Another of the Untold Stories of the San Francisco Food scene. When you think of French Pastry in San Francisco, you think of La Marais on Chestnut Street. Chestnut Street in San Francisco is like Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. You know what to expect. La Marais is owned an operated by a french family who know how to create french pastries on a large scale that draw patrons from all over, again and again. Did you know that theres another french family that up until January of this year, owned and operated a fabulous french pastry outlet? They lost their lease to their main location in January. Where can you still find their pastries? The Loving Cup. How does the quality of the Loving Cup french pastries stack up against La Marais? As a fan of both, I suggest you find out for yourselves. Hint. +++.

Have come here 4-5 times and experimented with different flavor combinations. Cool to see them make your own yogurt. Ordering the fruit seems OP because it makes your frozen yogurt significantly larger..Some of our favorites:Thin mint (oreo, thin mints, vanilla base)Strawberry, blueberry, and bananaSometimes the fruits aren’t ripe, which makes the flavors weird (e.g., would not recommend unripe banana), but that has only happened to us once

I love Loving Cup! They have amazing ice cream macaroons and I always get two when I go. :) I recently tried their Thai Tea ice cream macaroon and it was so good! I am so hooked. Their red velvet one is awesome as well. I tried their actual food (Turkey BLTC) and it was good too! Its a bit on the pricey side, so I only go once in a while. The reason I didnt give this place 5 stars is because of the parking. It is awful trying to find parking spaces.

Best frozen yogurt Ive ever had. The Salty Dog and Cinnamon Crunch are the best! They mix the flavors for you here, so it is not like other froyo shops where you fill your own cup and add your own toppings. They mix in the toppings to a vanilla or chocolate base using their own mixing machine.

I ordered 2 cups at this location and my friend was asking the cashier several questions about whats in the froyo or which is better/whats recommended. But the cashier seemed to be having a bad day that day, was getting annoyed at her questions. I guess brushed aside, we received our cups and the other worker also seemed annoyed to be serving any customer. Kind of just plopped our cups on the counter without saying anything. Another thing reason Im removing a star is, they kind of skimped the froyo. There was a lot of empty space, and seemed to just carelessly fill up the cup.

I love the uniqueness of this rice pudding shop. The base pudding has a great taste to it and you can customize your order just like you would a sundae or froyo order. Mix and match flavors to your hearts content. Ive been told that I make interesting choices by friends. I dont think it was meant as a compliment, but Ill take it as one :)This spot is a great dessert place to hit up after enjoying dinner in one of the many fine restaurants in the area.

Simple yet satisfying may be the appropriate expression to describe this new frozen yogurt and rice pudding shop. By allowing you to blend your favorite toppings into the froyo, you cant go wrong (or if you do, its your fault). My only change would be that they not serve their rice pudding out of Tupperware, but on my second visit I found that these had changed to nice serving dishes. This is the spot to go to if youve already seen ice cream freeze with liquid nitrogen.

Loving Cup me not! Hesitant on giving it 3 stars...it should be in-between 2-3 stars. Their goods here are just way too sweet. They have cute and good ideas like cupcakes in ice-cream cones but the taste is too rich and not exquisite enough for my taste buds. Its overly hyped and not that special in my opinion. But if youre really curious and in need of a sugar high, Id tell you to to try it if youre in the neighborhood. :)

Im not usually a sweets person (I prefer my meat!) but I find myself craving Loving Cup from time to time.Theyre known for their rice pudding, but I decided to get their blended yogurt instead. You get to pick your flavors and toppings (fruit, oatmeal, gummy bears, chocolate, lots of choices!) and then they pour everything in a machine and blend it all together. It was very yummy. I was able to try a little of their rice pudding also and I DEFINITELY want to get that next time I go.Now Im always down for dessert as long as its Loving Cup!

What is a 1st graders idea of the ultimate dessert? Ice cream! I brought both of my 1st graders to Loving Cup, we truly enjoyed the salted caramel macaroon ice cream sandwich, the mint chocolate chip and chocolate ice creams, the ooey gooey cookie and snickerdoodle. Everything is fresh! You can taste the ingredients as theyre supposed to taste, not that preserved goo served at other parlors.P.S. - The ice cream sandwiches are hard, because they are FROZEN. Duh. Like any other frozen item, it quickly starts to become UN-frozen soon after being removed from the FREEZER. Duh-huh.

A farce of a nice looking cutesy store that has nothing else to offer - the yogurt was sub-par, even barely edible (Cookie Monster). Much too sweet without enough flavor to back it up. Prices are hiked up just because they can, and the people serving were not willing at all to go the extra mile for customers - so one wonders what exactly youre paying 7$ for. Definitely skip this place - nothing but a cute storefront with no good to offer otherwise.

I live less than ten minutes from here and this review is based on most recent visit. Walked in and clerk didnt say a word. I asked about seasonal flavors, he shook his head again not a word out from his mouth. By this time Im thinking he may be deaf. Doubt it because he spoke to a group that walk after me.
