There are two main reasons why I am giving a 2 star to this place.1. The hostess is very inconsiderate. She made us sit under the sun without a shade after being 15 mins late from our reservation. It was a low table and could not enjoy at all with my dog being very active with the food being accessible in a low table2. The prices are crazy. They gave 16 thin slices of fruit for $10. This is a different level of price gorging in the bay...This is a large detour anyhow and you can skip this place for many other much better ones in the city or in the east bay.
A nice surprise on Treasure Island, a place that has few restaurants. I love the atmosphere, the interior and exterior hanging out areas and fire pit. I would love to hang out here and have a glass of wine in the evening. The menu had some interesting items. I enjoyed the flavor combination of the tri-tip sandwich. The meat was very fatty and chewy. Could definitely use better quality meat. But overall a pleasant, unique spot.
The place has great atmosphere, design and food. Unfortunately today the atmosphere was somewhat spoiled by a nearby music festival and by the fact that the restaurant was moving furniture to prepare for a wedding. Our greatest disappointment however was the complete lack of gluten free options for celiacs. Several items on the menu could easily be made gluten free with small changes and I hope the restaurant will consider doing that.
3/7/21: My first visit. My friend suggested this place on a sunday morning. The ambiance of this place is really relaxing, they have 1 firepit seating area.Food:I got the avocado toast with sunny side up egg and it was refreshing. My friend got the french toast and he loved it so much. Btw while we are ordering the server mentioned that all of their stuff are homemade(restaurant made) including their hot sauce and the cream cheeseon top of the french toast. It was one the best cream cheese i tried very silky and creamy.Cleanliness: The place is in prestine condition really neat.Service: Though we visited during covid thing, we got our order quick. Their serverd are really nice and friendly.Really great place for bruch. Please if u are reading this hit the like button or let me know what food did u try so next time I will come to visit i will try it too.Thank you.#supportlocal
This is a Really Nice Restaurant!!! 5 Stars for Food Tastefulness, Service & Atmosphere. Our Server Jr. Was a Phenomenal waiter. He provided excellent service 👏👌. And also helping to pick which menu items were tasty to what our mood for food was that day. He was very knowledgeable about what was inside each dish.He also mentioned that the Owner who creates the menu was a Chef at a Michelin star restaurant. Which explains the quality and flavor of the Food here. They also have a really good vegetarian menu selection! We are definitely coming back Here!Theres another restaurant you have to pass when Exiting the Freeway to go here. But it is definitely worth passing and driving the extra 2 mins it takes to get here. You will love it!
I came alone on one sunny Sunday afternoon and the cafe was still quiet busy. I was simply told to wait but the service I received during this short interaction was rather cold, as if theyve got enough or maybe too many customers and larger groups to take care of. I felt neglected as a solo eater.
Lovely place to sit down a while and grab lunch or a cocktail. The gardens and decor are beautiful. I came on a Saturday afternoon (in winter) and it was not crowded. The service was a little curt and slow, but not detractingly so. If you are looking to book an event space, I included a photo of that area, and also noticed a Playground directly across from the restaurant— good to keep in mind!
Excellent brunch, despite a limited menu. If you are ok with what they are serving, youll likely find fresh food in decent sized portions the taste great. French toast croissant and egg and bacon sandwich were delicious.
I probably go here about twice a week for the past year. Great food, best service. My new favorite spot on the island.
The best chilaquiles I’ve had outside of Jalisco.
The squash gratin was incredible. The fries were perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft in the center. The mussels were really good and prepared with sausage. Ive never seen that before! Very unique food and the prices are incredible.
Staff always cordial. Snooker doodles are the best! Empanadas are yum!
An oasis in the desert kind of experience. A pair of weary cyclists, descended upon treasure Island without a plan for nutritional intake. A quick search revealed Aracely Cafe, as the only place even open on this long holiday weekend. The charm was immediately evident as we were welcomed by the friendly staff. We hadnt realized the kitchen hours literally just ended, but we were invited to stay and eat anyway! We were even allowed extra time to rest while they closed up shop around us.The menu was a delight for the imagination. So many terrific sounding dishes. I went breakfast (see photo), my companion went burger. A+ all around. You must make a trip to this delightful cafe. Only open breakfast and lunch. They also host events!
Really good food and a nice atmosphere in an interesting location. Serviced was a bit slow but Ill definitely be back.
Slow service. Food ok although the spices from Chilaquiles get me sick
This place is a gem! Delicious, well prepared food, great drink selection, and really great prices for the quality of meal you get.I will absolutely be coming back to this place when Im in the bay!
Excellent spot...food was great! Definitely a hidden gem (literally...its on Treasure Island!)
