It was such a pleasure to deal with Mike L and the others at Cars Dawydiak. I had seen a 2005 Lotus Elise on their website that I was interested in looking at. The details of the car on their website seemed to good to be true for a 16 year old car. I happened to be on a job in San Francisco area (I live in VA) so I decided to go check it out. It was all true. This car was exactly all of that and then some. Mike welcomed me in there like I was a regular customer. He spent what seemed like all morning with me. He knew this car inside and out and explained to me every detail I asked about. There was no BS or pressure to buy. Once I did purchase it, he connected me with a broker/shipper that he uses a lot and he was as professional and good to deal with as Cars Dawydiak. Not to mention, the truck driver that delivered 3000 miles to me in VA. Another real professional. Everything about this experience was excellent. Plus I got a cool little Lotus to drive around the Blue Ridge Mountains in VA.
There are now various online tools to help someone sell a car. However, selling on consignment is still a good way to do so if you dont want to deal with the minutia of selling the car yourself. Mike Leddy, of Cars Dawydiak, provided great service in helping me sell my car. He made sure the car was perfectly presented, and took charge of the negotiation and paperwork (which in this case, was an out-of-state buyer). Highly recommended.
Had a car’s condition told to me over the phone as well as a Video walk around. Still I felt compelled to fly across country to look for myself. Sorry to say that was a total waste of time. When I arrived to inspect the car it was EXACTLY as explained to me on the phone. Having saying that I did purchase the car as it was exactly what I could have done without the trip. These guys are straight up front with what you are buying. Great to do Business with. Five Star all the way. Thanks goes out to Mike 👍👍
Had a fantastic experience here. Ive bought two cars from these folks previously, and sold a 96 NSX through consignment.Brought home a 993 c2s today - and I have to say, dealing with Mike Leddy, the experience was head and shoulders above the 3 previous cars. Those were good, but the 993 with Mike was great. Completely honest, forthcoming, responsive even off business hours; when I went to inspect the car, Mike went out of his way to make sure I saw every angle of the car possible; insisted on taking it to their lifts in the shop so I could inspect the undercarriage carefully and gave me all the time that I needed. When I decided to pull the trigger, the paperwork was all ready for me, and I was in and out in < 5 minutes.Painless, peace of mind, honest, and fast. There were a couple very minor small items identified (pretty standard fare for a 20+ year old car now), and Mike had already ordered them and placed them on the due bill.Cannot recommend Mike enough. Dawydiak is a fantastic place for car nuts of a certain breed (lotus and porsche nuts especially) - but add in Mike Leddy and youve got yourself a stew going on! A+++.Thank you Mike and Walter! Service here is always great - I recall back in ~2008, I purchased a 2005 Storm Titanium Lotus Elise from Walter (and worked with Sorinne, who was also amazing). I wasnt too sure on the car, and Walter signed out the car on dealer long term loan to me so I could take it home and get to know it over the next few days. Of course, I was hooked and bought the car; but the trust Walter had in me, a younger kid at the time, floored me.What a gem to have in the Bay Area.
Recently bought a new (to me) Lancer Evo X from Mike L after looking for the right example for a few months. Mike was great - super responsive, walked me through the car, and after I agreed to purchase, he helped arrange for all the parts needed to make the car CA smog compliant, as it was previously a Texas car. Test drive went smoothly, car was in excellent condition, and the team was professional and easy to work with. Recommend 100% to anyone looking for their next sports car!
Walter is the absolute best! He was the ONLY person to help me when dealing with a HORRIBLE experience with my Jaguar and another body shop. He genuinely cares about his customers and went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure I got my Jag back in great condition. Hes amazing!
