This little spot was a delight to eat from! Their bagels and food are made freshly. The item that really blew me away and I highly recommend is the red velvet milkshake. They use actual chunks of red velvet cake inside the shake. Not a big store so would recommend to take the food to go.

Very beautiful coffee shop and sandwiches restaurants. They will give you super huge sandwiches if you order sandwiches. And they are pretty good. I havent tried others. But it should be good i think. And ther are some tables for customers. You can enjoy brunch in there. Very good atmosphere. I will go back there tomorrow!

So good. Sandwiches are big and not from 3 times the amount of lettuce, they pack in the actual ingredients that the customer is choosing the sandwich for. The sandwiches are the basic traditional type creatively improved to be, at least in my case, just what I wanted.Their tuna sandwich has bacon and avocado, because you know you wanted that as well (OK maybe you dont, I sure did it was epic!). Basic house coffee was very good and the Nutella flavored latte was awesome.Only bad part, I stopped by after 4pm and they were closed until the next day, I was so sad :(

Time: 12:02pm/54°F partly cloudyPurpose: After Cherylynn N (yelper) message me about Milkbean. I was dumbfounded, but I didnt question her. I know shes straight forward no BSing around when it comes to food/drinks. You better believe it! Thx Cherylynn!Ambiance: Milkbean is a scant 20+ seater cafe located near the outskirts of Tendernob. Theres loose chairs or back against wall bench seating with lumbar support. There are also numerous AC outlets mounted right below for recharging gadgets. For people watching is best to grab a counter seater facing Post st (some scenes may be graphic), youve been warned. Front counter is basically a cut-out wall with a touch of honeycomb facade and handwritten paper scroll menus. A flush mounted pastry case and POS system along with tip jar is all there is. Rest of place is just a out of commission open-air fridge, fire extinguisher, CCTV, orbital light shade, and a circular mirror. Theres no television or music yet, as youll have to provide your own.Staff: The staff are late 20s to mid 30ish with friendly smiles all around. Greeted me within seconds of entering. I decided since theyre new, I wont approached them yet. BOH workers kept to themselves had no interactions with them. The guy in the front handled drinks and payments. He was cool and humble show efficiency at what he do. Everyone got along with each other.Cleanliness: Grade A, see nothing out of the ordinary. Self-service utensil station is fully stock and well kept. Plastic tubs on utility cart are clear and color coded trash cans are provided for your convenience. Only thing that bothered me here, is the uncovered sugar jars (flu season).Eats/Drinks: Wilmer sando $8.50 was better than average, as Im comparing to more well-known establish places. I went ahead with dutch roll as bread of choice. The roll in general was just your average roll that all sando places source it from. When you eat enough sandwich, youll know what I mean. Now, this sando is well made with all contents proportion and balance out evenly. Meat was packed in tightly covering every inch of roll and not protruding or overlapping. Mayo/mustard spread evenly on each side provide just enough moisture for easy consuming. Fire roasted peppers really put a mellow taste especially the small flecks of charred skin. Washing it all down with latte made with skim milk. Latte could be stronger, but will do for the type of place it is. Satisfactory and will return for milkshake and homemade pastries and thats if I have time on my way to work.Main Features: Milkbean crafted subs and home-made pastries.Products/Services: Crafted sandwiches, milkshakes, pastries, cookies, cake loafs, Kettle chips, espresso drinks, drip coffee, fancysips, assorted bottle/can beverages. Soy and almond milk available, gluten free bread, vegetarian friendly, takes plastic, no Wi-Fi (soon), Five Star rewards program.Punch Lines: Family run, full staff, $9 or under sando (extra for meat/cheese), AC outlet, budget-watchers, calm vibe, laid back, cant go wrong, home-made pastries, daily delivered bread/rolls, out of the ordinary flavored sips, hefty sando.Tradeoffs: Sando are price lower lower than nearby competition for the interest of patrons, but milkshake (one size only) at $5.50 will get you back. Either way, youre looking at $12.50+ or more for sando/shake with no sides. That concludes why theres no combo deal being offered (separate purchases) are more profitable.Final Thoughts: Ive never heard of milkbean or know whats the meaning behind it. Closest thing that comes to mind is soybean milk. Looking at my notes nothing indicate milkbean was opening up or register with city of SF as of yet. Students would find this place somewhat appealing with a nine bucks or lower menu who can argue right? Overall, not a bad place to come during the day for some down time and grab a bite while at it.