Step into the best kept secret on treasurer island ! Well best kept on this side of the bay because it was obviously a hot spot for those who frequent this amazing cafe often.I had the Eggs Benedict and I couldnt believe how good it was. To my surprise I realized it was on a bed of quinoa instead of a traditional English Muffin. It paired perfectly with the poached egg, hollandaise sauce and bacon. I will definitely be back again !
Nice place to grab some coffee, a snack or drinks. They have expanded the outside patio area now so there’s plenty of space to stretch out and relax on those nice days on the island. They used to have meals too but that was before Covid. This last visit we only came in for coffee and kale shake.
They put an age limit on food, and there menu is very unique (not a good unique)
Whatever you do, do not have your event here! The owner Linda is an absolute horror to work with. She told the photographer he couldnt have a fork because those are for the guests. She made the people from the previous event take my phone telling them it belonged to their party. I put it down for no more than 2 minutes and it was gone. I had to drive all the way to Berkeley to get it back and she didnt want to pay the toll and gas I had to spend. She didnt think anything was her fault no matter how many things she was responsible for messing up. Youre better off reserving a public park.
The food was amazing and the staff was very attentive! Its located in a weird, deserted looking parking lot but it was well worth giving it a chance.
Had a lovely brunch here. Great ambiance and lovely live music.
Ceviche was pretty tasty, no ranch tho.
Such a nice place. Found it while exploring Treasure Island. Grabbed a MateVeza and my boo got a chai latte. Both were great. Will come back for brunch some time. Nice chill vibes
Awesome - off the grid spot. Great food and service, highly recommended
Awesome outdoor seating with live music! Great appetizers and friendly staff!
There was a wait. Asked waitress/hostess to be seated in open area. Refused request, later other people were let in and allowed to sit in two open areas. Lets put it this way, they were not minorites.Food was ok.
Oooh soooo good!Brunch is absolutely fantastic here. Great food and drinks every time. Huge outdoor patio and lots of parking (since it’s on treasure island).Highly recommended for sure!
The worst restaurant that anyone could go to. We went in May 2021. It took almost an hour to get our food. The waiter was so rude, disrespectful and impolite. DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS PLACE. I have every confidence that you will be disappointed.
The patio has walls on three sides, which means that even on the windiest of days, its an EXTREMELY quiet/calm spot on Treasure Island. The food and service are great.
Lovely patio and lovely weather. We ordered the steak, chilaquiles, and the quinoa chicken grain bowl. The meat was highly rated by the person who had it, the other two dishes were decent but not exceptional. Drinks were good and strong (although they accidentally charged me for two drinks and I did not catch it until I left). The star of the outing though was their olive oil cake which was very flavorful, well baked, and herbaceous.
Cute spot for date night or just a quick bite. Highly recommended. The Brussels sprout, drinks, and bread pudding was amazing!
My church Hillsong shares this space
Love this place! Really good croissants (and Im very hard to please in the croissant arena), GREAT eggs benedict. Good coffee too. The outdoor patio is really nice too
Very pretty outdoor seating here. Good is good too, they have vegetarian alternatives for many dishes and our server was very polite and accommodating
Nice location.Good food.Friendly staff.
Went here for brunch and ordered avocado toast. Also tried the croissant french toast. This place is a gem. Open during COVID with out door seating. A little hard to find due to construction going on but it was worth it. Safe to say one of the BEST BRUNCHES Ive had in recent memory. Prices were very affordable as well
Amazing French toast, lovely outdoor setting, friendly service. A gem for sure.
Very nice place to eat
Very tasty food, surprisingly nice atmosphere! Nice spot for brunch or otherwise!
Love it! Pork sliders and local beers. Great place for dinner. Big outside dining and had some chill live music on Saturday night.
Such amazing service! The baristas were so nice and helpful! When they found out that I have a long drive back home, they upgraded my order without even charging me for more!
Ive been here twice now and will be back again. Beautiful garden patio to sit at and dog friendly. Everyone that ordered were happy with their dishes and they were able to make one of their dishes vegan, and offered non dairy milk for their espresso drinks. Great cocktails too! They had live lazz today, which was an added bonus to a beautiful afternoon.
Nice smbiance and creative menu on a gorgeous day.
Our young busboy was great. The rest of the more senior servers were rude and really not good service.Place is nice and food is good, great place apart from service.
A delightful place to have breakfast.
Very pleasant the food was absolutely wonderful and the service was so professional
4 Stars because this establishment has an intimate setting, great food, amd mostly awesome servers. A particular blonde haired waitress brings this place down a star due to her judging attitude and rude demeanor towards patrons. Its a shame. Other than that stop by and eat your hearts out!
