This is the main store around! They come on schedule, the room is flawless, and the food will be prepared in around a little while. Subsequent to completing them, I had a profound feeling of achievement. This shop has gotten positive criticism.
I can find organic produce and food at a terrific price! The store also sells household items. The only draw back is the store only sells the items that are available at that time. The advantage is that you can a deep discount!
Clean nice store with a good selection. Kudos to the store manager - a middle aged tattooed Asian guy who calmly handled a bunch of anti-maskers this weekend. No drama, no shouting - he just positioned himself between the anti maskers and the checkpoint. Just a firm “no mask no service” stance - well done.
I have bought in this store for many years in the last months I have noticed a new girl that if I have any questions about a product she speaks to me in the most abusive way and I do not understand her English Benny,, the owners are very friendly they should take time to hire charismatic staff and not abusive with his clients so now i dont recommend it
This is our local (closest) grocery store in the neighborhood. The people that work here are very friendly, helpful, and usually go out of their way to make friendly (but non obtrusive) small talk as youre checking out. The small parking lot can be packed at times, but with some patience (and persistence) youll typically find a spot not too far away.
Great place stock up hard to find items and great to stock up last minute items that forget else where. Great prices all the time and friendly stuff to help at all time.
BEST PRICES ANYWHERE! 9 OR 10 AISLES. LIQUOR/BEER/WINE. DAIRY, MEATS, FRUITS, VEGGIES, CANDY, CHEESES, SODAS, SPICES, ICE CREAMS, CANNED, FROZEN, BAGGED, BOXED, BOTTLED, SIZES...YOU GET THE IDEA.THERE IS A PARKING LOT. THERE IS NOSE-IN PARKING ON GEARY STREET (METERED ??)DID I MENTION THE HOUSEWARES, ELECTRONICS, AND TOILETRIES?
I love Grocery Outlet. The folks that work there are wonderfully kind and super helpful. You can not beat the prices!!! Of course variety of items vary but that is what makes going there fun. Like today, I got a huge ground pepper container and they usually dont carry this. The wine selection is always good hands down. Items I get there consistently include fruit, salad lettuce, minced ginger and minced garlic, la croix waters, baking supplies like flour, baking soda and always the Thomas English muffins!! The icing on the cake is the parking! Its ample and free!
Real friendly store nearby our home, but its changed! Prices are all UP! Something major changed in July with corporate men going thru each store tightening store strategy, and increasing prices enforcing consistency across the chain. Interesting deals all but disappeared and prices are high as regular stores or more. No More bargain hunting! Probably the work of private equity behind the chain. Prices of niche items are the same or more than Wholefoods or Safeway. Too bad, because this was the place you could go to try unique brands with limited distribution at the near end of their shelf life, but low enough to give it a try. That grocery model is no more- our family is not going back.
Prices are maily inexpensive. Collection of goods are not much but, I think, good enough for most of you needs. For instance, you can even buy houseplant here. Parking area is too small, so you may find it difficult to find a space.
This place was the most favorite of my mother for she could buy anything at a lower cost. The products were arranged accordingly so that the customer wont be confused. We could also look here a high quality of products. Good brands? Check! You could no longer also feel the struggle of budgeting. Good prices? Check! So be here now!
Large variety, low prices, great staff, parking lot convenience.
I ordered two coffee, and I was surprised because the orders are made fast. They have the comfiest and adorable couches than any other coffee shops had.
Clean store, low pricing (very easily 25% cheaper than other stores this size), particularly friendly staff, fastest lines anywhere. Love it. The selection varies a bunch and never a guarantee of finding anything specific whether red bell pepper or a bag of flour, but when there is bell pepper it is $1 and the bag of flour is probs King Arthur and $2 cheaper. I guess it could be one stop shop for making spaghetti with meat sauce and salad, but I go to stock up on cheap basics and maybe get inspired for dinner with a inexpensive tri tip or corned beef brisket.
An excellent store to shop! Very clean & always stocked well with everything that I need!
Clean friendly Grocery Outlet has pretty much same groceries as South Van Ness store but larger with more sundries. Right next to 38 Geary stop.
