An amazing store with great products and charm. Fantastic, friendly, incredibly helpful and thoughtful customer service. Left the store feeling like I had found the perfect gift. Can’t wait to come back again soon
Love love love!!
I come to this shop once a year to add to my collection. Beautifully arranged!
Unique styles of incredibly beautiful Italian majolica here. Not cheap stuff youd find elsewhere. The staff and owners know about each artist and the regional style of their work. Very friendly and attentive on a busy weekend day. If I had a nice place to show it off, Id buy lots of it!
Gorgeous Italian pottery. Wonderful old fashion store with gracious owners. The $15 plates with Mia moglie ha sempre ragione (my wife is always right) make great trinkets tucked in wedding / anniversary presents.
A beautiful place to visit, whether you gaze or buy.
A lil glimpse of Italy! Go visit our great clients
My new source for MOD Ricco & other Italian treasures.
Ive only lived in SF for 42 years, unlike my husband who is a 4th generation San Franciscan, but in my humble opinion, Biordis is by far the best shopping experience in the City. If you love beauty, color, patterns, textures...please treat your eyes and spirit to the adventure of spending some time in this tiny jewel of a shop. Here youll find ceramics made in the small Italian towns & cities which are famous for creating vibrant, exciting art objects and functional ceramic pieces. Biordis carries traditional and contemporary patterns and offers everything from place settings, bowls & butter dishes to wall hangings, vases, statues etc. Best of all, its tucked into a corner on Columbus St, and when you come here, you can also indulge in a stroll through Washington Square, and pick up an espresso & Italian pastry at a near-by cafe--or take home some great Italian staples like ravioli, aged parmesan or deli meats from Molinaris, just across the street. Of course, parking in North Beach is impossible but I always find a spot at the public lot on Vallejo--near the Police Station. The only serious drawback regarding Biordis: their beautiful pieces are very expensive. Over the years Ive been able to purchase a number of gorgeous items...in fact, last week I got 2 wonderful vases--but for every time Ive bought something, Ive gone in multiple times and just feasted on the heavenly beauty of the objects without buying anything at all. (Before last week, I hadnt bought anything there in about 7 years--but Ive dropped in scores of times.) And the Biordi staff are always very warm and welcoming whether I buy anything or not. They seem to take real pleasure in the delight their customers experience just looking at their items. Also, they usually have a sale and/or as is shelf which helps a bit. Happy viewing and/or shopping to all.
