Bought 4 SF hats and got names stitched on them it was ready in 40min fast and friendly I believe his name was Tsenguun who offered me the membership which got me an additional $35 dollars off

One of the younger staff was good, the older one wasn’t that pleasant. I got some embroidery done on my caps and he told me to come back an hour later - I showed up and he told me it needed another 20. Cool - but I was just there hanging and checking some caps out and he told me in my face that it would be faster if I wasn’t in the shop. I feel really uncomfortable being chased out of a shop for no reason. I’ve searched for customer service to provide some feedbacks to but there isn’t anything. I hope the owner reviews this shop over at market street

I hate to give this store a 1 start because there were two girls who were absolutely fantastic to me and my young children who came in to buy some hats. After buying a couple hundred $ in hats up the street at another lids we went here because they carried college logo hats. After working with the girls here and selecting 8 hats, including adding some embroidery on 2 of them, the manager came in with a bunch of fast food that he plopped down on the check out counter- his name is Thomas. I joked with him a bit about bringing me lunch at to my surprise he was very rude and ignored me. Then after finding out that my hat was going to take 45-60 minutes to get embroidered I kindly suggested to his employees (the girls) that unfortunately I was not able to wait because we had to catch a flight back home. Since I was not told this before I purchased the hats, the girls were understanding and said they would push to get it done in 30 minutes. The manager, Thomas, lost his mind and started going off on me.....he said under no circumstances was he going to let his girls do it in 30 minutes and that it was too much to ask of them. He got in their faces and talked terribly to them in front of the entire store as well as treated me as though I worked for him. I am a sales manager for a very large tech company in the bay area and I have never treated a customer the way he did, much less an employee. The guy should be fired! Incidentally, the girls finished the embroidery in 25 minutes without expecting anything more from me, so I tipped them each $20 because of their troubles.

Ill say the same thing as other comments. Service is terrible! Go to another lids store, I enjoyed passing by the fishermans lids way more.I wanted to try a 7 3/8 cap as I wasnt sure of my size. So I was basically looking for a cap that size. The welcome of the associate was please ask me if youre looking for a size. Which I did. He answered since we dont have a lot of these Id rather you pick a model and I would look for itI ended up buying a cap he had in a size he had in another store.Obviously not aimed to please or to sell anything. The only purpose seems to do as little as possible for the salary.This occured August first at 11am.

Very terrible service. The staff does not allow to touch caps and try on. Need to re-educate the staff. I then went to the nearby Lids store. The staff at the nearby store had way better customer support. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I am surprised at how poor the customer service is. I am a school teacher so I try to be patient with people and perhaps teach if possible so we can progress as a society.I ask the staff member, Can you help me create a custom hat please to which he responds, not right now so come back later mayne.I come back about an hour later and ask the staff member, excuse me, I would like to place an order for a custom hat, to which he said did you read all the rules on the side? And I said yes. He then says Im busy so tell me what you want. I tell him I would like the word LOVE in all caps written on the front. He tells me read the rules, that word is copywrighted and Im the app here of the store. I am not entirely sure what he meant by that.I wont share the entire story except the ending which was where I asked him to please allow any future customer to finish a question before interrupting it, assuming one knows what will be asked because it can be rude. Especially to the international crowd that is downtown SF, it reflects poorly about American culture and behavior.

Well it is hard to explain my experience without writing a book but here we go,I am a hat collector and have hundreds of new era cap only so I go to hat stores all the time and have probably been to this store over 15 times so my review is not based on a one time visit. There is a Male manager in here that always would be offensive and disrespectful with his comments for example I would be looking at a hat and checking pictures of a similar hat I would have on my phone and he said to me looks like all you do is take pictures and dont purchase anything, we get that a lot let me show you wher our marked down hats are maybe you could offered one of them. And then he giggled.Really ignorant if you ask me, thats just one example .I give the 2 stars because everything and everyone else was good but with management like that it wont be long before the rest of the staff follows his lead and does like wise.I invite you guys to come on down and create your own experience and write your own review.