Good service, setting, ambiance and food. Definitely going back.
Such a nice place with beautiful outdoor seating, great food and live music!
Simple place to hangout. Lots of parking. Good food, price a little on the expensive side. When done eating you can stop by the scenic route and relax watching the san francisco bay. The building is kinda old though because it maybe included from the old navy yard/facilities but foods are good.
So we entered the restaurant at around 3pm. When we called earlier they said last seating would be at 3:30, and when we got there they said take out only, to which we replied that we called and they told us 3:30. The host reluctantly gave us the table by the corner after mentioning that. On the plus side, the decor was nice and the seats were comfy. After a bit, we got water served in a wine bottle with two empty glasses. Upon pouring out the water, a dead fly comes pouring out. We mentioned this to the server and she brought us a new one but she seemed to brush it off as not a big deal, when cleanliness should be key in this time of pandemic.Next, we had a view of the kitchen. We noticed multiple cooks/back of house staff not wearing masks, wearing masks dangling from their ear, on their chin, or completely taking it off as soon as they “thought” they were out of customer’s sights. This is very unsanitary considering they are the people prepping out food and the fact that they’re just breathing/coughing all over our food with no face covering. There was even one young man who appeared to be an employee who was socializing with his coworkers in view of everyone in the main dining area with no mask over his face, it was tucked below his chin.Next, I found a small bone in what’s supposed to be a boneless roast chicken sandwich. Luckily I’m not a kid, and didn’t choke on it.Upon mentioning all this to the “cashier”, she did nothing to remedy the problems, again just brushing it off like the server. I also saw the cashier take off her mask as she entered the back. She didn’t even offer a discount for the meal. When I asked what are you guys going to do about this situation, she replied with “what do you want me to do about it” in which I replied with “you should make sure staff wears masks at all times”Also, not once did anybody check up on us after seeing our meal.Food was subpar, tastes okay but was really simple, French toast crossiant tasted nothing special, and the roast chicken in the sandwich tasted like it was from the Safeway deli.
Top quality.
Hard to fine but worth the adventure! Pizza Monday and taco Tuesday
Perfect covid experience. Great food, service and very nice outside space.
Nice food, good service, reasonable pricing, great live music. Outdoor space with social distancing
Had a good and healthy lunch with family here on a Sunday afternoon. The place is contemporary and spacious. Food is fresh. Service is a bit spotty.
Great and friendly service beautiful outdoor sitting area clean just a great place to get a bite to eat and relax fresh food made daily fresh pastries made daily great coffee very friendly staff
Fresh and eclectic menu with some surprising but intriguing combos. unique dishes with a pleasant surprise around every corner. the food, the service, the ambiance, the food. everything was great. prices a little high, but not for the whole package. This is a unique dinning experience in an offbeat location. It really i a literal diamond in the rough.
Cute little cafe offering an interesting assortment of food and drink. Went here on a whim while exploring treasure island. The restaurant kept a steady stream of customers and staff was attentive. I had a tasty civiche and an espresso drink. Very impressed and while everything was a bit pricey the experience felt well worth it.
Rotating menu with decent wine selection. Great for meeting friends coming from the East Bay to meet with friends from SF. Awesome ambiance with outdoor patio. Kids menu available. Very family friendly with great service providers.
Cool place. Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff.
Ive been here twice for brunch and both times the food has been excellent. Eggs Benedict and f their Eggs in a hole were both tasty and filling. On a couple of days when the weather was nice it is a pleasure to sit out and dine here. The only draw back seems to be that service is slow even when they are apparently not at all busy. So put your taste buds on slo-mo and dont be in a hurry to pay and dash away.
Creative delicious food.
A great find! European-style menu, with great friendly service in a beautiful setting somewhere on Treasure Island
What a cute little place! Tucked away on Treasure Island but it had a great ambiance. Indoor and outdoor seating with fireplaces at both. Went for brunch and had the breakfast bowl. It was delicious with lots of fresh veggies. They also serve local bottled kombucha. Iced coffee was also delicious.
Amazing food and service
We had lunch here outdoors on a weekday during Covid. Social distancing was in place, the service was quick and courteous, and the food was fantastic. I had the salmon taco and a side of fried brussels sprouts. The outdoor area is protected from the ocean wind by tall hedges.
Excellent food and atmosphere
Great flavorful food in a cozy environment, a little jewel away from the moise. I will definitely come back again.
Went to Treasure Island for the first time and found this little gem. In the midst of all the construction and empty streets. Really cute venue and also looks like people can do weddings and photos here. Delicious food, incredible. Lots of coffee refills with good coffee and they even provide you with a coffee to go container upon leaving, such a nice touch!
