Nice place close to my home and also Amazon return so easy for me
Good place to buy wholesome food and etc. at a price I would consider reasonable! Good customer service
Always a healthy food option here for a qiick lunch And the beer buyer may be the best in the region.
Its whole foods. They are a slightly smaller store but still have mostly everything
Usually people dont know Whole foods sandwiches are yummy. However, especially, grilled Golden Gate is my favorite one. I like to eat a hot sandwich with beer at their bar space. Actually, many folks enjoy hump day night and lunch time there. It has a big TV, so people enjoy to watch sports games. Since Whole Foods Market became the umbrella company in Amazon, Amazon Prime member has some discounts in the market. If you want to use discount there, you need to download Whole Foods app first!
Nothing much to say. Good store, reliable, good choices for meat and seafood.
Lovely store! They’ll have basically whatever you need. I am so glad I have this grocery shop as a great resource.
This place is changing slowly but unstoppably and not in a good way. There Whole Foods vibe is gone.
Had a package it went to the address instead of the Amazon locker they found it helped me out all good
Despite arriving mere minutes before closing, I was treated to such kindness and efficiency! I was allowed in to do a return by the security guard with no hesitation and the cashier who assisted me was exceptionally helpful. I love ❤️ this location! 🙂
Jimmy makes the best pizza! So friendly and nice too! My fiancée and I always get 1/2 and 1/2 on a Friday night and he is so accommodating! Love the new dough too :) just like Italy.
Great customer experience returning an Amazon order. Quick, efficient and friendly!
There is like one person I love in this store because he has the best customer service ever! Cashier named Kyle. Oh, and one newer gal who works/ed in the medicine and shampoo/beauty aisles (not to be confused with her rude AF supervisor), pity I forgot her name. She was super bright, animated, and bubbly, eager to help, but alas, I had an issue the supervisor sought to power over me about how nobody knows when their own companys brand/product will actually be in stock. Lovely. This is medicinal too, so its fairly important for everyday well being. But not to worry, behind the bubbly awesome people, are the really mean ones that just come out of the woodworks, like little ninjas in the middle of the night, and basically begin the passive aggressive attacks on customers. Oh we have got this one that is 4 to 8 times the price of the peasant price you are looking forUh huh... Yeah, um... No.I was incredibly insulted, shes lucky I didnt remember her name either. Go me for focusing on the positives, right? I remember Kyle all too well, and he deserves a raise. Or to replace unprofessional, tongue-in-cheek, passive-aggressive supervisors who get their jollies off on harassing and insulting customers. Honestly, remove that horrible supervisor from your store please. I was quite happy with the bubbly bright animated lass. And Kyle. Everyone else just pretty much stairs straight ahead and ignores you, even when youre actually seeking out help.Worst dang whole foods experience ever, Ive been a whole foods fan since I stumbled upon them by accident in Long Island, NY... 2007 to 2008, I forget which.OSHA might be intrigued with the conditions of their facilities... 😁Like how I do passive aggressive? Its got witnesses!!!!!!
Run of the mill Whole Foods. High-quality groceries (vegetables, fruits, cheeses, butcher section, seafood), wide array of ready-made foods and meals to choose from. Parking garage attached, entrance on Harrison.Prices are high (as expected) but thats par for the course; thus I usually shop elsewhere.Frustrations abound in trying to use my Amazon prime membership for discounts (turns out the staff wasnt properly trained on the Amazon prime thing). So I stopped even trying. But something about the service...I dont know if its the location, the workers themselves, or the corporate culture...just a quiet indifference to it all. Like a, who cares, itll all be over soon anyway type feel.
Parking might be an issue, but otherwise your typical upscale grocery store. I often go for the store brand. Excellent meats, well worth the money when steak is on the menu. Interestingly early morning this place is buzzing with online orders being prepared, but doesnt affect the regular shopper. Recommended
Theres so much of that delivery going out from whole foods that makes you feel like when youre going to the store to get some food or pick up something there and youre there and national store to go do that but then youve seen just before you can walk in youre seeing about three or four cars with like a ton of bags going into their cars theyre packing their vehicles up for the routes to deliver them and so that makes you feel like am I not or should I be doing this too? You know what? I like going to the store, and seeing other people. Im a people person, and a people watcher. Its interesting to me to see how other people act and do things.
The Straus Cookies and Cream ice cream purchased 5/08/21 was obviously melted and refrozen- had the consistency of ice milk with a thick, separated layer of fat residing on the bottom.
This WFM is a haven for vegetarians and vegans meals. It is our fallback to home cooked meal. And also to try tempting tasty creations, and get ideas for recipes. I love their made-to-order sandwiches, yummy and big enough for two to spilt. And to top it with freshly ground and brewed Americano cup of joe. Prices only make me take a star off their rating.
