Yesterday I went to Ghirardelli to buy ice cream around 3pm, I was very impressed with the service from lady staff. She is very great service person. She tried to offer several services to meet our needs as much as possible. I appreciate for providing impressive service.

The ice-cream wasnt really tasty, unfortunately. The whipped cream - was, but ice-cream didnt live up to my expectations. Though the portions were big :)

Ghiradelli Square is an experience of its own, but add some ice cream to it and it’s unbeatable! Would definitely recommend making a trip if you have a sweet tooth.

Ghirardellis is a quintessential stop in San Francisco and its worth the effort to check it out. We always go whenever were in the area. You can find all the famous chocolates for sale and some hard to find flavors as well. Theres a fun gift shop. And, they have a cafe. During tourist season it is crowed. But, the milkshakes, sundae, and coffee are delicious.You can sit a spell and people watch here and take a break from this great walking city.

Nice and friendly service. Located on Market and Montgomery street. Bart station station near by! Awesome sundaes and hot chocolate especially the sea salt hot cocoa. Hot and sweet! This spot is always busy. Great for a short stop if meeting with friends. I noticed thought that the girl handing out free chocolate does not give it to everyone....

Yiu can buy loads of nice chocolate and sit there for a little sweet break. We tried a medium thick strawberry shake with whipped cream. It was top of the line, so delicious. It is very filling so share if you dont have a lot of space left ;). Will be coming back for more! Staff are really nice.

They have an amazing shop, of great size. You will be able to find almost every single flavour the company makes, and you are allowed to mix and match. The prices are honestly not even so high, considering that you are buying the chocolate directly from the company and its a fairly touristic place.

I frequently visit this store, store is nice but bigger one is behind this one. I would suggest grab ice-cream/smoothie and go to garden & sea shore opposite to it and enjoy on nice beaches view. Oh i talked about everything except Chocolates and Ice-creams 😆, it’s fantastic nothing to say 😀. Go and grab one 🍦 🍫.

Waited in the Ghiradelli ice cream shop line for probably 20 minutes & a worker came by with free samples, yumm. Ordered the “Crissy Field: Cookie Bits Sundae” for almost $13 and it was huge! A nearby park sits right by the water, is beautiful, & has benches for relaxing. A great area.

Very delicious and rich drinks and ice cream. We ordered a Mocha, a salt caramel hot chocolate and a Banana salt Caramel milk shake. Everything was very refreshing and incredibly flavorful. The store is always crowded with all the tourists wanting to see the chocolate factory and trying new things. Beware that the restaurant is shared with all stores in the plaza and it is by the brewery and not inside the Ghirardelli store. Besides that, enjoy your treats and h as ve fun IN San Francisco.

Every chocolate lovers dream come true. I especially love their warm brownie sundae. We also had the midnight reverie which is a chocolate lovers delight and the yummy Rocky road sundae.

Great place to stuff your nose with sugar. Chocolate at its max. Very good flavors en quality ice cream. $6-$15 for your ice cream dessert. Service could improve, hence the 4 stars.

Located inside the historic Palace hotel, this Ghirardelli is large with great variety of chocolates, ice creams, and other snacks and beverages and plenty of seating.The customer service is amazing. They do make good coffee too.

THE Place to go for Dessert at Fishermans Wharf!Everything on the menu is a winner! A bit pricey but its totally worth the experience. BTW, smartly so, they have opened two ice cream shops at both the north and south ends of the original restaurant; This review is for the shop on the south side of the factory, street level across from the open green space near the Bay. Ghirardelli Chocolate is our day-after-Christmas special dessert stop every year for the past 6 years. The Oreo shake is divine or you can choose from some chocolatey goodness in a cup with all the toppings your heart desires like in my picture, or hot chocolate with a mound of whipped cream (why bother going if you dont get the whipped cream...I mean really). If you like chocolate, caramel, whipped cream, warm brownies, a dozen different ice cream flavors, and imagination, Ghirardelli Chocolate and Ice Cream shop is for you! Anything your mind can dream of involving ice cream is here, including coffee and ice cream mixed....is your mouth watering yet? Who cares if its winter? Everyone deserves chocolate goodness, rain or shine! Ghirardelli definitely serves up yummy goodness whenever you need it!

Delicious sundaes! If you get their classics they are a bit massive but one smart thing you can do is make a smaller custom sundae with the same flavors, they will happily oblige! Prices are really fair and quality is great.

Great selection of chocolates and sweets.

Of course theres tons of chocolate to pick from, but they also have an extensive ice cream menu. The actual selection of ice cream was slimmer than other ice cream shops, but they make up for it in toppings. I highly recommend getting hot fudge! The store can get crowded though, and dont expect any friendly service from the robot-like staff. Still, this is a great spot to grab some ice cream or souvenirs.

Such good sundaes! I got the one with the brownie. The brownie was to die for, and so is their hot fudge. They give you a free peppermint chocolate when you walk through the door too. I would definitely go back to have another sundae. Get ready to be stuffed though! Its in a good location so you can walk it off by taking a stroll down to the bay and walk along the docks.

I had the Crissy Field, which Im glad I shared with a friend. It was delicious, but, by the time I was halfway through, Id hit my sugar limit. I do wish that the cookie bits were more bite-sized and chewier, but the overall package was amazing.

This place is fine, store employees were all friendly. The chocolate is pretty overpriced, and clearly aimed at tourists, but the ice cream/dessert options are all pretty great and portion sizes are *huge*.

