I had the best experience with Kate at Marina Morrison. I was lucky enough to get an appointment for a Lihi Hod trunk show and tired on so many beautiful dresses. Kate was a lot of fun and more importantly professional. She helped me pick out dresses based on my budget and style and was really helpful in getting me in the dresses and pinning them just right so that I could see how the dress might look the day of if I were to buy it. My experience was top notch, so much so that it put some other bridal salons in SF to shame that I also went to. Honestly, Marina Morrison is a world class establishment, of course theres stipulations such as the need to put 50% down on a dress, no refunds, etc., but you have to remember this is a business and they need to do this to protect themselves. My advice to Brides, relax and breathe your day is going to be lovely no matter what. Listen to your inside voice, its powerful and knows you better than your mom, sister or friend. Their intentions are well meaning, but everyone has their own style and opinions so trust your instinct and be that confident woman we all know you are. If youre not sure about a dress, dont select one until you know for sure and trust me youll know! Some verbally let out a cry, which is beautiful, I almost cried for another girl at how touching it was when she said yes to the dress, some are very ho hum and quiet (I fall into this category.) Which ever girl/woman you are, youll know when the dress is right. I didnt select a dress until a tried a few other places and that entire day / night I kept thinking about this one Lihi Hod dress that I tried on in a whim. I called Marina Morrison that night and asked for another appointment (Kate let me know before I left my first one that there were a few open.) The next morning I had a call from Kate that they could get me in. I went and tried on my top 2 and ended up with the dress that I couldnt get off my mind. It was the best decision as I knew it was my decision. I had so many compliments and so many, That dress is unreal and out of this world with how pretty it is. I highly recommend Marina Morrison and I thank them for the positive, lovely experience of dress buying!
My fiancée had the greatest experience here at Marina Morrison! They have so many gowns to choose from and their service was impeccable! My fiancée found her gown here and would definitely recommend this bridal salon to all of her friends.
This was the third store I went to (after Bridal Galleria and jin wang), and I bought my dress here! Its a beautiful space with a very large selection and a lot of variety. They had a ton of gorgeous Carolina Herrera, Mira Zillwinger, and Reem Acra dresses and a handful of other brands (including more affordable options and a couple lesser known brands). I went in conflicted about a few styles, and the stylist helping me was very good at helping me sort through that and feel 100% certain that the dress I purchased was the one. Plus, I feel like I won the wedding dress lottery because my favorite happened to be on sale as a sample in my size!
I had such a great experience here and want to thank Maribel for working through the pros and cons of each dress with me and ultimately helping me make my final decision on a dress that was absolutely beautiful. Thank you again!
I am picking up my wedding dress next week and everything has gone off without a hitch!! the store is lovely and they only carry a select number of designers, but the ones they carry have amazing dresses. I went to this store because i found out the designer i had been obsessing over (Lihi Hod) was only sold here and one other place on the west coast... needless to say, I found my perfect dress! Just did the final fitting and am in love! The staff is wonderful and helpful with scheduling appointments/fittings that work for you. i totally recommend Marina Morrison to anyone who asks about my dress-its really a special little place!!
I bought my wedding dress from Marina Morrison in February 2018 and it was by far the biggest mistake I made in the entire wedding process! Truly this company, both Maribel who is the store manager and the owner Rick Wee, were absolutely horrible to deal with. They do not stand behind the products they sell or the representations about quality made by sales associates. Be very careful before you do business with this store. Read every single fabric tag, every single detail on your receipt, etc.I was a stickler on one point relating to my wedding dress- it had to be made of natural fabrics (i.e. silk) and not synthetic (i.e. polyester). I thought I had lucked out when I found a sales associate at Marina Morrison who happily agreed, even going as far as to say no one should be married in polyester on their wedding day. I tried on a ton of dresses and eventually settled on a Lihi Hod skirt and top. I specifically asked the sales associate, even though it seemed like a stupid question given the total of my order was north of $6,000, to confirm the skirts fabric content. She confirmed that of course the skirt was made of 100% silk. I checked the tops tag and noticed it had some synthetic fabric in it, which I was told had to do with the bodysuit portion of the top you cant see (basically underwear). This is where I made my biggest mistake. I trusted the sales associate and never check the skirts fabric content tag. I happily signed the paperwork with all sorts of releases of liability on it. I told myself this must be included because finicky brides probably order dresses and try to cancel them all the time; not something I planned on doing so no problem.I picked the dress up a few months later. I took the skirt and top to my tailor, who was also well aware of my feelings about synthetic fabrics. She informed me immediately upon touching the skirt there was no way the lining was silk and she suspected the outer to be a silk/rayon blend. I was at first stunned, then just totally burst into tears. I wasnt sure who ripped me off- Marina Morrison of Lihi Hod. I thought it could be possible Marina Morrison had no idea the standards at Lihi Hod had dropped and was sure once I told them theyd fix the problem. Not only did Marina Morrison not fix the problem, they immediately referenced their No Refund policy and told me the associate who had helped me pick out my dress had also left the company so there was no way they could verify her claims or help me in any way. I was totally shocked by their behavior and complete lack of empathy for a problem with a product I bought from their store!! I referenced my contract immediately and realized they had written Crepe in as the fabric content of the skirt. Crepe is not a type of fabric, it is a type of weave. I hadnt caught this when I signed my receipt. I dont work in fashion and Im not used to parsing through the details of fabrics and weaves. It was only at this point that I realized why Marina Morrison has such a lengthy release of liability; it has nothing to do with finicky brides and everything to do with poor quality standards and customer service they have no intention of backing up.
Too many stipulations
