I loved this store! There was a really good selection of single issues and trades. I liked the women + queer section. I also liked how off to the right, they had single issues packaged together to complete a story.This will definitely be my go to whenever I am in San Fran.

Nicely stocked shop. Lots of titles from various publishers. I assume the two women working were the owners - very welcoming, engaging, and just all-around lovely.

Local neighborhood comic store thats for any comic enthusiastic. I like that the comics are organized by publisher and then alphabetically. It makes it easier to see whats offered. Then all the new releases are together. I find exactly what I needed quickly. Fast and friendly service.

Comics sorted by author! finally! Tons of fanzines and independent comics in stock. There was something called The Graphic Novel Club with interesting recommendations. And last but not least, very friendly staff.

Oh man this place is awesome. So much good stuff. If you are into graphic novels and comic you will go in and not come out. They even have bargain books on racks outside. S truly sublime collection and an SF landmark for 30.

An excellent local comic book store that has a decent subscription service and (limited, but decent) back ordering capabilities and a good selection of back issues. The owner is a conscientious fellow and has written a couple of books on the comic book industry that display a rare insight into a curious, unique, niche market.Worth a visit if youre a local or just passing through!

Nice local comic book with a diverse array of material. It is nicely lit and reminds me of the supermarket with the wide spaces to shop and browse the material. They also have a large collection of independent artist that spotlights local talent. Please enjoy and bring other fans as well.

Has oft repeated good selection and interesting fun comics of PG 13 + new and old school hard to find stuff. Small selection of toys/banks but close to Game Scape and got a few eateries in area around it.

Best comic book store in SF!

My #1 favorite comic shop in the city. Not only do they have a very large range of comics, but they will order anything they dont have. There are a lot of women on staff, which is a welcome thing in a comic book shop -- a lot of places still are not sure how to include women and make their female customers comfortable, but Comix never has that problem.I also have been really enjoying their Graphic Novel of the Month Club -- for $25 a month (or $220 for the whole year) you get a GN chosen by the staff, and are invited to either an in-person or skype interview with the creator(s), as well as a signed bookplate. Its pretty amazing, and 100% worth the money. They also have signings throughout the year with various creators.I love this place and have been coming for years, and will continue for many more.

There is a rich assortment from so-called American comics to great manga. The nearby Alamo Park is also recommended for a wonderful view.

Neighborhood comic book store! Good choice of contemporary comics as well as some vintage pieces (but you have to look through the drawers). Too bad for the service, not very polite and not very interested: I asked if they had the Variant of Detective Comics 1000 and they replied that they had them for sure but somewhere and did not remember where ....

Great comic book store. A variety of issues, many new products, there are non-standard editions, as well as long-released issues. There are not many figurines and geek paraphernalia, but this is still a comic book store in the first place. There are usually few people, so you can safely explore the range without being distracted.