So many things out of stock, annoying shopper staff, constantly cutting in front or blocking off path forward, will not move to the side when I wanted to pass. Whole Foods use to be a great place to shop and get good produce... Not anymore
There’s never salad bar, never food left after 7pm..
This Whole Foods market location is good for pantry food items but vegetable and fruit section is lacking variety.
Whole Foods is so awesome! I buy my whole wheat bread here. 5 bucks. Just as good as Ezekiel. The day I went they were giving away samples of Toms of Maine soap. Cool. The peanut butter sandwich cookies are nice. I really like the chocolate and bottled water selection. I bought a nice Mexican chocolate here too. They also have cool store brand items at good prices e.g. I bought steel cut oats Whole Foods brand for 3.59. Wines like you wouldnt believe. I like this store. Cheesecake is cool too and at a good price.
Why Im not a fan of this Whole Foods?- I enjoy grocery shopping but when I come in the early morning, the store is always full of packers preparing grocery deliveries, loading shopping carts with six, eight brown bags gaped open, yet another pile of folded bags waiting to be filled. Grocery shopping should be personal, fun, a bit spontaneous but here it feels like fulfilling an order in a factory.- I find the aisles a bit disorienting in general, for example, cheese and cream are in completely different areas (cheese section is right across from wines...oh well, I get it, but its still ridiculous). Moreover, the produce section in this store is small and one shelf is pushed/hidden in the corner next to the chaotic preparation area of packers. There is almost more shelf space for Kimbucha than for fresh legumes.- Im fine with paying a small premium price because this is whole foods, but my favorite Acme Walnut Bread is a whopping $2.5 (40%) more expensive than the price at the Acmes store in Ferry Building. Oh well, Ill get my bread there while getting my daily steps goal too.
Always the best fresh vegetables!
Vegan paradise !!! The most assorted!
Potato salad was mashed potatoes and not cut up pieces of potatoes. Mac & cheese was not tasty and contained hard pieces of macaroni.
Good location, parking garage is odd and weird to get in and out of. Tons of great options though inside.
Vegetables arent fresh sometimes.. bought kale, came home to realize it was half rotten on the inside of the bunch
Love shopping here, always find what I need
This whole foods has more products in it and is nicer then the one on Market street. The products are a little on the high side, but not everything is. It is clean and well stocked also.
Didn’t feel crowded but Amazon deliver employees took all of the carts. They use multiple carts at a time and when I asked to share me or use even a single cart I was told that Amazon get first dibs on them by an employee. Never coming back, Amazon delivery has ruined this location and probably others.
My friend calls it whole paycheck. Cuz... well... you know.
I just have one delivery Im just a nice drive to Oakland and back thats just simple
Before walking 1.4 miles I checked the hours as I knew this location closes early for Prime delivery fulfillment. It clearly states TODAY Sunday the store is open until 7 pm. I thought, “...great I’ll take the walk rather than going to Rhode Island location”. 3 miles round trip great exercise. No food 🤬 Do better Whole Foods.
Very nice people great food very. Fresh
I would love to give a five star review, but I only go there to use the Amazon hub lockers.
Absolutely miserable shopping experience. The store has completely been taken over by professional shoppers aggressively moving through filling orders as quickly as possible. On our 8/23 visit the store was packed to the gills and I only saw 5 other shoppers buying their own things. I am never going back. Trader Joes from now on.
The vegetable are fresh and if you want the organic foods you must visit the whole foods
Nice store to shop. Short line to pay most of the time.
Its ok but a little expensive for some stuff
Its a old store. But it good
It’s an okay store with nice employees, a bizarre layout, decent prepared food, and a very good wine selection.Their hours are absurd as they use most of the day for Prime shoppers. This is an urban location and many of us have to walk to get groceries.
Its ok didnt have all I wanted
4th & Harrison in San Francisco was absolutely Awesome!**
Very helpful staff at this location.
Good as usual.
Good quality produce but this Whole Foods is overrun with Prime shoppers, even during the very limited hours the store is open to the public. Worse yet, these people blatantly ignore their own stores social distancing rules. Management refuses to do anything about it.
Over priced but very helpful and polite staff
This used to be my favorite place to shop until COVID hit. Now its like being in an Amazon fulfillment center with super rude shoppers crowding throughout the store. Social distancing is not a thing!
Weird store layout, but good selections.
Cramped up and feels a little disorganized but you get what you want. In and out.
The best!
Very good store to go to buy healthy food
Beer bar is great. One of the only bigger grocery stores downtown. Good salad/hot bar. Its not one of the super big stores but its got everything you need.
Havent been able to go since they shortened their opening times- please consider bringing back full hours and limiting customer capacity!
