First time customer and I walked in, no appointment or pre-order. Minimal wait time. The staff was so helpful and experienced. I loved talking and learning about their products. Would happily go back if I lived in the area.

I spent 40 frikken bones on a grinder that was touted as premiere and best quality; only for the wood to crack a few weeks after purchase. Unfortunately this has led to the grinder no longer being usable.Based on the multiple cracks and the warped shape of the wood, it looks like its caused by wood that was worked with before fully drying. Meaning this is simply an issue with craftsmanship, rather than poor design (so maybe I just got unlucky? Maybe theyre all built poorly?).All of this being said, unfortunately I cant reccommend their accessories

While the store itself (Castro location) is convenient and the staff is exceptional up their knowledge of products sold. We explained what we were looking for and directed to several products. The pros and cons of each clearly explained. The issue we have is not with the store or staff, it’s the website. This is truly the worst possible website for a business. Navigation is abominable and still have never been able to pull up an actual menu of products s available. Who ever created this web portal was high at the time it was launched.

This place generally has very fair pricing on flowers, However this time after purchasing a oz of gdp smalls I noticed a very unpleasant taste that resembled mold a good taste also came through resembling the authentic flower terpenes. I feel this was a quality control accident or it what I hope...

The interior of the store is similar to a Jewelry store in an upscale mall. I live out of state but hope to return for a visit soon...Very pleased with the entire experience.

Beautiful interior with comfortable seating for waiting times, which wasnt very long at all. Friendly staff and helpful greetings made the first time very easy. The selection Is really good for actual cannabis with a fair amount of edibles and pen options as well. A really nice rewards program too something I dont see too often.

This is my favorite dispensary in the City. It has a good selection and good prices, and they have a great staff. Ive had issues at other nearby dispensaries when Ive had to return defective 510 thread cartridges, but these guys have never given me a problem.

The law legalizing recreational use is still more than 6 months from going into effect.

If you have questions about their products, the sales associates are knowlwdgeble and can help point you towards a cannabis product to meet your needs. The one on one service is my favorite thing about the Apothecarium. I have not experienced that kind of service from any other dispensary in Sf.

Staff is very friendly and more professional than at other dispensaries Ive visited. Top-shelf bud. Large menu of diverse items including weed pills, wax cartridges, flower, prerolls, chocolate, etc. Location is also super convenient for walking over to Dolores Park.Only downsides are that their line gets very long (30+ min wait), especially around 5-6 PM, and their airtight bags arent made very well and break easily. If you are taking flower on the metro, you are way better off bringing your own jar to store it in, just to be courteous and not reek.

High quality Cannabis, high quality budtenders. Collectively theyve focused on the medicinal knowledge of the herb. Been going for years and will continue too. Since the new location theyve stocked a beautiful boutique of goodies that are elegant AF. Be sure to check when theyve got demos going on or the classes happening if you want learn more.

Went for the 1st time to get CBD for a family member going through nicotine withdrawal. The place is decidedly fancy, and clearly is used to um... helping old, uncomfortable 1st timers through the process. And, the CBD pills we got were remarkably effective for said family member, who went from climbing the walls, crazy irritable, agitated to relaxed, fine, just a little sleepy in like a hour.

Internationals are not welcome at this place. We showed them our IDs, even our driving license, but they were unwilling to let us in unless we had our passports. It is not common for tourists to walk freely with their passports due to the possibility of loss and the importance of getting back home. Luckily we found a place a few blocks further that were kind and happy to take our country ID. Never coming back again.

This place is an unnecessarily over the top experience, I’m just trying to buy some weed, not go to a fancy hair salon. It’s always really busy and you have to wait half an hour in overly bright lighting to buy anything and also they make you fill out all this paperwork and scan your ID and take all this information for no reason. You’re way better off going to BASA if you’re just trying to buy a quick joint and go.

Always have a great experience shopping and interacting with the knowledgeable staff. EXCEPT this after noon Monday 10/14 when an engaging scruffy selfProclaimed “hippy” man was the bud tender. Not only did he talk over me when I attempted to ask questions he offered non information. I had specific questions about the content and ingredients of a recent purchase a Monarch Legion Vape cartridge, and questions about safety in light of the recent cases in the news.He did not at all answer my questions even after I restated my questions ( after he talked over me ), rather continued ranting double speak and then cited conspiracy theories about the govt and gun control.I then (switching gears) asked about a specific strain of flower (to purchase) as was still and am unsure of the long term co sequences of the vape cartridges I had previously purchased And he proceeded on a garrulous rant about a hybrid strain that was not what I asked for . I had NO confidence that this man knew what he was talking about at all.I will be back, because I love your dispensary and have made many prior purchases but I will avoid this odd and off putting man . The staff have always been polite, well spoken and well educated when I’ve shopped . This man was none of those things and ILeft the store without a purchaseLiam

Have been a member for quite a while! I especially like how welcoming and accommodating the staff is to senior citizens. I even met a wooooooderful young woman whose also a Jackie! Ahhhh, its the little things.

