They have good product, but the guy who got my meat for me touched my ground pork with his bare hands multiple times. Didnt wash up before touching it either. Then we saw him pushing his hair behind his ears after he rung me up. Pretty disappointing. As someone who buys Niman Ranch pork frequently, Ill be finding a cleaner butcher shop.

Want to be clear that Ive also posted this review on Yelp, but I wanted to make sure I posted it here too!I had never gone to a butcher regularly until Barons opened up near me, and woah was I missing out. First, their selection and quality of meats are top notch. Anything Im looking for, they have it and it cooks deliciously (theyll even give me tips on best way to do it). Similarly, their drink offerings are not only high quality, but extremely unique. Youll find brands of sake, whiskey, gin, etc. that you cant expect to find anywhere else.Beyond that, theyre incredibly friendly and helpful. Each one of them is willing to take the time to help me find what Im looking for, and will double check in the back if its not on display. Additionally, as I mentioned above, theyre always more than willing to answer any questions I may have about their offerings, whether its meat or beverage. I know Im in for a good experience each time I come in!

Knowledgeable staff and great house marinades for pork, beef, and chicken. Mostly local sourced and all sustainable.They stock some nice stuff from Olympia provisions.They also carry a pretty decent selection of wine and whisky.

What a great place! This is the former Drewes which is a real traditional butcher shop with fantastic meat. The grass fed beef steaks are so tasty! If you like beef, this is the place for you.

Good quality meat and seafood; poor customer service. Wish the front door was kept open for better ventilation and protection of customers and staff during a pandemic, in keeping with the practice adopted by other seafood stores in the city and neighborhood.

Best place to get high quality meat around here. Trout and salmon are very fresh. They sell a few other basic groceries too like eggs and pasta sauce.

Convenient location, nice selection of meat, spirits, and some odds & ends. The 3 star rating is due to the service. Its so poor that Ive decided its worthwhile to drive to Castro or Mission rather than suffer through the bad service this shop offers its customers. The service is bad beyond the standard Bay Area dismissive service; the guys behind the counter are flat out rude and the rudeness is consistent over many visits.

They have excellent quality food and produce . they even have a lady butcher now which is awesome . however some of the new maybe younger butchers don’t seem to understand when you ask for a pound of some thing you’d like a pound of it and not a pound and ten which ends up being another dollar. it’s a butcher shop they’re supposed to be able to weigh things accurately, YES?

Man all I gotta say is stop going to Safeway for meat around the corner. These guys have competitive prices and the quality is best. They also sell hard alcohol and my favorite, Barebottle craft beers. Homemade sausages to jerky you are definitely missing out.

This place is wonderful. The meat is Devine and the owner even remember me from the week before. They are incredibly helpful and patient when trying to figure out how much meat you need and what kind. Just an all around wonderful experience. Cant wait to watch the place grow.

The meat is high quality and organic grass fed but the butchers are typical Bay Area rude - put upon that you would have the audacity to ask for service. They carry Nieman Ranch and have organic ground turkey which is hard to find in SF.

You have got to try their marinate tri-tip, its scrumptious! Not usually what Id go for (pre-marinated), but they were serving it at their opening, so I bought two, invited a pile of friends over, and BBQd them that night. Compliments all around :D
