Goodlife is just awesome. Working with Dermot (the owner) is a dream -- he has excellent design sense, he is a pleasure to work with, he always comes through, he stays on time and on budget. He knows how to give valuable advice and also how to take himself out of the equation, in just the right ratio. We took our kitchen down to the studs; the project remarkably cheap for what we got. And fast -- about 6 weeks from demolition to being able to cook again. I just cant say enough good things about Dermot and Goodlife.

If there were more stars we would give them. Dermot has been AMAZING to work with. He has help us with our new kitchen, or new bathroom and the area around our fireplace. With his years of experience he makes great suggestions of styles and models, and types of wood and colors. He made sure he took precise measurements, and walked us through where gaps would be and how to efficiently use our space. He wouldnt admit it but he is awesome with the software that he uses, providing us with detail layouts, 3D modeling and even colors to see what might work. Dermot remodeled 2 full baths and a kitchen for us in 2012. We are very OCD and did a lot of research beforehand. We interviewed a wide range of contractors, designers, companies - everything from trendy design firms to Home Depot and Lowes. Dermot is your go-to for kitchen cabinets, bath cabinets, and and kitchen remodel jobs. Hes very communicative, honest, gives you the bottom-line price (and tells you its not the rock-bottom price), and can throw in some ideas about design if youre clueless or about to do something you will regret big-time. Hes extremely patient (one of our email threads went over 100 messages), completed our project in the time frame he gave us, and was always cheerful about his work. He helped us on every aspect of the project: design, cabinets, countertops, plumbing fixtures, electrical, demolition/permits, etc. Several months later, he and his subcontractors have been out to fix/follow up on any issues that came up rather than dumping us like I am sure others would have. It might be a bit cheaper to do this through Home Depot, but the hassle and headache wont be worth it. Save money by going for the generic toilet paper, not the corporate contractor. We wholeheartedly recommend Dermot and Goodlife Kitchens.

Goodlife does it right. He is very budget friendly. How many times have you spoken to a salesperson and instead of pressuring you to buy, they tell you to go check out his competitiors? My dealings with him were honest, and he actually advised me against some cabinet features that others tried to sell me. When I took his advice and went to Home Depot for a quote and went back to him, I was surprised how much I was able to save. Never thought Id get a local merchant able to beat the hated big box behemoth! What was even nicer was his attention to detail: I was on a budget and he knew it, and while my wife and I were deliberating over to glaze or not to glaze, he gave me a phone call telling me there was a promotion that was running and saved me even more money.
