My granddaughter loved her experience here! The employee stuffing, sowing, bringing to life her bear was amazing at her job! Could tell she enjoyed making kids laugh and creating their new friend. Would definitely go again when granddaughter visits

Wow...I have to say that the Build a Bear workshop located at Pier 39 in San Francisco was excellent. The staff are super friendly and cater to the children. Fir the amount of money you spend, you DO want your child to feel special and to create a memorable experience.I feel that the staff did that today !Thanks go out to that particular store🥰Christine Gambill/ Debi Oxford

It was really nice. My love and myself were celebrating our wedding anniversary by creating a bear. We had a wonderful time. The employees were awesome.

Build a bear is not for you individuals are are on a budget or just not loving your child/cousins enough 😂 The selection of choices of stuff animals are nearly endless. Not only are the children lure to the selection of choices but the endless add on that comes with their choice. From clothing to sunglasses to shoes to card to voice chips. Yeah, there is no way you are going into this bear shop with just a naked bear. The finished bear needs to go home in a fancy box or else you are doing it wrong. Regardless this build a bear work shop is worth the trouble especially if you are in trouble or really just want to brighten your child up. That and the endless options of activities that is around this place. You really can not go wrong with this place. You do however need to plan your time a bit as parking can be an issue only if you are frugal. No point in coming to this place and tearing up about $15 dollar parking. The convenience is worth the extra dollar.

Went during the Pay Your Age day, and unlike other locations around the world that had to close off the line due to massive lines, this location had a short line and was still open to anyone who wanted a new little friend. The employees that day and other days Ive stopped by were very helpful, even with all the people who came in and kept coming in. Plenty of options too, so if you want more plush and accessory variety, including some San Francisco exclusive items like a SF Giants bear or your own sea lion like the ones outside, this is the BaB Workshop for you!

My kids found the animal crossing stuffed animals here. Im broke now, but they are happy. Great find.

Been bringing all my little humans here for years!! This one time the girls were extremely rude. Attitude left and right, not just with me but with other guests as well. During times like these they need to treat people like people. Customer service is everything!!

My experience at this location was disheartening today. After a long day of trying to help my younger cousin get adjusted to her move to California from Texas, I wanted to leave her with a build a bear with audio from me... just something to help remind her of home. We finally arrived to this location at 3:30pm and was turned away by the store. Their website (and the sign on the window) said they closed at 6, but the woman consistently said they were closing at 5. I find this really upsetting because I know everyone has their reasons for going to Build-A-Bear but this meant a lot to my family and I. Also, its the only location in San Francisco and I was flying back to TX shortly afterwards. This really put a dent in our experience.

Probably my favorite build a bear! Great staff. The lady who was stuffing animals today was kind and made sure our stuffies were super soft instead of the usual stiff. Very happy!

Put us on a waitlist and never called. Very disappointed ☹️

The lady that worked on October 1st was horrible. She was rude and extremely short with her answers. She told us to come back in 20 minutes after 20 minutes she said it has not been 40 minutes so we should go away. She said 20 not 40 first of all. She gave several dirty t looks and rolled her eyes. The guy that worked there knew nothing and kept referring to her. Also he was just sitting the whole time.

Went in to shop around, and the staff there were so friendly and helpful. Pam really catered to our needs and helped us have a wonderful build a bear experience. The kids loved it!

I had never seen a store similar to this one in a toy store. You can buy the bear you want and fill it to your liking. You can also name it and buy some clothing to wear it. It has very good acceptance and is not particularly expensive. Very funny.

Very good attention, place and merchandise.It is literally a fashion store for stuffed animals. There is everything from clothes to accessories all for stuffed animals.In addition to that you can choose the stuffed animal of your favorite personalities, put a heart full of desires and fill it in order to give it “life” and then take it shopping for the rest of the gondolas.It is not cheap, but certainly a magical place.
