Best dispensary in my ten years of living in SF. I have been buying extracts from Grassroots everyday for 3+yrs, and am blown away by the service and selection compared to the bigger/fancier dispensaries. They provide ALL of the top shelf, mid-shelf, and even discount extracts everyday. The staff are also on another level compared to other dispensaries. (Grayson is professional and personable, always makes my visit a good one)

Am not from the CA area and had a few questions… a gentleman went above and beyond to answer each and every one of them. this store’s passion for the industry could be felt through their employees and i truly appreciated that aspect. prices were great and very competitive considering this is near Union Square. 6/5 stars!

Just last week, going into Grass Roots was my very first experience with a dispensary, and it far exceeds anything I was expecting. I encountered a friendly staff, especially my budtender, whom I worked with on each of my three visits. I wish I had gotten her name, but she was the only blonde working there. The service she provided was impeccable! Not only was she genuinely friendly, she was highly knowledgeable when it came to every product I inquired about. She certainly helped make it a fun experience. I cant wait to pay Grass Roots another visit when Im in SF again.

I usually buy my concentrate at purple star md. and avoid grassroots due to poor quality products. today I decided to give grassroots a second chance. not once but twice the concentrate was very poor quality and different from other places even though the brand is the same. and it does not have a seal like other places. very shady. it feels like they dilute the concentrate. go to other dispensaries unless you really need weed

Very friendly staff, a nice little shop and they were very in formative.

We were all novices and really didnt have any idea what to buy or how to choose. The guys who worked there were extremely helpful and described the different strains. I got a couple packs of the gummies and some pre-rolled joints, figured I might as well make it easy on myself. I was impressed with their selection and variety. Highly recommend!

They had me place an order and then told me they stopped delivery at 8pm!!!! Their website says 9. I wasted 30 minutes creating a profile and being helped by an agent for nothing. First person told me they are out for delivery already and second person said they went home

My experience at SF Grass Roots is usually pleasant and their products usually pretty good, but my recent experience and product purchase were both disappointing. The clerk recommended one of their higher priced products and said it was his favorite, it was sorly disappointing. It was a really poor quality product.

This is my favorite weed dispensary in SF! I tried a couple of other places but I could only find the best quality weed at Grass Roots where they know my name too! I even rented an apartment right behind the dispensary to never run out or worry about it! Two years later and Im still their loyal customer! The security is over the top, budtenders are so professional and friendly and the music is always awesome when you come in! Dont hesitate and dont forget to tip! ✌️

Small to medium sized dispensary. I like the staff, some of the dudes working the door are a bit standoffish but the budtenders are chill. The ambiance is cool. One thing I like about this place is that most of their products have a final price resulting in a round number. So, youll get a cartridge and with tax, itll be like $40.

Many years ago, I would frequent Grass Roots until I had a dust up with a manager over returning a new vape cartridge that didn’t work. He refused to exchange or give me a credit. I never went back until just recently. I’m so glad I did. They have an excellent variety of products.With delivery service, it makes it much more convenient and easier for us who don’t feel like or just can’t shlep to the dispensary.Thank you, Grass Roots.

I’ve gone to grassroots for 9 months, Most of the staff is cool Like, Carlos, Afro guy, and the sweet brown skinned girl, who Always greet me with a smile and offer amazing service . Although some workers come off a little transphobic, and can be off-putting . It’s a clean, safe, and has some really bomb flower . I’d say top 3 dispensaries in San Francisco .

Employees are friendly and helpful, from the front door to the back of the house. i dont like to look at the menu, it reminds me of ordering Chinese food{ 200 item menu] I just cant decide. so the bud tenders always give me something nice, and it surprises me that they dont always throw the top shelf, today I acquired a beautiful sativa from Emerald for around 45 dollars!!! really smooth and somewhat a budget weed, but top grade weed it is once you fire it up . thank you today for your wonderful customer service as well!Jason

Just moved here, door staff/security was super nice, the woman at the counter had no personality and could have cared less if I was there or not. Very blah se blah attitude. Felt somewhat overpriced. This dispensary is closest to my house. Unfortunately I likely won’t go back. Hire an upbeat and knowledgeable bud tender and I would go back. Maybe they have good bud tenders, definitely not today

Not Covid Safe. The employees at Grassroots Dispensary were unable to appropriately/safely wear their masks even after I politely asked them to pull their masks up over their noses. I even saw one employee sneeze with the mask not over their nose.