After seeing and driving a Lotus Evora 400 and finding the closest dealer couldnt get me exactly what I wanted, I went on a quest to find the color and option combination I wanted at the best possible price. This is not always easy, especially when youre dealing with a manufacturer that brings in less than 50 cars nationwide each year.I looked at available inventory online in just about every sales channel, and worked on pricing with three dealers across the country that had the general configuration I wanted.Except one really stood out, they had the right exterior color and option list, but not interior and were really communicative. When I made my desired interior color known, Mike West at Cars Dawydiak offered to swap in what I was looking for to make a deal happen, and guaranty no issues. Thats where I made the decision to purchase from Mike immediately. Simply put, he is the most engaged relationship oriented car sales guy Ive ever worked with. The purchase process was reasonably simple, no dealer fees were added to a reasonable negotiated price--which, had I been local, would have been one of the best deals in the country. All paperwork was exchanged by Federal Express, including ownership documentation which was instantly accepted for registration in my state-not always the case on out of state transactions.During the entire process, Mike kept me up to date on everything, literally everything - even the interior change over was photod and sent along real time, and warehousing of the car covered up while it awaited shipper pickup too. When the car was ready to go, he sent me photos and video of the car loading on the carriers truck. During transit he checked in to see if it was in yet.Really, Im not sure there is a better relationship focused manager in the industry than Mike West-hes certainly the best in the hundred cars or so Ive purchased over the years. He is definitely the best Ive worked with for inter-state sight unseen deals on specialty stuff.I never would have thought my Lotus purchase would originate in San Francisco, considering Im way over in North Carolina, but Mike made the deal easy, added value that no one else would, and provided service that is simply over the top.Very impressed. Thanks Mike.
Beware! I bought an expensive used exotic sports car from this dealership. It turns out that they were selling it consignment for one of their local customers. It also turns out that this vehicle hadnt had an oil change in 4 years and 11,000 miles. Cars Dawydiak admitted this and apologized (they said their service records confirmed it), but only stalled, asking me to get multiple tests and evaluations without ever reimbursing me. After some time, Cars Dawydiak tried to change their story, saying there may have been an oil change that they didnt originally know about. My car (low miles and just out of warranty) has sludge, lower engine damage, and smokes under acceleration. A local independent shop has confirmed this. So far, only stall tactics and no help from Cars Dawydiak.
This is only my experience: I originally advertised my car on CL and then got an email from someone saying that they could sell it with confidence. I reluctantly called and he went through his sales pitch. I asked him in more ways than one, if the car doesnt sell, what are my total out of pocket costs? Since, I checked into selling it through a specialty dealer in my area and they charge a monthly storage fee, which I did not want that out of pocket expense since this car will need a certain buyer that may take time to find. He told me, on the phone, that the total costs would be $350. for an inspection and $100 for detailing and photos. Thats all he mentioned. So, I agreed to bring it in. I was worried about driving my car in downtown SF to the dealership so they said theyd send a truck to pick it up and would cost around $100. I agreed to the truck to pick it up. After that, I went to the dealership to drop of all documents and spares for the car and signed the appraisal form. A few months go by and no word. I suggested, lowering the price. They said, No, theres other cars like yours out there for higher prices. A few more months, I decided to list my car on Bring a Trailer. They said, give them another chance and theyd focus on it now. A few more months and nothing, so I wanted to get my car again and now they say, they have an offer but need more time. The offer fell through. Again, I wanted to get my car and now they have a second offer but I asked them my costs to get my car back. NOW, they brought up storage fees and detailing was at $1500, the truck for shipping was now at $219.Now for the big part. I told them, I didnt know about the storage fees. They said its normal and they need to make money and it was in the contract. I asked for a copy of the contract and they replied via email, Here is the contract you signed. Yes, it showed storage fees but the signature field was blank. I responded, It didnt look familiar, could they send the one that I did sign. They sent the same one, but now its signed but not my hand writing, but my name. It was forged. They never admitted it but said, Walter decided to wave the storage fees. So fees were at around $2100. They did do a paint buff out which I expected to be a little more but not $1400 more. A week went buy and Im coming to pick it up and now the negotiating gets kicked over to Walter, the owner. The Storage fees are back on, the trucking is now up to $295 and also some repairs are added in, (which I knew nothing about). The bill to pick it up now, is over $3700. (which I didnt have). I was leveraged into selling them my car at a low price, that they originally claimed was worth $85k plus. And then, as other negative Yelp reviews say, they start insulting your car. As if they were reading a script.Attached are photos of my real signature on the appraisal form and the forged one on the contract. Notice the rt are not the same. They tried to disguise it over the top of my printed name that they wrote in. Many people will accuse a company of things with no proof. Well, here it is.They never apologized or even responded to these issues in my emails. I found it amazing, that this is not about just one rogue employee but three involved. This is just my experience and I will never go back. What you do, is up to you. If anyone wants the email string, let me know.
Great buying experience. It was a pleasure dealing with Mike, he communicated promptly and made the entire process of purchasing the car easy and quick.
I recently sold my Aston Martin convertible through Cars Dawydiak. I decided to use a consignment arrangement since as a female I did not want to worry about security with test drivers and the hassles with payment/title transfer.Mike L explained their process and it went exactly as he described. No surprises. My car sold in less than 2 weeks. I felt the process was fair and very professional.
