My favorite herbal library. Full of scents and oils, soaps and concoctions. Offers a plethora of classes and their staff is more knowledgeable than the books that have been written on the subject. Every trip to this unassuming gem is an adventure in itself and while the prices are high, the quality consistently matches and often surpasses it, leaving me hardly able to wait until i get home to unearth or concoct this stores magic.

Wonderful store along Valencia, all natural things such as crystals, candles,incenses, lotions n such, sometimes they’ll have special special intimate events which are cool! Workers are hella nice and helpful, they have small-batch local items and a few refrigerated things such as bee pollen n collagen water.. definitely worth checking out!

Extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff. The roomie and I were on the hunt for a good saging kit to sage the house, of course. In the end, wound up going through every single crystal in the rack, and came out with a few. The rose quartz was speaking to me, so I had to get it! Haha

I have honestly given this place more chances than I should have.My first experience here was disappointing, as the person helping me get bulk herbs, wasn’t able to answer any questions about them.My next experience here, I made it in the door, and was browsing around for a solid five minutes. It wasn’t until I was walking up to the counter to get some bulk herbs, that I was asked to leave because she just realized they’re over the covid occupancy limit.I gave them yet another chance after this. I went in, wrote a very specific list of herbs, and left for a moment. I came back, paid for my herbs and left. It wasn’t until the next day at home that I realized I was given more than double the Gotu Kola I wanted, and no Gingko whatsoever. I don’t often have time to drive into the city, so doing so to return without the herb I wanted most that day is very upsetting. At this point, I do not plan to give Scarlet Sage any more of my business.

This store is my local go-to for all things woo. They have a great selection of dried herbs, books, crystals, candles and other witch-y self-care tools. Currently limiting entry to 6 people at a time because of COVID but worth the wait.

My favorite shop in San Francisco. Their staff is extremely knowledgeable and they are able to navigate through your needs very quickly. I got some herbs, some tinctures and some books from there. Super happy with all of them. I’ll be back when I’m in SFO.

I loved coming into this shop! The moment I stepped inside I was overwhelmed with the wonderful scents and the calm atmosphere. The selection of cards and books was fantastic - witty and clever things alongside inspirational and uplifting. Crystals were displayed beautifully on the back tables, alongside herbal remedies and essential oils. The staff was very helpful when I asked for help finding a rather specific item (which they didnt have in stock - bummer!)

I wanted to look for jewelry on your website along with everything else you have at the store, but you do not have everything you have at the store for sell on your online shopping! One of my customers from work had a beautiful delicate evil eye necklace and said she got it from you and I looked at the website but you have nothing. You should have everything you have in your store available for purchase online too! Especially now with Covid! Very disappointed 😔

This is my go-to apothecary. They have such a wide range of holistic items and often hold workshops and tarot readings. I like that they support local makers too. Some of the items are a bit pricey, but the bulk herbs make up for that in my opinion.

Visited this kind of store the first time for some sage and oils. Ill be away from home this week and I just want to make sure I have em. I happen to ask about amethyst since i read some good stuff it can do(not really sure), so I asked the lady and she said, its a rock.I was waiting for more.. well the other reviews said, knowledgeable staff...I felt I can get more info if I went Safeway, or Target.I guess shes just there for her hours.Not helpful at all.

Recently attended the Organic Spa Day event and was lucky to snag a mini-facial with Courtney from Evan Healy (dont know what she did, but I was on another planet after only an half-hour!). The event was well organized, and the staff was warm, welcoming and very knowledgeable. The gift bag was filled with luscious organic product samplers to take home. Well worth the $20 price tag for an afternoon of pampering, connecting and chilling in the Scarlet Sage Wellness Center. Ill be back for future events!

Great place, very broad/wide selection of products, well organized & layed out for a small shop, easy to navigate & find what you want - staff is always available & willing to give you advice but will never offer information if unsure. Lots of reading materials & research resources in the store to help make decisions. Off street parking incl. meters rarely, if ever, a problem. Decent prices also - Has been my go-to shop for herbs, vitamins, & related for years.

I visited last night to pick up some herbal tea and oil. When I walked in no one greeted me. There were about 5-6 employees to 7 customers.I walked around the tiny shop for about ten minutes clearly unable to locate what I needed. Not one person asked if I needed help or if I was finding everything ok.I have been teaching down the street from this shop for ten years and I know the demographic make up of the mission has drastically changed. But I did not expect that this reality would translate into poor customer service based on my inability to look like the new residence or the employees.I have dedicated so much of my life investing in this community and it’s unfortunate and sad that I cannot be greeted or helped in a local shop.For a shop that sells crystals and sage you all are truly missing the mark.

This store feels like it has so much to offer in herbs and holistic goods. I feel like it would take me several times of browsing their selection to take in all that the have to offer, even though the store is very small. It gets quite busy and crowded which makes me wish they had a bigger space. The staff is very friendly and very helpful and this feels like a good place to go if I have questions or am looking for anything unusual.

You know how some places, you always find something you want and take home? Scarlet Sage is like that. We have one of their Mexican metalwork hearts in our kitchen, several of their Tarot decks on the shelf, their books in a pile, the cards they sell to send to each other in moments when we appreciate or miss the company... It is a good place; and yes, it smells wonderful.

The teacher was very skilled and the class interesting- I learned new things. the time allocated was too short however to cover the whole material in a relaxed way: I felt that the teacher had to rush through it for lack time. I think a 2-hour class would have been better.

Review for Woven Tarot Class with Mary Grisey:TBH, this was really for beginners, people who havent touched the tarot. Last in a four part series, this class was an overview of the Major Arcana cards 9-21. Mary gave her take on each of the cards, after which we all very briefly reflected, and then shared any insights we had as a group. I appreciated the shared reflections, but this is work that one can do on ones own. There wasnt any group work other than this brief sharing, which was a bummer for me, I was looking for more discussion and insight.What I took away from it is that I could charge $40 a person to do a class too.

This place is a heavenly place and the crew is very sweet and know a lot about every thing.

Great Crystals can be a little pricey but they did have sea moss ! The have alot in a small place books and deordant toothpaste to incense easy to lose track of time so many treasures!

Taurus New Moon Tarot Workshop with Casey ZabalaI was really looking forward to this class. The workshop was described as great for those who are starting to work with the tarot (or the seasoned reader). I would never recommend this type of class for a beginner. I spent most of the class confused and did not walk away with much knowledge of anything. It seemed to be too large of a group to really workshop anything. There was a definite lack of cohesion. I expected more for $25. Super bummed. :(

Last weekend I took a fragrance blending class with Mauricio Garcia and it was so informative and interactive, I walked away even more confident in my pursuit of Natural Perfume Making.

Scarlet Sage is a great place for flower essence and other aromatherapy products. BTW, I ran into an old flame last time I was here; she smelled great, too. So guys, dont be afraid to be the only male here.

My,Go To,herb shop,when down in the BA from Oregon.Helpful friendly people,and a low key,high energy environ.Very reasonable prices.So reasonable,i bought all their Herb Pharm Ashwagandha tincture!.Couldnt find it cheaper online.Use a large variety of tinctures and compounds,and this shop seems to have them all available.And,based on my understanding,have a broadbased knowledge of the products they stock and sell.Thanks,folks,appreciate you!.
