Hanging out with the 75-year old Taiwanese American grandma that owns and runs this shop was such a delight this past Saturday.She has some amazing cook books in Chinese and I bought a few for my mother in law. Her prices are extremely reasonable.Grandma is very personable and kind. She also offered to teach me how to make some Taiwanese delicacies and I wouldve taken her up on the offer if I didnt have to come back to NYC the very next day!Go for the books; stay for the chat with grandma!

Mother Chiang is very nice to me. Sometimes I will volunteer to help her clean her bookstore and I will ask for a book or two for return. She gladly agreed and will cook for me at times. The book store is not earning money nowadays. She rents other house for income. This book store is her side job. Shes very kind. And the book store has many hidden gems. And each customer has his own story there. I was there mainly because I practice Falun Dafa, an ancient Chinese cultivation practice for mind and body. I found it very helpful. And Mother Chiang is helping to sell the book of Falun Dafa there. She is very kind. While China is persecuting this practice in China nowadays, she still helps us. Thats very nice of her. If you have time, welcome to browse her bookstore and leave some marks there! You will love it. I love Jiang Mama. Shes the super friendly snazzy lady owner of the bookstore. She has a huge collection of Chinese books. Theyre all reasonably priced. I picked up a few up traditional Chinese medical books and was thrilled.

Incredible kids selection with great prices. Friendly service. And nice eclectic mix of books for adults.

The lady boss is Taiwanese and very enthusiastic! Here, I found Sanmao’s old Taiwanese books, which are very cheap!
