I ordered on the way app, normally it was bigger than today and should be cut into two part. But this time it looks so small! Hope they can keep quality all the time whatever customers ordered on each way. It was not the normal size! Much more smaller than normal so it can’t be cut into two slices. The meat is good and full of fresh veggies! Please keep the size normally and cut into two slices next time! I always give 5 stars but I really disappointed by the size change!

I had the orange flavored cannoli and it was BOMB

Tried the fig gelato last time I was there and it was super yummy!

Mixed feelings because the staff were friendly and engaging, and the cannoli (chocolate coated) was the best one I can recall having eaten, but the gelato (lemon cookie) was not even close to others Ive had. Something was off about the texture, as it was missing a velvety and dense quality, and had a texture closer to that of ice cream

Stopped by randomly for a bite to eat and ordered the veggie sandwich. Quite honestly, it was one of the best damn sandwiches I’ve eaten in my entire life. It was absolutely stacked with fresh flavors and left me thinking about it for hours. 13/10 good.

We spent $35 on here tonight 12/23/2018 @ 9pm, when I was getting 6 pieces of napkins for my kids to use, the bald head guy was giving me a dirty look why am I taking so many napkins, even when we asked for two extra spoons for my kids to use, he again gave us the attitude.Are you kidding me!! How much does it cost you for handling out 6 napkins to customers? How much does it cost you to hand out two extra spoons to customer who just spent $35 at your store??If you are so cheap and not willing to give out these two items, you should not even be in business.No matter how good your Gelato taste, I DONT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO COME TO YOUR STORE!!

Ordered the hazelnut gelato and caprese sandwich. The gelato was amazing, reminded me of the ones I had in Italy! The sandwich was probably best eaten as they served it rather than what I did which was to take it to go (still pretty good and delicious though)!

Dishonest workers...(Skinniest guy there, shorter but taller than the rest, a clear product of past substance use) I tell the guy before the coffee is made I do not chocolate, peanut butter or wassabi, (having regular conversations) he then proceeds to make my coffee with mocha ... His face knowingly guilty making a clear sound under his breath. The guy then proceeds to tell me he didnt make it with mocha just to make the sale . I know naturally everyone likes chocolate, but we could have come up with a better solution than lying just to sell the coffee that I ended up pouring onto the street . BE HONEST, ITS GOOD FOE BUSINESS. (Especially considering I did buy a ceciliano sandwich from them as well). HE KNEW HE COULD HAVE MADE IT AGAIN W OUT MOCHA ! I did come back after walking to get my car, I asked if it was okay to make me another coffee clearly unhappy as I left . They made me small cup of black coffee after LONG thinking if they should make it . They guy who made my coffee before hand hiding in the back.

The best Italian gelato in the world! This shop also has a small but appealing wine collection and other various goods. Excellent customer service. I recommend the coconut gelato!

My favorite sandwiches in the city. Especially the Speciale....mmmmm hot coppa. Super friendly staff, best sandos, and huge selection of delicious gelati. Pro-tip: call ahead for pickup and take to enjoy in Washington Square

My favorite sandwiches are made by Monica @ Alimento! The Vegan and Vegetarian sandwiches are jam packed with veggies and flavor. Large, hearty, and delicious. They dont feel like second class meals without the meat.

Starting to really love this place!We stopped here again before going to Presidio picnic. Had a small pistachio gelato ($3.75) scoop which was amazing!!!We also bought 2 sandwiches to go (toscano and romano $11.95 each). Loved the Toscano more. Sandwiches were big so good to share.Bought more beer and they are very nice to give you some ice with it so it keeps the beer cool. Want to come again to try more of their ice cream flavors. That pistachio though...still on my mind!

Ive lived in North Beach/SF for over a year now and this is by far my favorite place to go. The workers are great, the sandwiches are by far the best Ive had in all of San Francisco and they have an awesome beer/wine/ice cream/coffee selection. Highly recommend going to check this out, feels like youre in Italy!

Yummy sandwiches and cannolis! The Caprese sandwich is my go-to and the chocolate orange cannoli is one of my favorites!! The fruity gelatos are also quite yummy. Definitely recommend if you’re looking to grab a quick bite to eat!

The guy who made my sandwich had a runny nose and it concerned me. I refused to take the sandwich for me and my familys safety and just bought a lighter from their countertop instead.

Loved, loved, loved the gelato...so many flavors and it was just as good or better as any I have ever had in Italy! There were also cannolis available!

Hands down my favorite deli in North Beach. I bring everyone here and it’s always a crowd pleaser. Has great vegan/vegetarian options as well as the standard Italian deli favorites. Also offers lots of niche food/drink items, great desserts, and delicious gelato!

Great sandwiches, pizza, and gelato with a solid beer and wine selection. Prices are a little steep but not outrageous for the location.

Hole in the wall deli with a surprisingly large selection. Fresh sandwiches and the vegan option is delicious.

Magnifico authentic gelato and tiramisu!

Have tried the cardamom and fig gelatos and they taste amazing, such a bomb of flavor but also light weight. Yummy!

This place is amazing. My girlfriend and I stopped here before attending Cobb’s Comedy Club to get a coffee. I got a triple espresso and some blueberry gelato. Absolutely delicious. The best part isn’t the ice cream, but the people! They work their butt off but are super friendly and personable. The owner and I talked for a minute and he seemed like a stand up guy. I also enjoy the true Italian delicatessen vibe. Must stop if you are in San Francisco!

Stopped here for the many flavors of gelato we saw through the window. We were not disappointed. Every flavor we tried was delicious! They have different flavors like cardamom and bourbon. Definitely worth checking out if youre in the area.

The ice cream was fine, but the chocolate bar I bought there was SO old that when I opened it, it was all white and crumbling into pieces. How long did they store that chocolate for? 3-5? 10 years? Very suspicious of this place now.

Mafioso sandwich was good with lots of meat and fresh stuff. Chocolate covered cannoli was also good. Motorcycle metered parking real close.

Awesome deli in the heart of San Francisco. Caprese sandwich is among the best I have ever had. Well stocked with lots of Italian goodies, drinks and candy. Try to grab a small table by the sidewalk to experience dining close to the street.

Great gelato. Super cool staff. And they have lovely seating arrangements in the shade of the trees to relax from walking hilly SF and watch the trolleys come and go, or gaze off at Washington Square. Loved it.

Top notch deli. The gent behind the counter (sorry didnt catch your name) made the most amazing sandwich and great chat too while waiting. Even recommended a delicious beer. Perfect stop for bite to eat before/ after visit to Coit tower. Even had the pleasure of chatting to his Dad. What a great bunch of people and top food!

Superb Gelato and great coffee.We fancied Gelato after dinner in Fishermans Wharf and had spotted this little place while walking through town earlier.We were delighted to find it still open and got the best Gelato weve had outside of Italy.Definitely worth the walk and would recommend to anyone who wants authentic Gelato.This was the perfect way to end a great day in San Francisco

Fantastic sandwiches and great beer selection (Pliny! Cans of Delirium!), but you will pay for the quality. The gelato is fine, though I much prefer Naia across the street.