He was very helpful in my car buying experience. He was knowledgeable and friendly. It was a smooth transition switching my lease to another vehicle.
Super honest guys here. I brought my car in for brakes and rotors, and they told me I was good for another 6 months. Even better, they didnt charge me a thing!I will definitely be coming to them on a regular basis from now on. Their prices are decent, and you cant put a price on having a trustworthy mechanic.Car Nerds is the best!
Impressed from the get-go with this shop. The desire to let the customer know what needs to be done for safety and the law, what could be done for long-term betterment of the vehicle and ride, and learn what WE the customers would like to be done - all outstanding! I want to thank the crew specially Lani and Walter for really coming through for me and my now all repair amazing looking mini roadster you guys really put a big smile in my face. They have charted repair and maintenance and helped figure out a plan Top Notch! Five Stars! Thank you Technicians!
Fantastic car buying experience here at Cars Dawydiak. I am an out of state buyer of a (new to me) Porsche 993 and I could not be happier with my decision to buy my car here. Laurent was always available to answer questions I had, and the car arrived to me as described. The rest of the staff was very helpful in all the process up to and including the car pick up for transport. I am happy, and I have no reservations recommending Cars Dawydiak.
My 2018 Range Rover Velar has unfortunately been through quite a lot and needed bodywork three times (none of which were my fault!). I decided to use Cars Dawydiak for the work and am glad I did. They do an amazing job, have great customer service, and some of the best communication Ive seen from a company. If youre looking for a boat shop, Cars Dawydiak is the one to pick!
My 2004 Honda Accord unexpectedly stalled with its check engine light on. Double checked that my gas cap was tight and then called AAA. They recommended the Car Nerds who said they could evaluate it that day. After diagnosing the problem being oil sludge mucking up my vvt valve, they were able to replace the valve and clear out the oil sludge. Quick and efficient at a reasonable price. Highly recommended
Overall I had a great buying experience. Steve and Jay were great and got me through the buying process quickly and smoothly. I did a lot of research before, shopped around and it paid off. They had the exact 4Runner with the options I was looking for on their lot. Really good guys, never felt any pressure and since their price was good I didnt feel the need to haggle. It was better than most of the no haggle one price dealerships.
The best measure of a car dealer is how they treat you when you are unlikely to buy.I was in the market for an Alfa Romeo Giulia in a very specific color combination. Dawydiak didnt have it but another dealer did. Sales manager Mike West first tried hard to get me the car I wanted and when the other dealer wouldnt trade he was still super cool and professional. He continued to answer my questions and made it clear that Id be very welcome for service even if I didnt buy from them. I was impressed and grateful.
This review is for the body shop -- I have very rarely in my life experienced such a high level of customer service. You notice this from the first moment you are in contact with Jessie (she is a superstar)! I had some damage on my Range Rover that I needed fixing and that I was going to pay for out of pocket (no insurance). Cars Dawydiak was super competitive on their pricing. Their finished work made my vehicle look brand new. And again, their high-touch customer service so impressed me! Malissa runs the show here and she runs this shop like a well oiled machine. You can tell, she treats you like, she would want to be treated. I must say, it is super refreshing to go into a body shop and it is run by women! Both Malissa and Jessie are superstars and you feel taken care of every step of the way!
Pleasant and professional staff at the coolest dealership here in San Francisco. Bought my Giulia Quadrifoglio here and Brian spent nearly 30 minutes with me to get acquainted to the features of the car. So far so good, we will see when I bring the car in for maintenance or service.
Great selection of cars! Knowledgeable too! I want to spend my 💰 with these guys!
Mike was nothing short of amazing!!!! Bought a 61 corvette off them and treated me like gold.... Great group over here! Best I have ever dealt with.
I have tried to contact this business for the past week without any success. Try the webpage contact section, and varioud phone numbers. Also, leave a voice mail and nothing. Maybe they are out of business or closed due to covid!!!
Great customer service, super clean body shop! It almost feels like quitting your job and start working with such good people :)
Two thumbs way up for the sales and maintenance staff at Cars Dawydiak. I had the pleasure of purchasing my Audi here roughly 6 months ago and couldnt be happier with the service that Mike and the team provided throughout the process. After several months of bad craigslist deals and endless haggling, I was relieved to find these folks. Plus, they had an amazing selection of unique, exotic and just plain cool automobiles! Thanks yall
Recently I was in the market for a Highlander XLE and met Shane Wong at Cars Dawydiak. He was very informative and courteous, and helped me negotiate a very good deal. It was a pleasure dealing with such a professional individual.
