This is a great family owned market, and I have been a patron for 4 years. It has improved immensely. They are continuously expanding their selection of fish, produce, meat, and other items.Sure, the prices are bit higher than major retailers like Safeway, but the quality of the items they sell are also much higher. Id rather spend my money with this small business anyways. Will continue to shop here for the distant future.
I do all my grocery shopping here. For a small independently owned business they have an incredible selection. I’m particularly fond of the fresh produce and butcher shop. Staff is all very friendly which adds to the experience.
We can typically find almost anything we need, including gluten free options. they have a great organic selection and ive never seen an item i am looking for not in stock. sometimes it can be a little hard to track down an employee to find help locating an item but its all good!
Seems like a cool store. I like that it is one of the first health food stores in the area according to their website. 100% organic produce seems reasonably priced for organic.
Real Foods on Polk is a reasonable price source for Maine Grains organic flours. The red fife whole wheat organic makes the best home baked round loaf ever.
Very urban SF vibe and great coffee bean options.......city life
Nice neighborhood store. Pricey but convenient.
A little pricey but good quality with an emphasis on organic foods.
My favorite market in the city, pretty much has anything I need. I go all the time!
Good selection, nice staff, little on the over expensive side
Great store. They do a great job of stocking especially during the covid pandemic. Thank you guys for the supporting the comunity. ❤️
We decided to give it a shot and go grocery shopping at this place! First of all very expensive and low quality, confusing everything everywhere and to top more horrible customer service! There are much better groceries near by! Never 👎 again.
Real Foods is a fabulous store with Great healthy foods and wonderful helpful staff 🙂
They are frequently out of items and lack consistency. I only go there when Im desperate.
Love this place! They have literally everything vegan and plant based you could imagine. Even when I stopped being vegan I still come here for their prepacked foods. After my Sunday morning workouts I swing by for their salads and turkey sandwiches for quick lunches on the go for Monday and Tuesday.
We came from Texas for a little vacation, we stayed close to the grocery store and decided to support the local business, the experience we had in this place was anything but bad, overpriced, bad customer service and and very disorganized. Thanks We will never come back!
Great selection of a wide range of produce!
I guess its a great selection when you have no food on the shelves for the majority of the week. Also make sure the break room upstairs is plenty big so the vitamins take up a quarter of your floor space. The shelves were more than 60% empty today. Same with last week, and vegis that wont last more than a day at home before wilting. Time to get your s together or move out of the neighborhood.
Its a great neighborhood health food store.
I love this place! Nice little market with a really good selection of meats, fruits and vegetables, not to mention the wines and cheeses plus lots of health care products!
Just moved to the neighborhood and love this store. Staff was really helpful and friendly and I enjoyed everything I purchased!
Sadly, this neighborhood place is going down hill fast and could have a great business if it seemed like RFC cared. In an ideal world RFC would take lessons from BiRite. The shelves are empty at times and employee morale and customer service are low. There is an opportunity here for change or new management. That would make everyone happy including the employees . . I am guessing.
Great store, its like a mini whole foods. I love their already marinated meats in the back. Try the lemon garlic pork!
I can only comment as a visitor to the neighborhood, wandering around Russian Hill and Nob Hill. We were hungry and while there were a number of cafes in the area, I wanted more than just coffee for snacking. All of the Real Food stores carry gluten free cereal, bread, bars (like Lara and Bumble bars), and usually gluten free cookies and chips.
Ive always liked this place since I began going there since the 70s, I believe. A very fine tuned selectio in to wholesome food.
Such an amazing place to shop but so expensive. Consider the typical price of something and add $2. Anything you buy there will be healthy, organic and wonderful though.
Great place to find local/ healthy foods in SF. The staff is awesome and very helpful. They have a rewards program--so make sure to sign up. Plus they have cooking classes and workshops for the community. Its like going to a farmers market in a grocery store.
Went to buy snacks, only good if you like 1 type of cookie or 1 type of anything really. Most of the shelves have remained empty this week.
Lots of great local choices, like it says, Your everyday farmers market.
Like a mini-Whole Foods on Polk! Great produce and kombucha selection.
Fancy grocery store but some good food.
Expensive, but great quality produce!
Disappointed. If you will buy something for cash, double check change.
Ok, if cant go to whole foods.
Super unfriendly staff
Only real food you can get in the city in that area thats not fast food.
Great shopping and produce
Good selection, but expensive
Averagely good
Excellent!
Neighborhood bio store with a large selection.