They get deliverys on Monday and Tuesday evening. Best day to shop is Wednesday. Dont expect them to have anything carry over to the next day. Best prices in California.
Fine Im a regular customer what does that tell you
This location is a bit cramped compared to other Grocery Outlets, but the great deals will have you coming back regardless. The staff here has always been friendly.
Loving this place more and more. They now have great grass fed beef, wild salmon and many organic veggies! Best prices in town!!
Love me some GO! Appreciate the Vet discount!
Good deals on all the basics. The only issue is the selection and quality of food is not very strong. Ill keep going because SF does not have many great options for cheap groceries
We went to this grocery store to buy some food and some stuffs for our house. Suddenly my Aunt left the envelope where she puts the money. Fortunately, the security saw the happenings on CCTV he return the money to my aunt. We are very thankful that this place has great security. From now on, this shop is our one-stop-shop.
The store is smaller compared to others. Less option here. Fresh foods are little.
It was good some of the meats were a bit tough but the flavors were nice.
A great place to find deals on food and groceries. Has an awsome selection of beer and wine and their food is extremely reasonable! Always something new when you go and visit!
It should be called Super Grocery shop. This store has everything I am always looking for. From fresh produce to meats and fish. Also, they had a huge selection of cheese. The store is so big and spacious as well. This grocery shop is my go-to shop from now on. I love this place! Easy to find what you are looking for, and friendly assistance when required.
Great place to shop for groceries.
Great shopping for essentials at a discounted price. Brand named spring and distilled water under $1 for one gallon size. Fresh produce and fruits are always inexpensive too! Will always stop by when in the area.
Great local market with consistently better prices then most chain groceries on grocery staples, produce, wine, and general personal care products. They also have an ever changing assortment of non grocery and seasonal closeout items well priced. Staff are always very friendly and helpful.
Prices ok. Service bad. Stay away from Grocery Outlet weekends. They never have enough check out lanes open.
This is where I always go to shop in San Francisco, I wind up spending a lot of time in their alcohol selection because they get in a lot of different stuff each month
Convenient parking and great prices!
Great prices, good service, variety of products.
This grocery shop is incredible! You find here everything you need at a lesser price compared to other competitors.
This supermarket offers thousands of products that you can get with convenience and ease. They also offer free delivery on every first order. Customers can also get free shopping vouchers. This supermarket is an easy way of ordering groceries. What an impressive and exceptional grocery service to its customers.
Parking can be full most of this stores open hours so you might want to come early or late.Staff is friendly, stocking staff has limited English skills so be patient.Always check expiration dates, and if you see an unknown brand you might want to Google it. They sell overstock items from all over the country.Lots of hidden sale gems here that come, and go quickly so stock up because chances are it will be gone by your next visit.Decent produce, and meat prices.Consider checking out most of the aisles to hunt out non advertised limited stock sale items.Check out area can get crowded.
My favorite place to buy groceries in San Francisco. They carry some unique specialty items at discount prices. The only downside is that you often cant find the same item you bought previously.Nevertheless, I never go away disappointed.
If you like a little bit of a treasure hunt and want to save money, I suggest going to grocery outlet youll never know what you find and you usually leave with a lot more than you thought you wanted and a few things to try just for fun because its at a good price. They have quality foods fresh and frozen and a lot of name brand staples. I really shouldnt tell you this because it means itll make it really crowded🤭 but, I think were all on the budget, so I think its a great shop and Im glad its in a neighborhood that is woefully underserved for grocery stores.
Good selection. Checkout lines can be crowded after work.
Small but well-stocked store with bargains galore.Nice to have this as an alternative to Safeway. Check the pull dates on perishables.
Besides great food deals, they have deals on flashlights, pool toys, cell phone cords, sheets, blankets, hair products, beer, booze!!!!!
Grat place to save money...
