I used to buy gift baskets from a large company, but decided to support local business this time and regretted it. The ordering process went relatively smooth online and the delivery was scheduled on to a certain day. On the next day after supposed delivery I followed up via email with the contact listed on the website (Amal) to confirm delivery and he confirmed that it was delivered.A few days passed by and I needed to have a call with the partner that I sent the gift basket to, and randomly I also asked how did they like the gift basket that I sent. As a response I was shocked to hear that it was never delivered!Amal straight lied to me about the delivery status. When i called, they said that it was still with the delivery guy roaming in his car all around the city for 5 days?! Chocolates all melting in the sun? just great.They fixed their mistake and delivered it after the major embarrassment on their end, but it left a very bad aftertaste as you can imagine.Even though I find it distasteful to ask a gift recipient if they received it, I felt I should and Im glad I did!
