Nothing really popped out at me, but great service. I did purchase the flask and shot glasses though.i might have to go again once the season starts maybe they will have more gear.

Went to this store just to find empty racks. The girl at the register told me she didnt know when they would get jackets in stock because, they get em when they get em. OK at least she told me that I could sign up for updates on inventory. Cool, but two years later and no notification on when theyll have the black jackets in stock. The only reason I even remembered these jackets, is because my barber had a bunch of them for sale.. They look identical and @ 60% off.

God only knows how this place stays in business. They cant maintain a meaningful inventory, the manager is...ah...neither the most knowledgeable or helpful. The product is the draw but they cant keep it in stock. It wasnt until the third time I was there that I found something I liked in my size. This business is run like a tax write off. They need major help. But my jacket is great and I love it so I want them to stay in business. The problem was that when I wanted to order two more over the phone to be shipped to friends that are native San Franciscans they wouldnt do it.

Always something to get there. I am moving to North Carolina but will ordering from them on line from now on. It is an awesome store with great staff. I will miss going there in person.😥

Great shop, love the old school original derby jackets. They are worth every penny as they are built to last. And I have never had a problem with any of mine. I have even sold some of my older ones for more than what I paid as they are a iconic Jack in the fashion world with alot of different groups

I went in to the store I asked the girl when they were going to have a jacket since they were out of stock she said two months here we are two months later still no stock & are now saying two more months. Also the girl was very rude in store. NOT A SATISFIED CUSTOMER

Been wearing Derbys my whole life and my dad before me. We used to take the 25 Bryant bus to the Derby factory. This are really good. I am going to tell everyone from the Mission district Derbys are back.

I have been wearing Derby since I was a baby boy. About 41 years now. My first Derby was a traditional style black jacket. My grandfather and father also wore Derby. Its quality and stylish local clothing. I love the Derby store on Haight street. They bought and used an old San Francisco Cable Car to do their interior design at the store. Excellent clothiers. Check them out people.

Caveat: I tried writing this review directly to the store instead of airing my issues here, however, the contact us page on their website is not working.On December 21, 2019 I went to the Derby Store to buy my husband a Derby Jacket for Christmas. I picked one out and upon checking out, the gentleman behind the counter told me that the iPad connected to the Point Of Sale (POS) was not charging, therefore the register was down and I would have to pay cash. Stuff happens. I went across the street to get cash, came back and paid for the jacket. Per his request, I left him my email address so he could send me a receipt once the register issue was resolved. I never received an emailed receipt. I give the jacket to my husband on Christmas and when he put his hand in the left pocket, it was sewn all weird and bunched up and it also had a hole in it. So, a week or so later, we returned to the store and exchanged the coat. He has had this second coat for all of 2.5 weeks and the brand plate inside at the neck has come off, the silver zipper pull has broken and the inside pocket at the cuff part has come unsewn from the jacket. So, once again, my husband goes back to the store to exchange the coat. However, they dont have his size and the woman doesnt believe that we paid cash for it and said that he has had this coat for a long time and has abused it. And, as I mentioned before, I never received an email of the receipt for the first coat or one for the exchanged coat so she wasnt going to exchange the jacket or refund our money. I end up calling her and to explain to her why we dont have a receipt which is the same thing my husband told her and she seems to be more receptive to me. She finally agrees to give us our money back. Thank you. I want to support local businesses whenever I can, but I am concerned with the quality of this product. I have tried to see if these coats are made locally or in the U.S. at least but there is no information about where these coats are made. Two coats in less than a month with issues seems like a cheaply made coat. I hope that we are just the exception to the rule?? Seems likely that we are not.

I’m confused by these reviews. In one, the owner states they get shipments twice a year. Does that mean that when the first shipment sells out, the store shuts down as well as the ability to purchase online (which I’ve tried dozens of times and usually it’s down)? I’ve also been calling to see if the jacket I want is in stock (never has been, however Edith is extremely kind and helpful), and for past several months, even the phone number is out of service. Please provide further detail of how your operation works for the public. Thank you

I made plans to come up to SF during a busy schedule to get a jacket. But I waited a full hour past the official 11:00 opening time and gave up because of my schedule.My time was precious. Its a sloppy business that cannot open on time, which is the worst form of customer service.

Visiting from the east coast. Came here with high expectations and walked into an almost bare bones store. They had barely any inventory. Kids sized and xxl is all they had. Plus the lady sitting behind the counter on her phone did not make me feel very welcome. Sadly this place was a huge disappointment.

I bought my jacket about a year ago. It took some stalking and patiently waiting but as soon as I got the email that you were back in stock I drove down. Got my jacket and was given a free t-shirt as well.
