Went here to pick up treats to bring to work and was so presently surprised! The Chinese couple running the store seemed very kind and hard working. The donuts were still warm when I got them at 8am. I picked out 3 huge glazed/sugar/chocolate covered donuts, two small cake donuts with toppings, and an almond croissant.The glazed and sugar covered yeast donuts were by far the winners. They were impossibly soft and fluffy, perfect amount of sweetness, and perhaps a bit oily but somehow in an enjoyable way. They are donuts after all, which by definition is dough fried in oil.Cake donut was very soft and cakey inside and almost crispy outside with a thick coating. Almond croissant was decent, but wouldn’t get it again.Still giving this place 5 stars because the big donuts were sooo good and all that was $7.25 which is an absolute steal.

I love that everything is super fresh here. I love the baked and steamed pork buns. The 50 cent fresh rolls are good for sandwiches.

Unassuming shop with some very nice pastries and inexpensive too. I tried the chocolate croissant and almond cake. Both were quite good and although I wouldnt say top tier (which would be on par with Parisian pastries) they were highly enjoyable, especially with the coffee that I purchased along with them!

Cheap yummy things to eat when you are poor and in a hurry. I love chinese bakeries.

I love this donut/pastry shop! Its owned by a local couple who have probably owned it for the longest time. I think they get in at like 5am every morning to bake their fresh goods. All of the fresh baked donuts are delicious (only $1 each). Definitely try the Almond Butter Croissant (best almond croissant Ive had). They have a lot of locals eating there. Good coffee. I think their bread rolls are popular too.

Cool place to meet and catch up with coworkers. the staff was very helpful and observant. it has a nice interior. i can see why they have so many good reviews.

The donuts are amazing. They have the melt in your mouth quality that means you can eat four of them and only feel the sugar sickness afterwards, not as they are going down. They are also very reasonably priced ($1 for a normal frosted donut going up to about $1.75 for a long john or large twist donut).

On top of the egg tart, donut - awesome pound cake, soft moist and not too sweet, for under $2. Cozy little shop.

The staff are so nice and i love there vanilla glazed sprinkled donuts and there vanilla coffee is wonderful too my favorite donut shop to grab something good on the go! I grew up just coming into this donut shop and its still in business and i love it. And they have yummy Chinese desserts too😊.

I actually cant speak to the doughnuts here, but theres a decent selection of Chinese pastries (pineapple bun, that fluffy sponge cake, pork bun, etc.) that you wont necessarily go out of your way for but are definitely welcome if you live close by and want a good option!To an earlier comment about them leaving hot dogs out all day - thats the Chinese pastry way for you! Things are left out all day (cream-filled things, too) in most bakeries and everyones fine. Seriously.

I lived down the street from here with my 4 year old during the first wave of Mission gentrification in the 90s. We used to stop by this place for treats on the way home from his preschool. Now weve been priced out of our old place and the neighborhood is polluted to near-saturation with boutique everything, but THIS place has not changed one BIT (well, they did get a new price list to hang over the counter...). They STILL serve the best buttermilk doughnuts in the city BAR NONE, and the freshest, yummiest rolls.
