This place is a paradise of potential. It has so many items, beautiful, ugly, antique, modern, scraps, and whole pieces of furniture and building supplies. I was in happy awe. My creativity was aflame as I contemplated the opportunities for the items here. The staff is even more exceptional as I received excellent service, guidance, and patience while I asked questions and explored eventually arriving upon the items destined for my home. So glad Building Resources is around; too bad I didnt venture over sooner.

Great ideas being carried out!. All cities in the U.S.A. should set up this type of non-profit to combat the waist and contamination of our planet. Five of Five!

The place is awesome to me because its a smell the roses type of business . The people are friend who run the place and they are also very reasonably priced. We came to get a fat order (a lazy suzan corner cabinet and a 3 section porcelain kitchen sink. It was all there..... What are the odds of this? No much more than a needle in a haystack. The thing is. They dont advertise there invatory, there is no real neat home depot isle that grabs at your attention to lead you and your wallet down the isle and line up at the cash register. You have to come knowing what you. Want, then you might have to spend a little time looking for it.I bet it will be there and the price is way more than right.

I love this place. I always make sure to take building scrap and debris here before a trip to the dump. Theyll take a lot of stuff and make sure it gets used instead of going to landfill. Call before you go to make sure theyll take what you have. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!

The staff is helpful and there are many, many building parts available at extremely reasonable prices. You just have to hunt for your treasures. There are sometimes beautiful pieces, like a really well made wrought iron 6’ tall wine rack that held I think over 80 bottles of wine. Unfortunately, it was too big for my car. If you are looking for other places with building material stores is also Urban Ore in the east bay, which is large, and Restore San Carlos in San Carlos, which has more furniture, cabinets, and less building supplies.

Great place to go get some building materials. I have saved a ton by going here over Lowes sometimes. Well worth checking out. They will also accept donations too. Feels good to be green and save money at the same time.

Great place to donate unused house parts, rather than take them to a landfill. Also a great place to find parts for an old house or an art project - if youre into this kind of thing its really fun just to browse the inventory. They said theyd likley resell the wavy glass windows I brought for $6 per square foot, plus a bit for the frames, much cheaper than some fancy places. Very friendly staff. I showed up close to closing time with a truck load of stuff from my 100 year old house and they didnt complain at all. Theyll give you a tax donation form if you want it.

What a find ! I needed an antique lock to replace an existing one. No luck at home depot or Lowes finding a retro fit one. Building resources had the perfect lock for $6 plus $9 for a key from Dons lock & key resulted in one happy camper.

BR is where to go for reclaimed building materials, ideas, inspiration. Prices are always negotiable . One common sense tip - dont be a total turd, as in treat fellow customers and staff the way you want to be treated, everyone will go above and beyond to help you out . Oh best love dogs too, pretty sure they run the place as well as have run of the place. Cheers

This is a great place, the have wood tile, lighting metal and even the kitchen sink. The prices are fair. Most items are donations diverted from the waste stream. You can purchase and or drop of unwanted building supplies here. There is also an art gallery featuring upcycled materials. This is a good place to find items for art projects too.

Building resources gets 5 stars from me. They have an amazingly large assortment of building resources and you get an incredible art and gardening show every time you go there. The Bonsai pots around the Little Pond were pretty impressive watch the cactus though or youll get stuck. The little windmills were awesome that they make in their spare time as well as the nice fountains. If youre looking for Windows or doors or antique brass hardware or tiles or just about anything and everything imaginable from Adam oyamas house to make your project special this is the place. Prices are negotiable but this is San Francisco. The windows I was looking at were a little too pricey but its for a one-time project and I may be back. Although they may be gone yet could easily be replaced by new windows as in new antique windows that is.

I used a credit card that I NEVER use here, and had not used in months. The next day the card information was fraudulently used to buy computers online. The only explantation is that It had to be this place, someone stole my credit card info and used it. I like the place, but use cash if you go here!

I think I wanted to like it more than I really did. Theres a bunch of things here, but its all a bit more broken down that I was hoping for. I went in looking for some interesting old wood I could use for a few projects and left empty handed. Had I needed 100 beat up old doors or windows then Id have found my spot.
