These guys are rare scammers who are trying to sell photographic equipment at prices that are many times too high. And when you refuse, they willingly discount the price. But its still overpriced. The seller offers the product, while constantly talking to you and does not let you think.Avoid this store! Оценка - 5 с минусом. October 2021.

Over priced products. They get you with hardly any price labels so you can just ask for it and it feels like they take you to the counter. I got charged $65 for a power bank that couldn’t be worth more than $20, considering how small it is

This place sold me a battery for my camera. Assured me it worked with my camera. When I discovered it didn’t I took it back to exchange for a proper battery. They tried to charge me twice the price others charge for that battery. then lowered it to half again as much. I asked for a refund. No refunds. I’m just out $60.

0 stars would more accurate! I recently found the receipts from the products I bought here in 2013. After leaving their store, I checked for other peoples experiences. I wish Id checked first. These guys are high-pressure scam artists. We were visiting from overseas and just went in to find a smaller camera. When we left, we had a cheap small camera and a couple of lenses and a filter for my Canon. These didnt do what the salesperson said they would. He showed me how the lens works on their in-store camera since I didnt have my Canon with me. They must have sold me something totally different. When I got back to my hotel and tried it on my camera--it didnt do ANYTHING! We were moving on the next day so couldnt go back. From the other reviews, trying for a refund would have been a waste of time anyway.I just wonder why, 6 1/2 years later, these people are still allowed to be in business and scam tourists. BEWARE!!!!!

These guys are scammers trying to make a quick buck from tourists. Tried to charge me $140 for something that costs $30 online and tried to make me pay full price because they opened the box without me even asking them to. Real shame that this business is allowed to operate in such a tourist area. Really pulls San Francisco down.

If I could put a zero I would. They sold me a polarizing filter for $50 (which you can find the exact one cheaper online), and it turns out it is already cracked. Go to return it and I was unable to since their no refunds sign. Shouldve checked the reviews before purchasing from there. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!

I walked into the store knowing what I was walking into. I got stuff I needed, and I got a deal. The sales guy had me google the prices of things he was trying to push. I didnt buy anything I didnt have on my list for eventual purchase (UV & ND filters). Im not defending anyone. Savvy shoppers can get good deals. I was taught how to shop by my mom in the shops of NYC, so thats how I approached it. Prices change as the conversation progresses. This isnt BestBuy. Be smart. Caveat emptor. These are pics I took with the Nikon AF-P NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6E ED VR Lens.

DO NOT WALK IN!They are rude and not genuine. They sold me the wrong product for my go pro and when I tried to call the following day they hung up in my face. When I went into the store they threatened to kick me out of the store for standing up for myself. Please go elsewhere! I do not want anyone else to deal with the emotional stress I endured. On top of it all, they did not have the product I needed and would not refund my money.

Like the other reviewers, I found this a complete scam of a store. In fact, they all are on the water front - this one specifically is the worst.I went to two previous stores looking for basic information on a wide angle lens and they both were complete jerks so I left. Was quite taken aback so figured - lets try this place - cant seriously hit 3 for 3.Well - thats exactly what happened. The initial staff member was great. He was extremely helpful, however the prices were double what I was expecting back in Canada which I felt was very odd. Then, he put one lens on my camera and it was not a true wide angle - it distorted the image - yet this was over $900? They showed me another product for $500 which was an Axes screw on lens thing - which was just as bad.I suggested I wanted to do some research and another guy came over and tried to take over the sales thing. He was incredibly rude to his staff and then wanted to show me online the online advertised price - it was over $600 - he then said he would sell it for $390. I continued to suggest I would like to do some research and he got extremely mad and rude, told me I was wasting his time and basically kicked us out of his store.I could not believe it.I got back to my hotel and did some research on these screw on wide angle lens things and found them starting around $25.00 - and with very poor reviews as they are basically a magnifying glass over your lens - pure junk.Clearly - this is just a scam from the very beginning.I highly recommend you avoid these stores. They are out to scam you .

One star only because I cannot choose less.. dont walk in this shop. These persons are thieves. Dont buy anything since the things are probably stolen. No warranty for our camera. We overpaid an old camera 3 times more. We also paid an SD card much more than its real cost. At the end of the day we discovered on the Web that we paid 270 dollars for items that cost less than 100 dollars. We did not have Internet at the time of the shop and we trusted the seller. We were wrong.I cannot understand how this store can be opened. Its incredible. Its like mafia. The day after we complained and they threatened us. No words for these guys. Hope the worst for them.Dont walk in.

Pretty high pressure tactics, so dont go in there if you cant say no and dont know approximate prices elsewhere. I did end up getting a polarised lens, which I wanted anyway, pretty sure it was not a very competitive price for the area.

I wasnt scammed but they were persistent - I am glad to find these reviews - sadlty they are all negative experiences which confirms my suspiscions. I was looking at some sigma lenses which I have purchased from local companies within Australia without a problem. The hard sell was on - my husband was determined to purchase the one they were doing the hard sell on - $3000...then$1500 and as we started to walk out the door...$800. We were due to fly out that day and had no extra luggage weight left - so glad.

