This place is awesome, such a hidden gem! I almost don’t want to write a review to keep it secret but they deserve it!Ring the bell speakeasy style to get in, small little one alleyway store with affordable local artisan and imported goods like snacks, spices, gelato, bread, cheese, wine. Little courtyard in the back with 4 or so small tables (dog friendly!) where you can sit and wine taste a set of wines or buy a bottle from their impressive selection to enjoy at retail price. They do cheese plates and some other small pairing plates, she also has a great selection of cheeses and is extremely knowledgeable about what pairs well together. They have a walk in cooler where you can see the champagnes and other cooled wines, as well as cheese selection.She’s been there for 20+ years and is very friendly! Family run business looks like. Would highly recommend this really cool spot.

Food and atmosphere are wonderful. Disappointed only the house wine was available by the glass and Pinot Noir and red blend were not very good.Impressive variety of wines, but can only be purchased by the bottle. Suggestion is to offer flights of wine so an informed decision can be made to purchase a bottle of wine.

My friends and I had a nice time yesterday at this wine store. This is a chilling place to hang out if youre a lover of liquor or wines like me. Many of the wines shown are all imported and are reasonably priced. Well, for you, this is the place! A very good environment for just dining, drinking and chatting to your friends. Highly advised!

At first look, it seems like an unassuming grocery store, but so much more with beautiful back patio and delicious wine/cheese/meat (I almost dont wanna give up this secret).Been a regular year for quite some time. The owner (Shirley) is incredibly kind + brilliant in her wine and cheese suggestions. Love the ability to choose specific meat & cheeses for you plate (could even sample the cheeses pre-Covid!)Price point is 2x below anywhere else in the area. Literally my favorite establishment in the city.

Randomly stopped in and enjoyed a snack with a bottle of bubbles on the patio. Then bought a few bottles of wine to take home. Its almost a speakeasy type entrance and totally worth finding.

Very cute family run business. They have generous pours, and a cheese / wine room! Prices are extremely fair, and there is a cute patio in the back with heat lamps. We always pick a bottle and some cheeses, and order the charcuterie board.

Planning a trip to Napa this summer so went to this place to learn more about wines. Shirley who runs the place is so friendly and helpful she conducts winetasting parties on Friday night. There is also a olive oil refill policy that you should check outHave to admit though that the cheese is what makes me come back every week!Gouda truffle cheese-is my hands down favorite !

New to SF and absolutely loved the vibe on the back patio. Great staff (Shirley is literally an angel), great bites, great prices! Definitely encourage people to come by and down some amazingly priced wines and devour raclette (melty cheese charcuterie...).They also have a killer wine selection for the day to day.

Shirley is amazing. The place is cute and quaint with a hidden patio in back. Very diverse selections of wine and cheese. Perfect pairings and perfect pricing and she is really passionate about what she does. Tasty deli offerings as well (prosciutto/salamis/olives) as well as coffee and yogurt.

A Parisian gem in San Francisco. Incredible selection of cheese and wine. I was orchestrating a picnic for a friend’s birthday and the woman who owns the place was so fantastic and knowledgeable. She offered us a quick wine tasting while she prepared the charcuterie (we actually ended up buying the wine she recommended, it was delicious). She went the extra mile to make sure we were all sorted with enough picnic equipment before we were on our way. 10/10 customer service and 10/10 for the food. One thing we did not know prior to arriving was how unbelievably cozy the back patio was! Had I known that space existed I’d have budgeted more time to have a few glasses of wine there. Would highly recommend overall!

An amazing find in SF! The best selection of French food, cheese and products in the city - that Ive find. They have an entire cheese room in the back and its full of delicious types. I picked out three that Im going to use to make a delicious fondue. Theres also a bit of a deli and back patio to sit in the sun and enjoy your purchases.

We stopped in right before closing for a tasting and the owner was so gracious! She made us a beautiful cheese plate and we tasted delicious wines. I wish we could have stayed longer.

We needed some Raclette for a party and she special ordered it for us, and it was at a fair price. She is so friendly and helpful. What a gem of a spot I hadn’t noticed on Gough.

On our first visit, two of us ordered special sandwiches, for pick up two hours later. They didnt charge is at the time, trusting us to return for our custom food. I really appreciated that personal touch. Also, they pack a lot of product and service into a very small space - highly recommended!

This is my secret place. When the hustle and bustle of Hayes Valley gets a little too intense I duck away to the back patio of this adorable store & restaurant. The cheese plate portions ARE RIDICULOUS, the wine pours are generous and the price is just right.While Id hate for the secret about this amazing place to get out, it would be WAY WORSE if it closed because of not enough patronage. So come here, sit a spell, shop some, and enjoy this little hole in the wall escape from it all.PS - two words: CHEESE CAVE

It was fantastic! Far better than I hope, the guy behind the counter totally engaged with us. I learned a ton about cheese, and we had a big glass of wine and cheese for 5 people for a very reasonable price. Excellent place, would go again.

Cramped space. Pretty good sandwiches. Cheese selection is good. Odd French covers of American songs in the courtyard.Annoyed that I ordered a sandwich and somehow was charged more than the menu-price.According to the cashier, the owner upsold me without telling me. Never a good policy, I dont know why people think its OK to do that.

Friends of mine were looking around the city for abondance cheese. Apparently it is not that common. Gourmet and More had it along with quite a few other cheeses that all were delicious.