I love Grocery Outlet. They have bargain food prices, factory ove-runs and products that were just a bit shy of mainstream. Who knew that lime flavored toothpaste was...well, just weird. Anyways, they have things like salami ends. You can take these and slice them up and BAM you are the MVP of the party with out breaking the bank. Want booze, try whisky in a box....whaaaaaaat I thought wine only came in a box. Oh Contrare Mon Frere, it exist and is not bad. I shop here on a regular basis and am always finding something new and exciting. Make no mistake, this is NOT a Costco type store. Its more like a Trader Joes little brother that has a great selection of foods and items you will not find anywhere else. Be cognizant of your location because GO can attract a wide variety of people from all walks of life. All is all, GO is hands down a great place to buy groceries.
Prices are ok but limited selections and not the freshest produce.
Good shopping place for food
If you know grocery outlet, you already know why, right? Random super discounted foods from the entire spectrum of junk to gourmet with an emphasis on bulk containers. Like you can get an entire pack of individual packs of things and its 5.99!
Great service personal and fair prices.
Love this place thx Nest Food and Plant deals
Grocery outlet, bargain market YES to find the most random stuff, just not your everyday shop.
This store is a little crowded as is its parking lot but that attests to its popularity in an urban setting. It definitely serves a purpose here but during a pandemic it is tricky to navigate. The employees are nice and the food, wine, and produce are great. I come for the deals which can be really excellent!
Great prices, inconsistent stock, and too much unhealthy frozen food in an already small freezer section.
Great location. Visiting the area. Quick place to get some last minute things.
Inventory changes frequeny. You can never be sure what is available. Good deals on organic produce and meats although quality is often not impressive.. Aisles do not allow sufficient social distancing. Checkout is reasonably fast, although short waits are typical. Staff is generally friendly and helpful.
Lot of good deals...
They are selling expired goods. Beware!!!!! Mgt is advised to remove from the shelves any product or items already expired please!!!!!!_
Prices decent, some items very good.Dont come here if you are offended by rude workers. Some will even yell at you and openly roll their eyes at you. Managers dont care and will probably condone such rudeness. Social distancing? No such thing. Not all workers are rude, but some are consistently rude and have no problems practicing to be professionally rude. Their attitude will be, if you dont like it, there are other markets out there. True, how true. Theres a woman in her late 50s, with short blonde hair, super slow at register, will openly scold customers, and coworkers all know she does it.
Very nice staff but typical GO, never know what staples will be missing but also what weird and wonderful goodies you will find.
Always have great deals and help to keep food from going to waste. Win win.
Run in. Grab milk. Run out. Great for quick trips or weekly runs. Great deals. Fantastic Wine deals. Go there.
Now make a line but it not that long I think it because now more people are shopping there. I like the control they have now marking sure there is safe with long distance there inside the store.
Great select and prices. Some employees a bit rude, but my cashier was wonderful and engaging. Reminded me of the old days when customer service was top of the line.
Love this store! Lots of organic grocery for reasonable price. Friendly staff.
Parking wasnt great but not terrible either, friendly staff, good amount of variety in every department. Incredible prices compared to other grocery stores.
They have the best staff in the world
I enjoy shopping at the Grocery Outlet. Always something new and very responsibly priced. I particularly like the cheeses.
The name says it all. Not a fancy place to shop but nevertheless, a good place to find basic staples. Plus it has a good selection of organic products, produce, some household goods, paper & laundry products. Frozen foods such as shrimp & pizzas & the like are also found here. Theres also a good selection of wine & beer.
My friend likes this store
Its an interesting place. They have what they have at great prices. But dont expect a wide variety of brands or every breakfast cereal under the sun. Its not that kind of place.
Always good. Dont have EVERYTHING I need, but I treat myself to items I would never splurge on since they are so reasonably priced
Crowded but content...
It used to be great but I’m not sure what happened, maybe new owners? Anyway I’ve tried going there so many times and even had several positive experiences but take my advice, until something changes, stay away. My last visit included a store employee attacking my verbally then almost with a broom. Poor folks = Poor waysAnyway I contacted the owners and Grocery outlets but they don’t care they’re making money!!
If you understand the premise, GO is the best. Shop with an open mind; plan or replan menus as the deals dictate. GREAT wine prices and selection.
