered from John directly and he has been pretty quick with the response and solution. I did not feel intimidated by this sophisticated surveillance system because John is right there to talk me through any problems. I am very happy with the service and the quality of their work. John is great - knowledgeable, fast and responsive!John and his team installed 6 HD cameras for my home - 3 in the front, 1 in the backyard, and 2 in the back alley. He walked me through what I needed to ensure I had adequate coverage and didnt try up-selling me on unnecessary equipment. After installation, John was able to troubleshoot some technical issues remotely.Fast forward a year later, there was a recent incident that happened across the street. The police asked to download the footage and John was quick to show up & assist with that process!If youre looking for great HD cameras, amazing tech support & exceptional customer service, then you need to contact John at Bamboo Communication!

Working with John was fantastic! He came out to my house, provided an estimate for 6 security cams and was able to complete the job all within the same week. He walked through the online set up and application on my phone. Every once in awhile I will text him to ask him questions and he is always very responsive. Excellent camera set installed by John and his crew. I contacted him in the morning and we did a job walk in the afternoon after my work hours, so he did really proactively provided an excellent customer service. Furthermore, I had to work on M-F, so he offered to installed the cameras on weekend. I had john installed 4 cameras around my house, 2 cameras at garage front, 1 camera at entry door and 1 camera at rear yard, so I had enough coverage around my house. ( I may add 2-3 extra cameras next year for more coverage).The cameras he provided were not the one you could purchase from Costco, Bestbuy or Frys because he only provided commercial grade cameras with 1 years labor and 3-years hardware warranty, so I believed he had confidence on the products he provided. In addition, the installation service was also professional, so you wouldnt worry about hanging cables because they were all installed with clips.I had john installed 3k cameras around my house which I had no issue to identify the license plate numbers during the day time, and the night vision was also great to identify objects.If you really want to have good quality surveillance cameras to guard your property, John would be the point of contact and I believe his price is fair with the quality service, and you should not compare his service with the service you can find form Craigslist because they are different.
