You will no believe how much hardware and lumber they have in this neighborhood store. Whether you are are a professional or a DIYer Golden City will very likely have what you need. Prices are a little higher than the big box stores but the service and convenience is worth it. Long live the neighborhood hardware store. Avoid big box hardware stores whenever possible! 🙌

I didnt know this place existed until today. They had everything I was looking for and had reasonable prices, but the cashier was not focused on her job of getting customers in and out quickly.

Ive passed this place a thousand times and never stopped to check it out till today. I was amazed. They have I think almost anything you need. I needed some sheet rock and I didnt want to drive across town or Daly city to get it. They have it here so that saves time and gas. They also deliver for a small fee. People who work here are also very helpful. So I guess I may have found a new place to go to so close to where I live. Btw prices are pretty good to, not to bad I guess. Check them out if you live in the neighborhood. Thank you.

The only full hardware store Ive found in since moving to San Francisco. Theyre everything Ive missed from my hometown store. Helpful, knowledgeable, and properly stocked for REAL do it yourselfers.

Decent store lota supplies ok staff

The employees were very friendly and tried to be helpful, but the language barrier was almost insurmountable. I was trying to match the stain/paint on some outside redwood stairs. I brought small samples of the wood and both up close and distant pictures of the stairs. Although they didnt seem to really know what it was, besides a stain, not a paint, and didnt have anything that matched - even remotely - the employee made it sound like they had what I needed. I spent about 45 minutes there and was about to purchase a $30 gallon of nonreturnable stain when I finally realized it was not going to look good.I left, went to Fergosi & Co. Paints, and within 5 minutes theyd showed me the different types of stain, found an exact match to what I had, and I bought a gallon.If you dont know what youre talking about and dont really know what the customer needs, tell them so and dont try to sell them something.

They have must of all you need regarding building material, service is ok, just have on mind, if you order materials to be delivered, you have to unload your self or have some one to give you a hand, they just deliver, they do not unload materials.