This place does not even deserve a 1 rating. PAL Electronics disguised as Online Camera Gallery Inc is a disgrace to the San Francisco tourist attraction area. Reviews we found after our regretful purchase demonstrate that year on year this place continues to scam people. We are in total disbelief that the authorities have not done anything about this store. My partner and I traveled from Australia to USA. We had a wonderful experience in San Fransisco up until we were ripped off by these very polished scammers. They prey on the tourist. We were sold a Bower wide angle camera lens for USD$$499 and poloraised filter for USD$199. Australian equivalent $1,100. The fellow shows you an Amazon site with the BOWER wide angle camera lens at USD$699. He says he will give you a better price - USD$499. Later than night we tried to find the Amazon site ourselves to no avail. The closest we could find to what we bought was USD$33. Ouch!!Same with the polarised filter. Closest price was USD$20. Double ouch!! Total equivalent in Australian dollars for lens and filter is $77.To complete the deal the scammer writes a receipt for your purchase (that has a carbon copy the store keeps) to which you the customer signs. The scammer keeps the packaging of the purchase saying we wont need this. Reading the small print later that night states that the sale is complete unless the customer can bring the product back with the original packaging! My partner and I are usually on the alert when it comes to any purchase however this scammer is smooth and very good at his craft.LESSON LEARNT - BUYER BEWARE - THERE ARE SCAMMERS RIGHT IN THE HEART OF SAN FRANSISCO IN LEGITIMATE TOURIST SHOPS WAITING TO SCAM YOU AND THE AUTHORITIES ARE TURNING A BLIND EYE TO THIS.

Worst experience ever. I wish I could give zero stars. Yesterday I was in San Franscosco and I wanted in the store just to look at a few cameras for a possible present to my gf.This guy Called Joe, a very slizzy salesman approached me instantly as I said all I wanted it to see some cameras.I found the canon T5 camera and he said he could sell it cheaper than the internet price. I said ok Ill take it and instblty he stared promoting some kind of fake lenses. I said I dont need lenses and he kept saying you definitely do otherwise the camera itself wont do what you need. After a long negotiation I bought the whole fake package for $899. How stupid I was.He turned the brightness of the camera down in the store so the canon lenses would look bad comparing to his fake lenses. So I bought the package.I went home and the external lenses werent doing anything, I read reviews online and I realised they were fake and super cheap in the market comparing to his $450 price. The original lenses and camera were ok. So I called Joe and he spoke to me in a very nasty and rude way, saying Im not eligible of a refund and he can only sell me a more expensive lense. I asked him to stop playing his silly sales games cuz Im not interested in buying and I want my money back, he started swearing and I told him to stop cuz the call is recorded for security reasons and he shut the phone to my face. Please dont ever get close to this store its a total scam. He will even get angry if he shows you the fake products and you deny to buy it. The guy is a bully. I already called for scam and fraud protection so hopefully he will be in deep trouble

Biggest rogues in America. Got sucked into entering store by Joe,a VERY smooth operator, who proceded to blind me with technology and products for my camera. They seemed to work as he said when he attached them to my camera, but I really didnt need them. Being onholidays and in a relaxed mood,I proceded to purchase several lenses etc and spent some $1500.On arriving back in Australia,I googled them and spoke to a camera savvy friend and found I had been sold inferior, poor quality cheap products at GROSSLY inflated pricesI was stung, and learnt hard way,and despite phone calls and several letters from Australia,Joe was too gutless to respondIf I can help prevent someone else from being sucked in the same way I will be happyDont go anywhere near this shop

These guys are a complete rip-off! While On vacation my husband and I went in this store looking for a lens for a Canon Rebel, they showed is a wide angle lens made by axer, went through a complete show how amazing this lens was. Then when it came down to talking money they started with a price of 1500 dollars. We said no thank you and again to leave the store is the lens was price too high. Then started the good cop bad cop game, another man came over and said well wait wait wait youre my last customer of the day I like you guys and I can give it to you for this price, mind you know when is the store would ever say a number, a price, they would only type it into a calculator! Found this very odd right away my intuition put up a red flag! Continuing on the next price offered was $799. Again we said no and again to walk out of the store, then you said wait wait wait where is the price need to be for you to buy this today and Ill throw in a polarized lens filter, I spoke up and said 400 dollars still thinking I was getting a great deal at that price, he said will take it and I was rushed to pay hurry hurry hurry upon leaving the store I had a bad gut feeling, feeling like I bought a 200 dollar vacuum cleaner for 4000 dollars. So I got out my phone and begin doing some research which I should have done before I handed over my credit card, but again these guys are good its a scam. So finding out upon internet research that they were selling these lenses to others for as low as 140 dollars, that the website they showed a showing 1500 dollars was a scam, and the actual lens itself comes from Japan for a $ 1.17. I was very very angry I marched myself back in that store and demanded a refund, 1 of the men had left for the day the other 1 was still there and refused help me, I asked him how he could sleep at night ripping people off like that at this place was a complete scam, these guys are coming artist and they know it upon me confronting him the man hung his hand he knew what he had done. But he didnt care sorry no refunds you cant show me anywhere on the internet and even if you did you get no refunds no discount you shouldnt have bought it you fell for it not my problem! At that point I got even angrier, he would not talk to me anymore said he would not help me that I was stuck with it! so I began to tell the customers in the store note to buy anything from them, they are scam artist they are in business ripping people off and in my mind stealing! I told several customers my story, several people left the business. After about 10 minutes a man appeared from the back room of the store, his exact words to me were hey lady, cut the bullshit! get over here and give me your credit card and I will give you refund! i started to tell him how his emplyees were scamming people, he said shut up give me your credit card I give you refund and you get the f@#k outta my store! Still waiting for the supposes refund, thankfully my bank is going to help me recover the funds! In a nutshell do not buy anything from this shop! The product is garbage and they charge you over top dollar price for supposed brand name stuff! & its all look a like knock off crap!

Nothing recommended, stop by to buy a lens cover. There he offered me a very expensive lens, the prices are 10 times higher than Amazon, they do not have product return policies, I also noticed that they sell you using a box registered on ebay but they sell you the lens in another box. According to they give you a 50% discount and thus they are 10 times more expensive, without guarantees and nonsense. They lie and blackmail that they are about to close due to COVID and they have everything at auction.