Went there after work around 6pm because theyre only a couple of blocks away but they were closed. Didnt know they closed so early. I guess I wont be going there until this pandemic is over.
Good food, the staff excellent but the people from Uber, Amazon delivery food is a mess with them, they don’t respect the social distancing, they are running and following their cell phones.
Bring your wallet
Best Whole Foods in the city! Excellent food and great Customer Service!
Not a fan of the one line option especially for quick pick up.
Pros: the most convenient of locations. The craft beer bar generally has a good selection and their beer buyer is pretty good.Cons: relatively small selection of products, and a relatively small WF in general. The produce quality always leaves something to be desired, and the prices as well. I wish I had time to walk to the Guss down the street (in the tip of mission bay), but this place is very convenient.
Great selection of foods. Staff really on point with good knowledge. Good offerings for specific dietary requirements.
I had a terrible experience shopping at this branch today during evening commute hours around 6:40pm because of a condescending store staff/manager.I walked in the store with my electronic scooter, and a tall security person said I could not roll my scooter inside the store, and kindly asked me to either fold the scooter or park it near the entrance. Since my scooter doesnt fold, I left it near the entrance, in an empty spot next to two lines of shopping cart. The security guy nodded and smiled at me after I parked the scooter.I then went ahead to shop for about ten minutes. When I was checking out, I heard PA system asking for the owner of a scooter. I went to the area where my scooter was a parked, and a 6-foot white male with medium-length brown hair asked me if it was my scooter and told me I couldnt park there without telling me the exact reason. I mentioned that I was directed by the security guy, but he immediately refuted by saying This cannot be true. This has happened so many times., as if I was trying to lie. I repeated my statement, and he continued by enumerating the places I could park the scooter in a very condescending tone and left immediately after he was done. One of the places he asked me to park the scooter was outside the store, which has high foot traffic during the commute hour and is very likely to have the scooter stolen.I have for the most part very good experience at Wholefoods, and I am surprised to encounter a worker like him. I understand that parking the scooter in the shopping cart area has caused inconvenience for the other worker there, but I think instead of:1. assuming their customer is a liar2. treating their customer like pests3. spending all their energy making their customer unhappyThey should:1. kindly inform their customer why it was not a good idea to park there2. communicate with each other in terms of where people can park their vehicles, and I will be more than happy to comply (just as I did following the security guys instruction). And more importantly, because there are many commuters who visit this store, and many people were rolling their bikes in the store, they should spend more of their time improving the store layout and find a place to allow commuters to park their vehicles safely, so that commuters will have more reasons to make a stop at Wholefoods after work. He already mentioned that this has happened so many times, why cant we work on it to make it better for everyone?
Well stocked and a lot of vegan options available
It’s a Whole Foods, so about the same as all others. The location is convenient, and despite being on the smaller side, they manage to stock a ton of stuff! I’ve never had trouble getting the pricey foods I was looking for here. Also the staff is friendly and many of them have good hair.
This Whole Foods used to have a very nice salad bar due to being in sf — but unfortunately amazon decided to homogenize it & make it aligned with suburban branches. The quality plummeted and while it’s not the worst, it’s definitely a shadow of what it once was. Some dishes here wouldn’t be out of place at the olive gardens or Denny’s! It’s still decent considering how expensive and unhealthy most take out food in the area is, and you can get away with a $5 meal but it feels like a sprouts salad bar. Spiced & seasoned salad mixes have been replaced by deep fried tofu bathed in what tastes like corn syrup & feels like it came from frozen packaging (it’s probably pressure from amazon). Head for the market salad bar by Twitter for the good stuff. It’s cool that the fruit section is nearby though !
As far as quality goes you cant be Whole Foods and Im sure youve heard the nickname Whole Paycheck. Some people thought that the Amazon purchase of this change would bring efficiency and lower prices, wrong. I think they see this as the Apple Computer of grocery stores charging 2 to 3 time their cost on items. Something other big chain stores cant do as they are counting on volume. When I want a good piece of meat I go here excellent Butcher shop. 5 star selection and service minus one star for $
This is one of the most mismanaged Whole Foods stores out there. The bearded guy at the checkout needs to adjust his attitude and learn some customer skills. Can’t believe they have someone like that is in a customer-facing role.
I was disappointed when came in on June 30 with some friends. We wanted to enjoy some burgers and beer at the cafe for lunch. I recently learned it was closed so the staff could do inventory because it was the it was the end of the month. Most businesses are capable of doing after business hours so customers aren’t affected. Whole Foods please catch up with your peers.
