Great ceramics !Customer service was friendly and helpful.I always read reviews before shopping to specific store but even though some reviews were negative, I had a pleasant experience.I can imagine how difficult it is to work retail at the Ferry building where thousand of people pass by every day ignoring your friendly welcome.Good job girls πŸ‘

I was really excited to visit Heath Ceramics this week. I heard great things about their products and wanted to purchase some new dinnerware. My negative rating is for the customer service we received. We weren’t greeted and all the employees were on their phone. After a few minutes we said hello, and they looked up quickly to say hello back then looked back down. We spent a good amount of time there and was not offered any help or guidance on the items. I plan to avoid this location and will look online or another location.

Great selection of pottery and a very busy marketplace setting. The shop is compact and organized with high-end ceramics that are locally made. The quality and craftsmanship are second to none. The vase I bought was efficiently wrapped in old fashioned news paper! Cool store.

I own both the Coupe and Plaza styles of their earthenware. They are not only classic and timeless, but can be microwaves and dishwashered, and stand up to the test of time beautifully. If youre serious about shopping, youll want to go to the Sausalito factory, but this Ferry Building outpost is great for current replacement pieces and gifts.

Heath Ceramics makes phenomenal products that are high quality and durable, as well as artistically distinct. I own a number of their vases, as well as tumblers and cups. My negative rating is for the customer service at their Ferry Building location and not their products. I’ve visited this location many times in San Francisco and have made (or tried to make) multiple purchases (unless I leave in disgust because of the sub-standard customer service at this location). Sadly, on many visits, I’ve encountered abysmal customer service. I’ve had employees turn their back on me when I ask a question about a particular product; refuse to look and see if an unavailable color was available elsewhere; or, my favorite on my last visit, take and finish a personal call on her cell phone while I waited to make a purchase. Avoid this location and go to their show rooms.

In regards to the store on Mariposa in the Mission S.F. Went there with high hopes as the store is blocks from our house and looks amazing lots of wonderful colors to choose from, we were looking for complete dinner sets but the coffee mugs were way too small and with handles only big for very small people or woman only, Im not a big guy but could not get my fingers through the mugs handles, when I mentioned this to the salesperson she gave me a miserable smirk and no explanation. We wont be going there again.

I am a huge fan of heath--as are my parents who started collecting it in the early 1950s as wedding presents. same designs still in production. very expensive, but well worth it--buy a few pieces at a time as you can afford it, and build your collection over time.

I have been going to the outlet for 40 years. even the seconds are expensive - but if you like nice things, give it a go.

The store is small, but it has everything. Even if you go to the Sausalito factory, there are only a few more B-class discount products. If you want to see all the products, you can go to the Mission side store. Thats the main store.