I took a taxi there only to be told that they dont accept international IDs at that branch, yet they accept it at another branch, which I found confusing.So, rather than being assisted to see how this problem could be alleviated, or having an explanation offered, I was then told to go outside.So if you dont want to be treated like a second class citizen I would highly recommend going to MedMen which recognizes that humans dont only originate from USA. Someone inside also recommended that I use delivery over these people.

The receptionist in the front was very professional, well groomed and polite. The facility was clean and tasteful. The budtender (I wish I could remember his name) looked like he just rolled out of bed and came to work in the clothes he passed out in the night before. He had unkempt hair and beard, and seemed to lack knowledge​ and professionalism. He was not helpful at all. He struck me as a stoner who thought itd be cool to work at a dispensary. I tipped him a dollar out of pity more than anything else. Not impressed. With so many quality stores who value professional service and appearance, why would I choose to come back here? I wont.

Prejudice and Rude towards Black customers. The clerk who signed me in, allowed every other customer (white) to be served (even customers who came in after me)It was very disheartening to watch as other customers saw this take place as well. I feel very embarrassed for going.

Too often you are hurried through these establishments.I would agree with other reviews suggesting a bougie experience. Well thats what I wanted. This dispensary has gone downhill at a fast pace. Misinformed staff, always out of stock - even after checking leafly. Been here countless times to find out they do or stock what they say they do. Always used driving license as form of ID. Last time refused entry as needed “passport” too. As a US citizen. Compete joke. Avoid.

Warning the bud is rediculously overpriced. I bought two cones for 15 bucks and they were 3 times smaller than the two dollar ones i could get at cookies across town. Two stars for the friendly customer service and the nice interior. If someone advertises their weed as ‘classy’ you know you’re getting ripped off. Go to Cookies, and youll save money and the weed is just as good.

The fOlks here were wonderful in explaining best options ...where to begin, etc. I am 75 with scolesis, and knee problems. They gave me low dose alternatives to analgesic pain pills, and they have truly helped. A more natural alternative to other pharmaceutical pain drugsTHANK YOU!

Went there once on a recommendation from a friend, took forever to get signed in, waited forever again on the chairs before I got to see a bud tender. When I was finally seen, the bud tender didnt seem to know the product that well and was vague on any answers and then rushed me out the door with a snippy attitude. The product was good however.

Really nice people. The experience was not only quick and efficient but helpful. Im an experienced cannabis user but Davante took the time and care to explain things in detail. Not just percentage of THC and CBD like youd expect but compare and contrast. He even went out of his way to recommend strains based on turpenes, smell, and comparison to other strains I might know. To put the extra cream on top I got a discount without even asking and because we were traveling he made a great recommendation for food and drinks locally. Wow thank you!

Do not go here!! We are visiting SF and did not do our research. We paid $65 (!!!) dollars for an EIGHTH. With eaze you can get an eighth for 15 dollars and it’s delivered to your house. And what’s up with all the unnecessary boxes and plastic it comes in. Why not just weigh and bag it in store in a plastic baggie, maybe it wouldn’t be so ridiculously expensive... Will not be going here again

While generally a nice looking store with friendly staff the issue is the actual product. Visiting from Seattle I thought this store really knew their stuff but when I got to using some pre-rolls I bought and realized that these people don’t know how to pack, good luck trying to light up again after sesh. Keep your fancy store - just give me product that works reliably.

New to cannabis. Bought a dosist pen (first vape pen ever) on the recommendation of a staff member. It didnt get me high at all (Im pretty tall). Took it back wishing to buy a different, more effective one and these guys happily exchanged it. All I had to do was pay the difference.Moral of the story is that dosist pens suck, but The Apothercarium certainly doesnt!!

