Ghirardellis is a quintessential stop in San Francisco and its worth the effort to check it out. We always go whenever were in the area. You can find all the famous chocolates for sale and some hard to find flavors as well. During tourist season it is crowded. But, the milkshakes, sundae, and coffee are delicious.This is a great place to people watch here and take a break from this great walking city.

Bad service at this location and it’s hard to get a spot to eat (sitting or standing), but this is the best sundae I’ve ever had!The fudge is amazing. It’s not overly sweet and the texture is amazing even once cooled by the ice cream. The hot brownie is also very fudgie. There was nothing special about the ice cream, though.

Quiet and clean clean shop with a delicious and unique menu. Fudge brownie are excellent, and the chocolate is awesome. We shared the Lands End and it put us away (happily) for the night.

Best brownie this year. Well worth the hype. The hot chocolate was really nice, sweeter than I expected but not overwhelming. Nice to have some free samples too.

I am giving the 2 stars only because I love the history and chocolate in general. The level of service at this location is very low. You almost feel like youre bothering the people that work there. I had a very poor experience and the company did go out of their way to make it up to me, so thank for that. I work upstairs from this location, but unfortunately I wont be back. I think you should lose the hot chocolate machine, Ive had better hot chocolate from 7/11.

Chocolate ice cream and Ghirardelli hot chocolate fudge sauce aren’t delicious. Ice cream isn’t intense and chocolate sauce is too rich.

I came here for a late night crave last weekend. Its right in the heart of market/financial district, and is always busy given the tourist hub its located at.As with most Ghirardelli locations, they have single squares sprawled in the center of the space and adjust to the formation of a line. All great selections, from classics to seasonals.I came to get the brownie sundae for 12 dollars. They always deliver quality, and while the price point is high youre paying for the experience of a world renowned brand. The staff was friendly and my order was to go and yet the sundae was well constructed for eats on the go and at the hotel.Gotta love Ghirardelli!

Always a great feeling to be out here. Its a pleasant walk /stroll around the entire complex. Try the chocolate shake at the store. Food options are limited. Not so great at the diner. The other kitchen has good pizza options. Not much options with baking chocolate. Nevertheless the smell and the space are pleasing.

If you go near closing, pray you do not get the manager Vanessa to service you. She is rude and does not exhibit great customer service. Being in the hospitality industry, Vanessa should know its the customer’s feelings and viewpoints of the overall experience that will determine the success of any establishment not you clocking out at the end of your shift on time.

Ghriradelli on Market street -beautiful place for end of the day:) I got a coupon Free Sundae ice cream from my friend and come here to try it! Workers are so friendly and smiley! I wanted to try something not so sweet and with dark chocolate and they recommended me Sundae with brownie 🍨😋 and it was really awesome! Its the best Vanilla ice cream and hot brownie, that I tried before! Thanks for advice and good atmosphere!!:)

Staff was service oriented when I ask about the price of the new holiday pack. He immediately offer me a sample to try out. So yeah I was satisfy with the taste and brought it.

My kids got ice cream cones and they loved it. The service was excellent and very friendly. We also got free chocolate samples while looking at menu, deciding what to order. Will come here again.

Just experienced the absolute worst and disrespectful service from the Supervisor on site Vanesa. She started to close the gate at 7:57pm and I was walking to the counter. I got in line and she stated that they were closed. I walked away and looked at my watch to see it was only 7:57 and asked what timee does the store close in which she said 8pm. I informed her it was not 8 yet and then said “can I just ask you a business question, logistically wouldn’t it make sense to cut the line off at 8pm since there were about 6 other people in the line and not at 7:57pm” Her response did not make sense and all she kept saying was they were still going to be making orders past 8pm. I repeated my question a few times because she wasn’t getting what I was asking and obviously she felt threatened by an educated question and dialogue (or maybe a 5’9” black woman, who knows) because she actually threatened to call security on me if I didn’t get out of the line and leave in which I responded that I’m not even IN the line and I’m trying to have a business dialogue with her. Needless to say I told her she actually heightened the situation by actually threatening to call security on me which wasn’t even called for and I asked her name and she told me Vanesa and I said ok I will be writing a review in which she responded “whatever, write your review!” Way to go Ghirardelli!! Bravo! In my 40 years of living I have NEVER encountered someone so challenged at a logistical question to the point where I am about to be arrested over ice cream. Guess who probably will never purchase anything from Ghiradelli again...on to other platforms to spread the news. #gettingicecreamwhileblack? #threatened #amazing

I ordered a chocolate milkshake and once the waitress got me the order I was confused why the color of the milkshake was light brown, but I had some sips and then I realized that on the receipt had a cookie’n cream milkshake and not chocolate. So I called the waitress which was unfriendly, and I told her that I ordered a chocolate milkshake and this is cookie’n cream. So she took the receipt and said in an unfriendly way, that it’s not chocolate you ordered this! I explained to her that it says the wrong flavor and that I am sure I ordered chocolate but maybe the cashier got it wrong! So she took it from me and left, and when she came back she was so mad and upset and placed the cup and then smashed the tissue and straw on the table with the worse attitude!!! Is this called customer service?!?

Excellent service but Dont know why people give their sundaes good reviews? Almost no hot fudge, boring vanilla ice cream. Sundae at McDonalds would be similar if not better.

Cookie dough ice cream in the smallest cup is my regular. But I see people walk away from this mini shop with the insane looking ice cream treats from the Painted Laidies to the Crissy Feild, dang do I forget to get those. The service is quick, the staff does look tired, but the results of food are past satisfaction. A San Francisco treat.

This shop is in the lower level of the Westfield Centre, but conveniently located for folks entering from the BART station. Relatively quick, and they offer a free chocolate piece (no purchase necessary)

We are a fan of the Ghirardelli Ice Cream pallor at Ghirardelli Square. Well, they have an ice shop/chocolate shop in the basement of the Westfield Shopping Center. Its off to the side of the food court. They offer the same great menu of sundays and ice cream treats. This time we tried the pineapple sunday which had pieces of ginger candy. There was a bit too much ginger candy and it became more spicy than sweet.The staff was really nice about my daughters nut allergies, while she cant consume them, its ok if its near other items. They made sure to ask twice because they didnt want her to get sick.Awesome, friendly staff! Plus theres hardly a wait in the evening so grab something to share after lunch or dinner.
