A 2021 graduate. The college became my foundation as other aspect in my life dimmed. I enjoyed, learned, stumbled, cried, and succeeded in achieving my first college degree at 49 years old. I developed confidence that I didnt know was there. The college, a community gathering spot through out the city. Was there for me in tangible ways. You are given room to fail on your own, You are given support to succeed. It is up to the student to take the road less challenged.

Been to this college since 2015. I hope to graduate by 2020 spring and hopefully will be transferred to UC.In 2015, I took couple of non credit classes in Mission campus. Took a year off and went back to school in 2017 spring, I am Architecture Major so I went to Ocean Campus, Batmale hall was like my home haha. Depend on the major there are different buildings. The way they they teach can be different styles.. our department (Architecture) focused on practical based education. Like we sketched, drew, made models and learned many software for the design and field trips. The college has huge resources that many of us don’t even try to look up. I am the one who likes to use as many facilities as possible. I got many scholarships and I was awarded BOGB. Many of us don’t know about those available funds, however this college offers more than one can know. I am a full time student since 2017 and a full time worker so I was in college only on either Tuesdays/Thursday or Mon/Wed/Fri. I was all busy with classes. I wanted to get involved in many students clubs but I couldn’t manage my time for that ... !!Finally last semester, I met a friend Carlos and he and I was able to start a club. We named it Sports Minded Club. We played soccer every Friday’s. We empowered many students from different countries/communities to play and network with us and with faculty members. We learned about each other better than before and we helped each other in many ways. All I am trynna say is get involved in a club you will know many thing that you did not know before. The weather is pretty chilli tho, oh yeah and windy and it’s cold. I didn’t enjoy that lol. The infrastructures are old and new as well they have improved years to years. College has many majors available for the associate and for the transfer as well... The library is pretty big and there are tons of books, calculators and laptops available. Math lab and ESL centers are my Favorite places because I had to improve my English. Don’t get me wrong but this is one of the best college in California. To look at back, I have had many good memories. I loved all my professors, counselors and friends. I have become so much better than four years ago like academically and professionally both. I have gone to many seminars that organizes all the time; one of my favorite is the entrepreneurship... !!! Can’t wait to see myself a business man one day. Wow, many things to say but not enough words.A huge Thank you to CCSF🙏.

The CCSF bookstore MIGHT have what you need, but they are sadly understaffed and seemingly blindsided by the demands of safety during the pandemic. Despite the drawback of counter ordering of any texts or supplies you may need, the staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The weak link is that they do not have enough runners or cashiers to keep the line moving efficiently, and management hasnt figured out a way to move two of the four registers so they arent unavailable due to safe distance guidelines, and can serve customers faster. Theres got to be an angel or saint out there to spark some good ideas and problem solving. Until then, well, best to have ample time to spare on line.

Excellent learning institution. My instructors are great. Many students from 4-year colleges come here because they cant get the same classes at their schools.

I was here to watch my youngest daughter graduate. She was a honors student there, and she received a full scholarship to study child psychiatry and brain development the University of California at Davis. (I think thats what her major is called.) What impressed me was the number of students who were graduating. I graduated from Cal State Sacramento decades ago, and this graduating class from San Francisco City College looked like it was just as large as mine! Very impressive!

If I could give them zero stars I would. Horrible customer service skills. They were closed and I needed to ask one of them a question. They all decided to act like I was invisible so I stood there and waited till someone came to the door. Finally an employee came to the door to talk to me after maybe 3 employees acted like I wasn’t there.

Very slow and stubborn cashier who has no idea what TIME is. Taking hours to wait for ONE customer ahead of me. This school should hire smarter people who could process time saving suggestion and think while they work! Even DMV works faster than her.

Most professors here are great. Make sure to register for classes as early as possible and check out RateMyProfessor. Free City = free education!!! (For SF residents only)The library can get very hot and the AC is not very good, but luckily its mostly cold in SF -- Good place to study. The bookstore can get packed at the beginning of the semester so make sure you get your books delivered to your house or get there early. You can get free book rentals at the Student Union.Classes are provided in the morning, afternoon, and evening to fit peoples schedules who work or have kids. This is truly a great institution!

The CCSF Bookstore is the go-to, one stop shop for all of your necessary school book needs. The location is great for any unforseen, class utensil needs.Note of advice: The first weeks of class require patience, due to the high volume of critical student needs (books). For other bookstore business, I would suggest waiting until the crowds have dissipated.

I really love this place !! I went with my little sister and we just love all of the knick knacks they have for us students !! they have some beauty products, lots of books, snacks, just basically everything in that store!! If youre confused on a book for class, theyll look up your class, and instructor so you dont get the wrong books!! Also, if youre part of the EOPS program, you can get a 400 grant for alot of the books you need !! And try to used books so theyre alot cheaper !! Hope this helps !!