As a visitor from Michigan, I was pleasantly surprised at how classy, clean, and professional the Apothecarium was. I was greeted at the door, and was carded, and entered into their database. They handed me a menu to review while I waited on plush chairs. There are specs on each strand, and prices for the various amounts available to purchase, from a 1g prerolled, up to an ounce. It was a bit pricier than the street, but there is quality control, and packaging, and taxes. (I wish Michigan would legalize recreational marijuana! Id gladly pay a leagalized price if they put the funds towards education, and fixing our roads, but I digress...) The gentleman who waited on me was distinguished, and very knowledgeable. The entire experience was enlightening! I recommend visiting anytime youre in San Francisco.PS: After completing my review above, I read the negative reviews below, and I cant believe they went to the same establishment! I didnt wait, but maybe 5 minutes total, and I was provided my receipt without asking for it. I noticed that in each of the reviews either the owner, or the general manager, has replied to each customer in a very professional way. My experience was so different than some of the others described that I have to believe this cannabis boutique has learned and improved, and will continue to grow. I cant wait to visit again!

But somebody has to help these people pay their Uber-high rent.The selection here is definitely behind the times. I think this location is best suited for OLDER patience who like to be told what to buy.Basically the selection is weak. And I just hate it when people make a bunch of hype over something only to be fooled by its mediocrity.The flower selection is nice however the concentrates and cartridges leaves a lot to be desired and doesnt compare with the actual demands of the market.YAWN!Spend 10 minutes on BART and go to Oakland; youll be glad you did!

I have been given the wrong brand sealed inside a bag at 5 separate times. I feel deeply discriminated by these ppl . They have double charged my Debit card three days after my purchase under a Santa Rosa consulting co. I had to wait 5 days (8) days after purchase for their pending charge under a second name, to finally drop off. Debit card reported as fraud, ten days to receive new debit card . Had to Re set all my bills to new card . I went in to apothicarium explaining what had happened they were argumentative. I will NEVER go back. Sexual discrimination!!

The salesman had a nasty attitude and no knowledge about the products on their menu that I had come to purchase. He couldnt tell whether an edible was vegan or not. He even got the milligrams and the number of pieces on a chocolate bar wrong. He was speaking in a sotto voce right in front of me and was giving me a very disdainful and supercilious attitude. I dont know what his deal was, but he needed to chill. Seeing this behaviour, I just left from there.

Me and my fiance just got married and we having a layover in San Francisco we decided to stop here its so beautiful ambience is very San Francisco not to mention the customer service is exceptional I would W come back here again and recommended for friends.Tatyana was amazing and Yaz was more then helpful.

Its a nice clean facility, but being from Vegas and being familiar with dispensaries, thi was not a very welcoming place, not very good displays of products(they do have an old school printed out list tho) over all not bad but no where near the best.

The bud I purchased looked completely different than it was advertised in the pics on their menu.

Very poor experience. I will not being going back but will take my business elsewhere. Perhaps I just got unlucky with the two staff I interacted with but from the front desk person to the sales person who helped me navigate the menu I experienced nothing but condescension and attitude. Im friendly and curious and had genuine questions about CBD vapes, THC edibles and info on marijuana in general. I wanted to make sure to pick the right product for my chronic pain and also get something for my mother who experiences severe pain as well. I expressed this to the late thirties/early forties sales lady but she had attitude right off the bat, was very impatient and curt as if Id arrived to bother her during her break time. I felt rushed trying to look at their menu so settled on a cbd vape for myself and took my money and business to Harvest in the richmond district to get something for my mother rather than endure any more tude and bad vibes. Maybe due to early boom times business is so good they dont care or because they dress up the interior and their customer service set up to be like an apple store they feel like their doing the customer a favor, but I would recommend going elsewhere.

Granted i am spoiled rotten but this place is way over priced. Tried to buy an 8th for $35. They were out of 8ths so the counter guy offered grams at $13 each. Nope. Thats $39 for just 3 grams. Not cool. Way to much packaging used when you pre weigh everything. This weed is not even dry! This was my second visit and i will not be back.

Place has a luxurious feeling when you walk in. It reminded me walking into the lobby of a 5-star hotel. Everyone was super nice and attentive. Their is a sitting area while you wait for your name to be called. Products are listed in a fancy heavy menu book. Those features are all well and good but I prefer to look at the menu in digital signage while I wait in line, and I also like looking at a display cases showing their edibles, oils, and other goodies. They dont do that, I guess to create the illusion of luxury. If Im pressed for time and happen to be to the neighborhood, Id go here. Otherwise I go to my usual goto place, BASA at Divisadero and Grove. They display their products, have digital signage that keep up with fluctuations in prices of flowers, and best of all, the prices are much lower than the Apothecarium.

Nice shop, professional and kind of fancy inside. Love the flocked wallpaper. They have cbd/cbn bath salts with camphor also Kind Rub and some other topical pain salves.
