I had a lovely experience at And Something Blue. I went to 5 other bridal boutiques and this was by far my favorite. Irina was so accommodating to my tight schedule and was prompt in email responses. The dress selection they have is beautiful and I was very close to choosing the stunning dress I liked there. Although I ended up choosing a different dress, I may still ask Irina to help me with alterations as she seems incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. If you are looking for a wonderful boutique experience with a great selection of dresses, this should definitely be your first stop in SF.

What a great experience! My first appointment was February of 2020. The lady who helped me was fantastic. She had us browse the whole store and then offered some additional suggestions that were all in my price point. I found my dress and was so excited. When Covid hit my dress was delayed. This was fine because my wedding was pushed back a year. They kept me updated on when my dress would arrive and they were able to hold it for me for an additional year because I didn’t want to store it at my house. I did two additional fittings and it was easy to get an appointment and each time it was quick and easy. I picked up my dress this week and I am so excited to wear it! They even shared tips on the best way to fly with my dress. Thank you, And Something Blue!

Worst customer service I have ever experienced! My daughter had a fitting 6 months ago. We made an appointment at that time for her final fitting. We were told that the alteration person would be there that day for the final fitting. We would stop in, final fitting, go have lunch and take dress home. This was last Friday, August 20th at 12:30. We drove over two hours to San Francisco from Sacramento. Arrived on time and no seamstress was there. She wanted to drop her kids off at school for their first day. We were never given a phone call that we should postpone our appointment. Wedding is this weekend so expected them to bend over backwards to alter the dress. We were told that my daughter lost too much weight. Tailor is only in on Tuesdays and Fridays. Plan B was to have her alter dress this past Tuesday and it would be ready Wednesday after 12:00. In addition, they charged me $80 plus dollars for the alterations. This was in addition to the already $500 plus dollars I paid to have the dress altered last February.Tuesday came and that night my daughter gets a call that the seamstress is out sick and that the dress will not be ready until Friday, the day before her wedding and we are still over two hours away.At this point we are panicked and let them know how unacceptable this is. They offered no resolution. We were told to either pick it up Friday or come and get the dress and figure it out ourselves. My daughter picked up the dress on Wednesday. No apologies. Refunded $80 but charged her $250 for something they said we owed.We took it to our local seamstress Wednesday night and they had to rebuild the bodice and the hem was not complete. They basically took apart the poor workmanship and put it back together properly. They had it done Thursday and it fits her perfectly!Thank God for our local and loyal people in our small community that took care of us!On so many levels how we were treated was terrible and the fact that they body shamed my daughter for losing weight as if it was her fault the dress didn’t fit is just awful! The worst experience we could have had! Beware! Please see below at how the owner responded 15 minutes after my review. She responds that I must have the wrong shop and we are not in the database. The horrific customer service continues. I literally have email receipts with this shops name and address. The lack of accountability is unbelievable.Stay away from this place please!

I got my $1700 dress on sale for $999. if its a sample sale you have to pay in cash or use a debit card. If you dont it is a 3% fee to use your credit card. I love the belt so much which was a little over $200 and Im not even a belt person. Pretty exciting that I got to take home the dress same day!

I cannot emphasize enough how much And Something Blue helped me look fabulous on my wedding day. I used them for alterations after looking for a dress there. Between the time that I ordered my dress (ended up finding it in NY) and when it arrived I had lost more than 25lbs. making it 5-6 sizes too large. They didnt flinch at all. They restructured it, took it in, built the sleeves, modified the bust, and did it all with time to spare. Their cost was more than fair, and going to their store was a pleasure. I loved Irina and on my wedding day when my sister zipped up my dress the first thing she said was like a glove. I would tell everyone I know to work with Irina. Shes a pro, shes honest, and shell have you looking fabulous on your wedding day.

I must say I had the most awesome experience at And Something Blue!BEST bridal shop in all the area. This was out first stop, we went to go look at a few more shops after and you could definitely tell the difference. Great quality as far as products and also how they treat their customers. The stylist helped me all the times I visited, and she went above and beyond and was sooo nice! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Irina and Helen are the nicest women! I bought my dress at a diff shop but they consulted with me on options for alterations before I even bought it, so I obviously brought it to them for tailoring once I had it.Irina had an amazing vision for the alterations and it came out perfectly. I was hesitant to go with it at first, but I’m SO glad I did. Irina is patient, thorough, honest and trustworthy. I have already recommended several friends go to her for alterations. So glad I found this shop and entrusted them with my wedding dress tailoring.

