I don’t normally leave reviews about places, but this place was particularly bad, I had to say something. I had been scheduled for an appointment with them for a tune up, and waited nearly a month for it, just for them to tell me when I can back for the appointment that they couldn’t fix my bike at all. The guy couldn’t even replace my loose front tire for some vague reason and he was super condescending about it. I waited nearly a month and commuted over an hour on this faulty bike, also had to switch my schedule around just to be told that they couldn’t fix it, in a condescending way. They didn’t even direct me to a competent place where I could actually get my bike fixed. There are better bike places nearby you could go to, like American Cyclery on Stanyan and Frederick (That’s where I had to literally walk my bike to after this place couldn’t help me) they were way nicer and gave me a detailed explanation about what the problem with my bike was. Do better guys!

Brian and Bryce are the best! Such a happy surprise when they called me and told me my new bike cranks were in!! Honestly, there was some miscommunication b/c it wasn’t clear that my bike cranks were ordered (they were backordered) BUT it was such a pleasant surprise!! I couldn’t even buy the cranks myself b/c they kept getting backordered lol...anyways!! I’m super fearful of covid and Bryce let me go straight up front so I didn’t have to wait in the line to get my cranks installed. He finished the job in < 1 hour on a beautiful Saturday 3:30-4:15pm. He even fixed my gears, now they’re shifting as smooth as silk (almost lol). They are so skilled and helpful here!! 100% the best bike shop I’ve been to!! I was riding in gg park < 1 hr after they fixed my bike. Thank you Bryce for making my Saturday so happy 😊😊😊

Full disclosure: I havent bought anything here (yet) but Im writing a glowing review because Im blown away by Spoke Easys on-the-fly-no-appointment help in tweaking small things (seat, lock) on my new Giant Escape 1, purchased downtown. Cheers to Bryce, my new local hero. This type of humble, community business spirit just smacks you in the face these days. In short, if you live in the San Francisco Richmond, support this shop. I know I will.

Solid bike shop with great service, have never had a bad interaction with any of the mechanics. They’ve always been happy to talk through options with me too, which is awesome because I’ve learned a bunch from their team. If you just want to drop your bike and say “fix this”, they’re cool with that too.

Stopped by to see if they’d put air in my tires since they were a bit flat and I was out of the way of my house. They were pretty busy especially in the midst of the shelter in place situation, but took a second to pump up my tires and even address a gear shifting issue I was experiencing! Super awesome and helpful place!

Great shop with a great staff. The folks here set me up with an awesome commuter bike and spent a good amount of time adjusting it to make sure it was the perfect fit. We also bought our kid’s bike here and it was a great experience. I highly recommend buying a bike locally at this shop rather than online because if you need help with repairs, fitting etc they are totally there for you. They are reliable and honest and will help you out!

Thee guys were awesome. Super nice and friendly team. I know they are very busy and booked out so far in advance but they went out of their way to fit me in last minute to get my new bike together and get my steerer cut to my preference. Anson is ready to help the minute you walk into the store. They make you feel welcome right away, and you get the feeling they really know what they are doing. The store is super clean and organized., I have walked in several times just to have them check my gears and they were so nice, the didnt charge., and when I did need them, they completed the job in 1 day! at a reasonable price.

Great bike shop!

I drop in without an appointment to have the handle bars on my rickety old 66 Schwinn Collegiate tightened, as I couldnt make it happen. They spend almost an hour with no parts, but lots of labor trying to tighten worn out parts. They finally get it done and the attempt to not charge me for it. I slipped them a bill anyhow and swore Id be back the next time I needed work done. Nice shop, great guys!Follow up: These guys stand behind their parts and labor, even for strange, repeated tube failures. I cant recommend them enough.

This is the best shop in the bay area! I have been brining my race bikes to Anson for over a year for everything from routine maintenance to crash repairs. He spends time to make sure everything is perfect, monitors all my components and does it all for a fair price. If you care about your bike this is the place to go!

These guys are wonderful. Came in to pump my tires and accidentally broke the valve - they were so helpful in replacing it right away and getting me back on the road ASAP.

Was quoted $100 for a bike assembly (basic commuter style), and given a 1-2 week turnaround timeframe - all of which I was fine with. Came back later in the afternoon that same day, with my boxed bike, and then was told its actually $200 for assembly... Had to lug the box back home, and left very disappointed in the customer service at our neighborhood bike shop. Ill be taking my future business elsewhere.

The associate spent 18 minutes on chatting with another customer while I was waiting for my tire to get replaced.UPD: To be more specific. I came to the store, the associate took my order and started working on it. Then, the other customer walked in and that associate stopped fixing my tire and started talking to him instead of finishing what he already started. Their conversation lasted for 18 minutes while I was standing right there.

Anson is great! Very personable, helpful, understanding and a hard core biker. Definitely, my go to! A great asset to the neighborhood!

Took my bike here regarding about creaking noise. At first i thought it was the bottom bracket, but Mr. Anson later found out it was the chain that was creaking, not the bottom bracket. The Spoke Easy SF shop is my to go now, because of the quality of there service.

They do good work for a fair price. Im glad theyre around.

Adjusted my tire alignment for free. Had to go back for more maintenance (preexisting issues, not related to them adjusting tire) and they tuned my bike up well for a reasonable price ($100)