I really like this store. It reminds me of Trader Joes back in the late 70s early 80s. Food that fits all kinds of desire. The prices are great too. If you find something you like, better go right back and stock up. Inventory turns over fast, and they may get a similar - but not the same - item.
Bargain market is no more; prices are way up. Weve left the store a dozen times now with nothing purchased. Staff are nice and helpful, but it seems corporate managers or private equity has taken over Grocery Outlet, standardized it across all its stores with identical higher prices, selection of goods, and layout which has greatly hurt the individualized, community nature of the store which we had enjoyed.
Good store with tiny parking lot and irregular selection of basics. Watch that the prices are accurate. Sometimes, too, the cashier will forget to scan a quick-sale tag. If you forget to check your receipt, they wont do anything unless you bring your items back to the store. Decent alcohol and frozen-section selection and many nongrocery items. No fresh bread and generally no fresh fish. They carry some specialty or harder to find items but not certain other ordinary things. The store can be busy at any random time, seemingly, and it does so fairly often, which may be why they restock so often. This blocks the already narrow aisles. But this is the price of convenience for the area. Friendly staff.
Nice discount grocery place that sells cool housewares, etc.
They had what I needed!
Clean store, great prices. Parking can be hard to find.
Wonderful deals and selections. I go to the larger store on Bayshore. Better deals then Safeway or Foods Co, way better.
I like it a lot: good for dairy and seasonal fruits. You have to really pay attention to the expiration dates though About meat, I only buy the ones vacuum sealed. I love all the snacks, beauty products and LOVE the selection of wines! The people who work there really rock, they are polite and super helpful
Great Prices great service
Cheap food, good selection, excellent staff
So good price.
Checkout is a little unorganized for my liking. Its definitely a what you see is what you get type of store.
It was very crowded and people were not socially distancing. Great spirits selection.
I hardly come here looking for specific item I need, but mainly to find unexpectedly unusual items you dont find in many other large grocery chains. At this particular location, I often find plenty of specialty items sold at places like Whole Foods and Rainbow Grocery, but at nearly half the price. Its definitely a place for opportunistic shoppers!
Free Parking via on site lot. In and out in >15 minutes for pit stop en route to work
Good prices. Friendly people that work at the store on Geary. Raymond one of the cashiers is really a nice person. Enjoy chatting with him when I am purchasing my items.
This place is well worth the trip to outer Richmond. Best prices good selection,,,,,becoming a go to place for me to stock up.
Never ever disappointed of my shopping every time. Staff are super friendly and very patience. I appreciate of their smiling faces. They really made my nights!
Thought Id check this one out to see if they are as comparable to the other Grocery Outlet Bargain Markets in the city. It seems surprisingly small for the area it serves. Aisles are a little too close together in places. Encountered a couple of traffic jams during my stroll through, but everyone was nice about it, as we worked our way through. Good selection of meats. Their items are a little more higher priced that I thought they would be. All-in-all, I didnt save that much by going there. But, the store is very clean and staff is very courteous. Probably wont plan another trip so far out in the Avenues for groceries, but if you live out that far, then you will pay just as much coming closer into the city to Safeway or Target Grocery. Nice little jaunt into the Avenues since I dont get out there that often.
Great wine and beer collection and household staff but no sea food and grains Great Deals on Organic Foods, Produce, Herbs, Supplements & Beverages The selection, the prices and the employees/owners are awesome.
The cashiers are the nicest and most personable Ive encountered so far at grocery stores. They dont seem like they hate their jobs. But the store overall, dont go in with a grocery list expecting to get everything. I go in with an idea of what I want to make, and find things similar. Im open to getting interesting items, but I also dont have high hopes to ever see it again. Overall I like casually shopping there and finding off beat items. But I cant be sure itll have all of what I need. I did stock a 30 person picnic pretty well though. I also think their craft beer selection is pretty good.
Love grocery outlet!
The price is good
Surprising that they’re able to pack so many everyday necessities into a store this size with the lack of space in San Francisco. Great friendly staff. The prices are some of the cheapest around and the quality of products is top of the line. Also great selection