I have bought about 15 cars from different dealers in last 20 years in different states. I know when dealers are honest and go out of their way to help a customer. Cars Dawydiak have exceeded all expectations. Amazing customer service with honest/ direct opinion. Laurent Martin was my sales person and literally held my hand through out the entire process. Not only they have the best vehicles, also great connections with banks. I had some credit issue and Laurent was able to have it approved with 2 different bank with great %. He Never shot-gun my credit report to 12-15 different banks, like most dealers would do. I was able to get a hold of him with any questions anytime of the day. None of their cars are from auctions like most dealers when you are buying a Porsche. When bank would not go beyond Blue book value, he adjusted his prices so the deal does not fall through. They also save you money on PPI (Pre purchase Inspection), PPI from Dawydiak was very thorough and gives you more information than any average PPI. Amazing showroom with great hospitality. Laura was amazing doing all the paperwork and never pushed me to buy after market product that most dealers do these days.If you want a quality car at a right price, please reach out to Laurent Martin. I am from LA and Cars Dawydiak blows any dealer away in LA with their service.Thank you Laurent.
Walt sold my 73 Porsche 911S for me - Im very pleased with his service. Extremely professional, responsive, and easy to work with.
I called noon time on a normal day to speak with one of Alfa romeo Sales about Stelvio they took my information and they said they going to call back in 10 min, after 2 hours waiting i called back again and asking if they are going to call or when i expecting them to call they never reply and i was able to reach the sales manager which he did the same and he said let me call you back, dont even think about call this dealer i didnt buy the car and they are doing this what about if i have issue i would like to show and bring this issue to one of Alfa remeo executive officer.
Great customer service, beautiful showroom! Would recommend!
Exceptional service and fantastic work. Lani was wonderful to work with and my car looked fantastic when the work was done.
Helpful staff. Great car selection older and newer models.
I have had a disastrous time trying to revive the title for a car that I purchased at this dealership over a month ago. I purchased the car, paid cash for it, and wired the money on October 5, 2019. The car was shipped to me and received. It is now November 19, 2019 and I have still not received the title. The dealership did not pay off the previous car loan for over a week and a half after receiving my wire transfer, and when asked about it, they said CA law allows them 21 days before having to pay off the lien. They are doing nothing to expedite the title to me, and keep promising that it should be here in the next couple of days. It should not take that long to get a car title, after communicating with other car dealerships they say it it should not take more than 1 week. Proceed with caution with this dealership, especially if paying cash for a vehicle.
Ive purchased two cars from these folks, over the years, both times the process was a pleasure. The first was a mint condition MG which I ended up selling back to them and made a profit after enjoying it for several years. The second was my absolute favorite car of all times a 1967 Mercedes 230SL Pagoda model also in excellent condition. I regret the car was involved in an accident in Beverly Hills and totalled. I have been tring to replace it for many years. It was also an excellent investment. These guys are tops in their field. The inventory is specialized and they are very selective about what they sell.
Great shop to work with! Im from Utah and I came into buy a car they had listed. When I called them they were extremely knowledgeable (even more so than some Porsche dealerships Id called). They took a great amount of time talking with about the car before I ever left Salt Lake. When I arrived they had a low pressure approach and allowed me significant uninterrupted time to inspect the car. They had all the proper paper work (e.g. Service records and car fax). Easy to negotiate with on a final price. That all said what they did next for me was really above and beyond! I had to fly in the next weekend to drive the car home and their sales manager picked me up from the airport. After everything was finalized and I left the sales manager texted me to ensure everything was going well. When I got back to Utah I had some trouble with the dmv which they promptly handled. In short even after the car was sold they continued to treat me extremely well. Highly recommend these guys theyre a class unto themselves as far as service!
There are lots of places to spend your money on quality products and services from reputable people. I found the staff here to be extremely rude and lacking integrity.
Stunning showroom and excellent service department.
I will not do business again with these folks - the owner is a mercurial and temperamental individual who failed to effectively communicate with us as time went on and failed to live up to at least one verbal agreement committed to over the phone....I just cannot recommend him, period.
Think twice before you buy a brand new car.
Good selection and service
German classic car heaven, many exports to choose from.
Plenty of classic cars in mint condition
Very professional service
Great vehicles on display
Friendly staff!