The place is clean, the staff are friendly and the food is good and of course, healthy and organic. Perfect for lunch. They have a huge salad/hot bar which is currently (03/20) priced at $9.99 lbs which is a good price compared to a salad/hot bar restaurants. Breakfast is served from 8-11 and lunch after until closing around 10pm. The menu changes, certain Staples remain. They have a sushi area where they can make your order or you can grab a premade version. They have a build your own Poke bowl $ 9.99 cart by the seafood Dept. Fresh Pizza is at the ready for $4 a slice. Burritos and sandwiches made to order. Thats not enough choices you say? Well, its a grocery store, so, your limited by your imagination at this point 😜 grab a whole chicken, organic for $9.99, a bag of salad in produce for 4.99 and you can feed a family of 4 . Theres a huge line during lunch rush but the cashiers are fast. Wait line is between 1-5 minutes Bec majority of customers are only buying lunch at that time and hardly any grocery shopping is being done.If the seating area next to the register is full, seats approximately 30 people, theres seating area on the second floor, next to the garage. Yes.... Garage 😁Its sad that they closed down the tap room, yes, you used to be able to buy and drink alcoholic bev w lunch. 😩
Small whole food but had everything you need
Great! Beautiful, clean, organized. Very friendly team members. Michelle in Whole Body told me about their upcoming sale. We had a lovely chat....I am a former employee. I opened Whole Foods, Time Warner in NYC 12 years ago in Prepared Foods. I now work in a local restaurant. The best part of my experience....no crowds and no lines. A hidden gem. Amazing!
I work close to this place and I swear this one is better than other whole foods. It works when I want to buy a healthy lunch (watch out for those big boxes, that weight adds up!) It also has a good grocery selection. It also has great hippy supplies like organic cotton rounds or wellness algae. Most importantly, it has a bar with a lovely and kind bartender. It has almost everything that I am looking for and that aint too shabby for a Whole Foods.
This is used to be primary grocery location for so many years… until traffic over here made it impossible to keep it as such (welcome to SF). Location itself is great with very decent varieties of fresh produce, groceries and prepared foods. If you live couple of blocks away – it is easy option, but if you not, have to check more “parking friendly” locations of WFM. Stopping here for lunch all the time when in the area by foot :-)
What on earth happened to the burrito???Ive been coming here for years and frequently order the burrito which used to be a decent size. Tonight I had to look around for the candid camera when I was handed a burrito the size of a Tootsie Roll. Seriously? Some new cost-cutting manager in charge? It was practically nothing but a rolled up tortilla with maybe a teaspoon of stuff inside. I mean this thing was smaller than your average child-sized burrito.Well, back to the Mission if I want a burrito from now on I suppose.Great quality, super-fresh produce, clean store, and nice service...but ouch--how much did that apple cost??The deli makes an excellent sandwich (good sized too) at a decent price though. Great place to stop by for a lunch to go.minus 1 star for sometimes astronomical prices
This store is not as spacious and organized like the other wholefoods stores which give a great shopping experience like the one in redwood city.
Good quality food and solid service. Would prefer a broader assortment.
Not one of the better whole foods. Tried to get some hot chicken soup and the container was empty. Asked an employee walking by if she knew if more soup was coming, she replied not my department and kept walking. Asked another employee I saw refilling the hot area and she didnt speak English. Mentioned my experience to the cashier and he said hes just a lowly cashier and invited me the fill out a comment card that can be found at the front of the store.
I come here way too often, but its so convenient from my work and the prices are reasonable, especially compared to a lot of the restaurants within SOMA. Often get a custom made sandwich here at a good price. Or some from the hot bar as they have a wide variety of options that cater to most diets. Can even come here for a beer for happy hour drinks after work.
Plenty of products for quick shopping visits. Fresh food and cooked dishes, ready to eat.
Nice and clean store w/ Friendly down to earth cashiers!✊🏾
Its salad bar...their soups, produce, selection....hardworking employees and their knowledge in products... Their animal hats for kids & adults are fabulous!
One stop for all organic grocery. Trust is what whole foods deliver.
It feels bougeee to say but I love whole foods. I dont buy groceries here since its too expensive but I often buy picnic snacks before an expedition at whole foods
Wow. Selection is amazing. Beer fridges are stocked with the usual suspects plus some random high-end one-offs (they had Eclipse). Staff are amazing. Parking is a bit hard but its a quick walk from most public transport spots.
I love this market because of the location. I can always find everything i need and much more.So convenient for me.
Lovely closed, air-conditioned supermarket with a wide range of upscale, high quality food products. Shopping here is always a great experience, even if it’s more expensive than your typical corner store. Highly recommended.
Quite a good selection of foods. Although the hot food section should have closures over the food because anyone could cough or sneeze. Potential for germs to spread. Might seem pedantic but the rest of the shop and value for money is great.