Shopping for a gown at And Something Blue was an extremely pleasant experience. The stylist was super knowledgeable and really tried to find a few styles that fit my budget and flattered me. I didnt feel any pressure and got to try on a lot of gowns and even retried my top two favorites. I was SO glad to say yes at And Something Blue.

I got my wedding dress here and my goodness it was perfect for the day! When I first went in to pick out my dress, I got to look around and pick out dresses that I was interested in trying on. Once done with that round of dresses, the women helping me went and picked out dresses that she believed would be a good option. And my goodness did she pick right!!! One of my bridesmaids came with me for one of my fittings and she was just as equally impressed with the service there! She recently got engaged and will be going back to And Something Blue to look for her dress. Everything was done in such a timely fashion!!! I also had a custom cover up made to replicate a cover up I had tried on but had been discontinued and it turned out perfect.

I had a fantastic appointment with Irina, and found a stunning sheath dress here! I wouldnt have selected it off the rack, but Irina instantly understood my aesthetic, and she knew it would work on my figure, which it does. Her knowledge of fit and shape was impressive, highly recommend you go see her.

Cant believe I am saying this, but I just said YES to the dress at And Something Blue! The experience was beyond anything I had ever imagined. I was super nervous coming here with my mom, dad and future mum-in-law. My consultant, Helen had 10 years of experience and was more than helpful to me. She didnt push the sale and was patient, eventually, she even pulled the dress that I will be married in! I may be on cloud 9 right now, I’m honestly so thankful to this store and its staff! Cant wait till the dress is made!If you want the ultimate wedding dress consultation experience, come to And Something Blue and feel beautiful, both inside and out!

I must say that my original interactions with this shop in the summer of 2017 were not great--I felt like the staff were abrupt and pushy. However, once the shop merged with Helen Miller Bridal a few months later, I had wonderful experiences with the new staff for fittings and alterations. They were really patient, kind, and did not rush me at all. And they are the only shop in San Francisco that carried the Chantel Lauren gown I purchased, which was absolutely breathtaking! I would recommend this shop to anyone.

I have to tell you all that this place is top notch. I made a phone appointment to come in Feb 2018 to get my dress for my July 2018 wedding. I wasnt sure what to expect considering that they didnt have the best reviews but this is the only shop in S.F. that carries Katie May gowns. When I first walked into my appointment the shop was very clean and tidy. we were a greeted and told we could look around. I was then greeted with my bridal dress consultant Lena who is super sweet. Lena was also very honest and I appreciate honesty. she wasnt trying to sell me on any dress, she wanted me to find the dress that was going to be perfect for my body and for my wedding day. I tried on 5 or 6 dresses and I actually fell in love with one of the dresses I didnt even want to try on. come to find out I was Lenas first Bride! I wouldnt have known if she didnt tell me. she was so professional, helpful, and amazing. When I went to purchase the dress, not knowing that you literally need to start looking and order a dress almost a year in advance. I needed to order it asap since it being February and my wedding was in July. The owner Irina called Katie May to make sure that the dress would be here on time and didnt charge me for rush alterations. 2 weeks before my wedding I had two fittings and Irina the Owner did both of my fittings. I cant express enough how grateful I am for this women! she made sure everything was perfect and my dress came out perfect. I never once felt rushed. every fitting that I came to Irina takes her time and really genuinely makes you feel like you are the most important person in the room. Its nice going to a bridal store where you feel like family. I would recommend And Something Blue to all brides just to be able to have the experience I had.

This boutique shop was by far the worst experience out of the four shops I made appointments to. The bridal consultant rushed us, gave no opportunities for me to look at other options. The consultant asked me what other dresses I tried on. Once I showed her images - she continued to tell me they did not look good on me and actually said I was wearing the wrong dresses. After trying on two dresses I did not like, the consultant told us shed email us and pushed us out of the shop. The dress selection was not unique and if anything lacked style and elegance. More importantly, myself - two friends and my mother never felt so un-welcomed. Do not go to this shop. The ambiance and service was really bad, prude and horrible.