I already liked this place and the staff, always been served great, and fun times in there, BUT the 10 minutes delivery today was just mind blowing. On point.

I just moved to the neighborhood and my experience was great! Im an outside enjoy life kinda smoker so Grass Roots is perfect for me. Grab and go! The big security dude outside was nice enough to point my taxi driver to a safe place to park (Im old school I take taxis) and explain that the Fire Department is next door and the shop is located in front of a bus stop so no double parking. Experience was spot on from the sweet door guy to the cute budtenders! The bar folk made me feel welcome and we had some laughs at the neighborhood. Im new to the city and its quite the show. Hopefully the city can clean up the homeless and drug problem but thats another rant. At least I know Im safe when I enter and leave. Thank you Grass Roots my new favorite spot! See you soon.

Great Staff. Good bulk discounts in store only. Staff is very knowledgeable about their products. Excellent Edible selection. Cartridges vary by producer make sure you get the one with a ceramic heating element with no wick. Dont switch brands cartridges and batteries! youll have to find a brand you like and only put their cartridges on their batteries.

I come here a few times a week. The place is more dive bar than craft beer. The staff is always solid. The prices are fair and they have quality flower. I do wish they had a reward system though.

$3 debit card fee. Seriously, guys? Went to buy some edibles, the guy at counter spotted that I am foreigner and decided to fool me with this BC about debit card fee. Be careful.

This is my home dispensary, and of course Ill remain loyal, but a couple suggestions: Get rid of the obnoxious menu software - it causes the transactions to take forever. There are very few sorting and filtering options which renders the intended functionality useless. Start a medical only line. Ive opted out of going many times since the deregulation simply because I dont want to wait for each idiot tourist to chat and browse for 15 minutes before the line moves. There are definitely now too many people taking too long and its off putting.

This place was great. As soon as you walk in, you can tell theyre official. They have a large variety, and everything is top-shelf quality. They gave me a free sample because it was my first time in the store. Would highly recommend this to anybody looking for the best dispensary in San Francisco

The people answering the door and letting us in were friendly but the chick working the counter was not helpful at all and was snotty. We walked almost 2 miles to this specific dispensary and were disappointed. We asked a couple of questions and she snapped at my husband telling him the difference was the # of mgs. Most people really don’t know she could have been more helpful and not as snotty.

My go-to dispensary for about 4 years now. Sad to be moving out of the neighborhood. The place is decorated like a Victorian-era saloon: molded tin ceilings, velvet-flocked wallpaper, beautiful wood bar. The staff are all friendly, but professional and knowledgeable about their product. In four years, even the least friendly was just brusque and business-like. There are definitely rush hours when you can expect to wait for 5-10 minutes in line, even with 5 budtenders working, but most of the time the wait inside is less than 3 minutes. Prices are reasonable. Since the prepackaging law went into effect, I miss watching them measure out my goodies, but Ive never been shorted. This is a get it and go dispensary, with no lounge, so dont plan to indulge on the spot. Definitely recommended!

Grass Roots is special. It is an extremely clean facility with very educated and friendly staff, and the products are second to none. The establishment simply does not stock inferior products and most of the medicine is tested so that the patient can come as close as possible to what they truly need. I fee it is the most professional Cannabis Club in San Francisco.

What a marvellous place. The decor is reminiscent of a 20s speakeasy, with flock wallpaper and Chesterfield couches. The staff are so knowledgeable and non-judgemental, which, as foreigners, put us at ease.The range of products is huge, and presented visually on iPads at the counter. A lovely, lovely place.
