They have some cute Japanese kitchen and houseware as well as an aisle dedicated to beauty. This is not a supermarket but the last aisle of snacks is nice and you can stumble across some tasty finds at great prices. We got this corn soup flavored triangle snack that we’d never found at other Korean and Japanese grocery stores!

A message posted at the door states: “We are closing on March 8th, 2020. Thank for spent the last 20 years with us. Thank you very much.” Looks like they might have closed permanently, surprisingly before the San Francisco Covid-19 stay-home order that began March 16, 2020. It’s sad to see them closed. They have a lot of nice stuffs that were made in Japan, often times better quality than the other similar type of store.

My daughters love the cute folders and other school supplies that are available here. There are three of these stores in the Japan town mall but they all have different things for sale. For those of you who use cash, note that they do not accept bills larger than $20.

Ive always loved this store. Cute, cheap and organized compared to last year. I can still get the things that I need without them being overpriced. I like the beauty products and the cute little pens & pencils that they have. Not to mention the cashiers are always friendly. This will always be my number one stop when i am in J-Town

Never miss a stop by this store. They have a great selection of Japanese sweets, and pastries, in addition to sundries and beauty products. The staff is very nice, and helpful.

While the downstairs Daiso takes more of my money, I always try to find time to also duck into Ichiban Kan as they have some cool stuff themselves. Favorite item is the frequently out of stock, Bath Ball w/toy inside. Your kids will like these.

This store is very similar to daiso with similar prices and items. I did find some things like soup spoons to be cheaper here. While other items were cheaper at daiso. They also have a few items that I have not seen at daiso. Overall a nice store filled with good home items at a reasonable prices.

Basically an upscale daiso. They sell a lot of high quality products cheaply here, but the selection is more limited and the prices higher than the daiso shop downstairs. I recommend checking them both out, and each will take a slice of your wallet.

Inexpensive Japanese school supplies and houseware. A little more expensive than nearby (and more popular) Daiso, but quality is better as well.

Great little shopping place at the edge of Japan Town. My favorite stuff to buy is the Pocky, ramen and matcha Kit Kats. I also found some tonkatsu broth base in a large bottle. Gonna make my own ramen at home.

In terms of selection, Daiso is probably better, but I like how bright and organized Ichibankan is. Theres also a smaller crowd there most of the time, so theres more room to look around. You can find everything there!

High end version of Daiso. Can easily spend 30 mins here. Beauty, housewares, tablewares, bags, snacks, Office supplies, storage containers, and kawaii stuff are just the many things found here.Things use to cost around a $1 to $1.50, but not anymore. Cleaner, brighter (especially during the winter months) and not so frenetic compare to the chaos of Daiso downstairs. While Ichiban Kans selection is not so vast, the quality is more high end and expensive. Around over $2 - $7/each. If you spend over $10 they have a rewards card program. I like to stock up on their Korean beauty Collagen facial masks. 15 mins can do wonders for your skin! They also carry weird only the Japanese would think of products such as kawaii knitted socks for the legs of your tables and chairs with cat faces.

This place is between dollar store and department store. Not as good as Daiso but still really good. They have a lot of snacks that Daiso does not carry.

This place is the slightly more expensive/higher end version Daiso which is located below. They do carry different items compared to Daiso and because of its location on the street level I think most people shop here first.Heres what I bought:- Azuki Pocky special edition $3.50ish- 2 Tom Yum Pocky $1.00/ea.- Neko massaging stick $2.39- 2 Stickers $1.89/ea.- Panda Cookies $2- Madeline Cookies $2In total I spent around $15 :)

Is it because you used to be 100 years old? Everyone goes to Daiso, but there are things that are only here. Its cheaper than Daiso when the sale is $1! (Laughs) Heres the plate inside the microwave (it comes with). Lets tell the people who broke it.