It has often changed my mind from wanting something small to getting a full sundae. You pretty much cant go wrong in terms of what you get because of the quality of the chocolate. The only downside is that its insanely expensive (although you do get a decent amount for what you pay, if you order off the menu).

Ironically, hardly any chocolate in chocolate-strawberry sundae. Ghirardelli picture shows multi-layers, the sundaue you actually get has one layer of each flavor??? Overpriced for what you get.

Walk in and get handed spme chocolate (random square selection). All the Ghirardelli flavors are available as well as some new offerings. Gift bags and boxes galore.We actually stopped in for some ice cream and were pleasantly surprised to find a no-sugar-added vanilla available. As other reviewers have noted, the prices are not for faint of heart. Husband got the brownie sundae and liked it. I felt the ice cream was only so-so and five bucks for a single scoop was steep.Staff was pleasant during our visit.

Had a saddleback sundae which is their regular Sunday but with a warm brownie! Super tasty after walking the wharf! Definitely a must try when youre in the area. Great for a date, hangout or family trip!

Great customer service, was visiting here with my family. The employees go above and beyond although they are not required to. I did not order anything and a brother gave us free drinks on the house. Free chocolate to try when you walk in. Try the hot chocolate, it taste very authentic like how I would expect my grandma to make it. The atmosphere is a nice go-to date and perfect place to take tourists. Lots of options for drinks. Props to Lonnol B for taking care of us and the rest of the staff there.

Chocolate lovers of San Francisico and its visitors come and rejoice! This shop will fulfill your cravings. It is full of wonderful chocolate bars and squares. For the truly adventurous there is even. 97% dark chocolate bar.But to my delight they also have a traditional milkshake and malts counter. Their chocolate malts were smooth and tasty. So tasty that I returned as soon as I was back in town.

This place is awesome! The desserts are HUGE so i recommend sharing them. The chocolates are great. They give samples. I love packing my own box. Its fun like a jigsaw puzzle.

Totally loved the ambiance of this place. Ghirardelli chocolates everywhere. All flavours of chocolates are displayed and sold. Different pack size of chocolates are kept. Ice creams and shakes are also sold here. There is also chocolate sauce with different flavours. The quantity of ice cream is too much and so tasty. A single person cannot finish the entire ice cream. Great service by the staff.

Im not a person who likes sweets or desserts, but this place was simply delicious.

We bought bags of chocolate as a gjve away and we found out that is expires in 7 days so everything will just go to waste.

Must visit if you are a chocolate person - basically only chocolate and Vannila ice cream option. Do not expect anything over this as a dessert. Little overpriced also, I felt. Rating 4 as I am a chocolate person.

That is right~ It is ice-cream time!!!The moment we walked in.... FREE SAMPLE!! Friendly staff standing at the door giving out free sample, what a great way to greet the customers~Love it when we could get assorted flavor of chocolate (our choice) in a bag. They have great sales promotion and that definitely motivate customers (ME) to buy more chocolate!!

I was expecting a little bit more sweetness and a unique taste, considering the prices and the reputation. But overall it is delicious but only if you order the chocolate ice cream flavor, strawberry tastes like anything but strawberry.Delicious but overrated.

A very nice place located in a high-end area. Looks like they are short of staffs and the restroom is out of service by the time I visited. The chocolate is unrivaled, but a little bit too sweet. Good experience, definitely gonna come back for more chocolate!

San Franciscos best in chocolate desserts... Me and my wife recommend splitting a Sunday as theyre so big... 12 bucks is a fair price for downtown SF .... They have us a nice Carmel and chocolate sample...upon entering...

Really nice place to get a quick and big dessert. This location usually isnt very busy and the line usually goes by pretty fast. The ice cream options are really delicious and they have a variety of combinations that everyone can enjoy. If you find yourself in the area, give it a try!

The ambiance in here is wonderful. Organized and clean displays. The restroom was a little messy and did not have paper towels stocked. Getting our ice cream was fast and all of the staff were friendly. I love that this place was open late as well. Definitely get a waffle cone!

Nice atmosphere with a bar area and other seating. I got the drinking chocolate, which was pleasantly bitter but still dessert sweet. It was incredibly rich, almost a whole meal. Not sure Ill be back but reasonably glad I went.

Really craving ice cream? Get the double scoop mocha chip on a chocolate dipped waffle cone. Price is not cheap, but the portion is huge. Flavor is pretty good, service is solid.I highly recommend this business

Had to stop in while in SF, on a friends recommendation. Did not disappoint. Delicious ice cream sundaes, best shared, I suppose. I did not. The Ocean Beach, with its hot fudge and salted caramel, is definitely one to try. Staff were attentive as soon as I came in and quick to prepare and deliver the order.

After coming out of the Embarcadero BART station, we noticed this place for the first time. We were given a chocolate upon entering and saw the variety of chocolates for sale. We asked for the price per square and it was $0.40-$0.70. We sampled a 92% cacao square and it was super bitter. They offer chocolate desserts like sundaes.

Here your get exactly what youll expect and everything comes out just like the pictures in the menu. Now how rare is that? It was still very good ice cream and well made dishes. To top it off the service was great.

Ghirrardelli never disappoints me. The servers are fast, the ice creams and chocolates are yummy. They dole out samples for kids. May be they can have more people cleaning up tables on busy days.

It is great to get an ice cream Sunday or something like that. But the chocolates are pretty expensive in their speciality tins. You are better off grabbing the bulk bags or buying the smaller quantities at CSV or target when it is on sale

This building is one of the oldest location ever build in SF,even the one of the Philippines national heroes stayed in here in the late 1800s..must try the chocolate at the corner they will be giving u free samples to taste..
