Globus Books is nothing short of magical not only with the selection of Russian language books that they offer, but with their impeccable customer service!Anastasia’s (best customer service freülein that Globus is lucky to have) special ability to first find, and then, order needed and unique books is second to none!If you are local to San Francisco, or maybe just even passing through, I would highly recommend you stop by there and buy a book or 15!

A lot of books for kids.

Fantastic selection of Russian books. They have books sectioned into authors of different countries, time periods, and genres. There are a number of books for those learning Russian, as well as translations of popular English titles. Political, historical, and philosophical tomes also line the shelves. Its definitely worth a visit if you are in SF and interested in reading Russian novels.

Globus books is one of those beautifully independent bookstores that youre glad you stumbled upon.I walked in not knowing it was a Russian bookstore and still had a pleasant time there. The very nice Russian lady (who I assume is the owner) talked with me about the bookstore and was very welcoming. She knew I didnt know any Russian and probably wouldnt buy anything but she still walked me through the different kinds of books that were available. (Surprisingly, there were a good amount of very random English books.) Though I didnt understand Russian, I found the art books very interesting and admired the thorough collection that was available.Needless to say, it was quite an adventure, stumbling across a place I have never heard or known about. I would suggest visiting at least once and then telling all your Russian friends about it!

I love that we have this store in San Francisco with great selection of Russian kids books. Great customer service and very cozy interior! They also can special order books which they dont have in the store. I attached photo of books which I could not order online but they were able to get them for me.

Great Russian bookstore. I am learning the language and I loved walking in to a small Russia. All the books and signs are written in Cyrillic! The lady working that day was nice. You hear local people speaking Russian around you. Excellent experience and I plan on going back. Dont worry if the gate is locked during business hours they are open, but you might have to get their attention by ringing the doorbell.
