I just moved to a new apartment and discovered that the padding for a very large rug needed to be replaced. Needless to say, I was under pressure to find a supplier. Good fortune led me to Rodney at Cal Carpet and the padding of my choice was not only in stock, but delivered the next day! I am delighted and will shop there again as need arises. Thank you Rodney!
We were a trusted vendor. Mary and John Wilson deliberately stole $6000+. If you are looking to do business with them I recommend getting payment upfront. Not upstanding owners
Guys---Please DO NOT deal with these guys--You will not believe what they did to us---So we placed an order for a Home Installation for over $14,000.00--The day of the installation the installers broke the legs of one of the Chairs of our Antique Dining Room set and THEY DID NOT EVEN TELL US!! 3 weeks Later we were polishing The Dining Room Set and discovered the chair!!! The installers took the Nail Gun and tried to nail the leg back instead of just being honest with us what they had done---When I contacted Nora & Greg who both report to the owner, they did absolutely NOTHING--They said the owner wouldnt do anything except come fix the chair that they mutilated! I told them they were crazy, how can you fix a chair when it has been mutilated and since it is part of a set the entire dining room was now useless---For 4 weeks now they have been playing games hoping we would go away so we had to hire a good layer and sue them. This is very first time I have ever written a review anywhere on social media but I felt compelled to warn all of you NOT to ever deal with these guys.
We had a terrific experience with California Carpet. Gregory, our sales rep, knows the industry inside and out and made great recommendations for us. He also has the patience of Job ;-) From initial selection to measuring to installation, the entire process was seamless, professional and we love the results.
I have conducted business with California Carpet for maybe 15 years and for the last 10 years with Felix Medina. Felix delivers every time with superlative customer service. Most every transaction is flawless, but hey, these are people we are talking about and sometimes there are issues. Felix and management has always had my back and have quickly stepped in to make it all better. Who can ask for more. They make me look good in front of my clients. Thank you and heres to many more years of a good relationship.
As a customer we received a bad service from one of your sales person particularly named Felix Medina. We are patiently waiting for the arrival of our order which theyve been advised us that the shipment will arrive in the morning. However, it didnt happened. When we try to reach out to this person, he was so mad and very very rude. Now, you lost one client because of the attitude of your sales person.
We worked with Dennis to find the carpet that we wanted/needed based on use and material. Dennis helped us to narrow down what we were looking for. Contact was thorough throughout the process and we worked with Hector as well as some questions arose. The finished product was exactly what we were looking for.
California Carpets has a good selection BUT the service I received from Hector was awful....I am still waiting to receive the last carpet I ordered. No follow up...I have to be the one calling .... and calling to find out what is going on. I would no use them again and I am in the market to re carpet another home for my daughter. They use to be good as I used them in the past but would not recommend them or use them again. Its too bad. At one time California Carpet was a good company but not now.
A big shout out to David Chavez and the entire California Carpet team for a job well done!!! You are the best!!
We have a long history of working with California Carpet and they have remained exceptional in terms of expertise and service. I would recommend them for all types of projects whether they are high-end or value-priced. The size of their company allows them to offer greater availability and flexibility compared to my experience working with smaller companies.
Great selection of carpets in a wide range of prices. Installation was quick and seamless.
You need to be on them. Good product, but I wouldn’t rely on the service without the backing of using Costco. This will be my last encounter. I asked to have baseboards caulked and Dave, the scheduler, argued with me and essentially called me a liar - “ California carpet does not and has never offered caulking”, although the last FOUR floors I had installed included baseboard caulking. You cannot reply on what the sales man tells you now as he is just that.... sorry to say
The salesman entered the wrong part number into the system, so we got the wrong material, which we didnt realize until after installation was underway. We asked the salesman to make good on his mistake; and he initially agreed to give us a small amount of compensation. That offer was withdrawn by the owners; and, we were told we had signed a contract and were not going to receive anything from California Carpets.California Carpets owners did not return our phone call; and, we were even charged for 3 unopened boxes of flooring which we had returned. Customer satisfaction is not high on California Carpets list. Buy at your own risk.We do not recommend them.
As a fellow small business-owner in SF, I know how hard it is to keep your customers happy with every little thing while still turning a profit. That said, our post-sales experience was pretty terrible, and for seemingly unnecessary reasons. The carpet installation took place during a full renovation, so I wasnt there at the time. However, the installers left small to medium size (quite noticeable) gaps below the brand-new trim in many areas around the house, and when I called to follow up, I was told by the salesperson too bad, you need to tell your contractor to re-install the trim. I had photo evidence that the trim was fine in most areas, making it very likely that it was just a bad install job, but they wouldnt even send someone out to investigate. After a ton of runaround and having to escalate to managers, we finally got in touch with someone who said oh, thats an easy fix. WHAT THE HELL!?!? Of course, they only fixed the most egregious gap, not the many other small gaps around the house. In general, it was just a really crappy experience that should have been simple to address. The carpet is fine, as far as carpets go, but Ill never use California Carpets again, and would be hard-pressed to recommend them.
The staff was super helpful. We needed an office rug. He lead us right to a stack of them in the size we needed and helped us decide which one to get, along with a pad to put it on. Super easy and fast. The place is huge too.
I brought many rugs at California Carpets.... I am so happy with the the carpets....Felix was just outstanding and over and beyond the call of duty not because he has to but because he loves his job.......I really liked that the time that he took with me didnt rush me .......I would never buy carpets anywhere else........Thank you so much Felix.....until next time........plus the staff was outstanding too...
Helpful, huge selection of remnants, had exactly what I needed at the right price.
Michael has been a great help and enjoyed his enthusiasm while finding the right rug for office space.
STAY AWAY. They will try and cheat you.I found California carpets through the Costco website looking for Costco window blinds. Im turns out Costco forgot to delete this page of their website. I played phone tag for two weeks with someone from California Carpets (they couldnt bother to follow through and schedule an appointment) until I called Costco directly to find a different vendor. Thats when I learned that Costco no longer does business with California Carpets and the webpage needs to be removed. That doesnt stop California Carpets from claiming they are Costco vendors on their voicemails and trying to poach sales. These guys are sleazy, and their sales / service sucks.
Excellent products selections but a little bit pricey.
Not much of selection pricing is very high compared to everyone else in the bay you will save 35 percent going with someone else for a better selection in carpet
Worst experience ever. Hardwood flooring on staircase kept coming apart. It was clear the installation was faulty but it took California carpet almost 2 months to finally replace wood with carpet while leaving us with the mess for that long of a time. First the owner was away then the installers couldnt make it ... Everyones schedule was considered except ours, the customers.
They are apologizing and refunding some money, so my attitude is much changed. Ken
Bad company. They dont care about customer satisfaction. cant trust the company.
