We visited DG for the first time last weekend as was thoroughly impressed with the company and personnel. The quality of the products produced is stunning and the staff was amazing!We had set a Boutique appointment to have my wife fitted for a corset and were initially assisted by Alexandra who was incredibly accommodating, knowledgeable, bubbly and so forth until or appointments fitter was ready.We were then assisted by Carynn, the store manager, who was also amazing! She quickly narrowed down the right size and fit of a corset, matching our wants and needs. She patiently explained everything from the construction of the corset, fit, wear, etc. It was an awesome experience and, from someone whos personally worked in retail and specifically retail clothing including custom garments, I was thoroughly impressed.Then the coup de gras. As my wife was trying on the Rosalind gown, Autumn, the founder and owner came in and assisted us, too. Top to bottom, the experience was amazing.I HIGHLY recommend visiting their establishment or engaging with them if you are in the market for a corset, custom bra, etc...you will not be disappointed!We ended up ordering one corset and planning for a second...and third. And a dress. And some other stuff.Anyway, check them out!PS - I think the Uggs really tied the look together, dont you? =P

Extremely helpful staff super wonderful corsetry

Dark Garden is the place to get real hand made from start to finish corsets. Other online shops might say handmade but its like Nike is handmade. Dark Gardens workshop is in the back of building, behind the sales floor and you can poke your head behind the curtains to see wonderfully skilled seamstresss sewing up a storm. They are a local business who support the local community. Come in and get fitted by one of the knowledgeable sales staff or make an appointment with one of the in-house designers. Where do I even begin with how much I adore Dark Garden? Autumn and her absolute sorceress coven of seamstresses created a high back leather corset for me for my opera concert. Singing in it was like being hugged by a god. It fit me perfectly, and every painstakingly precise detail was created according to my obscure vision. The level of expertise and passion Dark Garden offers is beyond anything I could have imagined. This is my second piece with them and I am already starting the initial sketches for my next one. You owe it to yourself to have a couture creation from this establishment. 500 stars!

After 20 years since my last Dark Garden corset, it was time for another one....two. Jessica measured me, found a style she felt would complement my body, slightly different than my original, and it was perfect! Absolutely perfect. Worth a stop just to look and marvel at the wares. Beautiful fabrics and designs. Expensive, but these are really special occasion type pieces. Theyre always at the Dickens Fair every winter too, with live models in the windows!

Stopped in at Dark Garden after I first discovered them at the Charles Dickens Christmas Fair. Ive always wanted a real corset and have bought many cheap costume ones in the past; it was time for the real deal! This shop has quite a range of selections for both men and women. They also do custom orders and bridal wear. The owner has been designing corsets for over 20 years and Dita von Teese, along with other notable celebrities, are amongst her client list.Danielle was super sweet, patient, and educational in helping me choose my first corset. I went in thinking I would want a specific style but after she encouraged me to try on a few other ones and in different colors, I was going in a completely different direction.Even if you do not think a corset is for you, stop by and try it out. Its a life changing experience and I bet youll love what you see!

Must say, Im a corset watcher not a corset wearer. That said, Dark Garden is a lovely corset cave oasis.
