My kids and I were well taken care from the beginning to the end of our adventure across the Golden Gate Bridge. Jeremiah (aka J$) with his sidekick, Bungee cord man, helped set us up, provided suggestions, explained the equipment, made adjustments, and answered all of our questions. When my youngest struggled with the gears and was miserable, Sean came out to us to do a bike rescue. He set her up with a new bike in less than 30 minutes on the side of the road where we were located. This team helped make our day the best possible. I cant say enough positive things about this team. Keep up the good work.

Quick and easy registration, and equipment issuing for my family of 4. Cheerful staff instructed our navigation of the Golden Gate Bridge and beautiful Sausalito. And they noticed a parking snafu I was about to commit due to my not knowing the finer points of San Francisco protocol, saving me from a huge goof. A great day and worth the price!

I really enjoyed the bike ride over the Golden Gate Bridge and the service at blazing saddles before and after was very efficient. They will tell you the journey can take 1h30m. Realistically, you will be out all day. Realistically you will also take the ferry back because you will be knackered! Please don’t let that all deter you though because it is a fantastic day out and you won’t regret it!

Biking across the bridge is a memory I’ll cherish forever. It was also incredibly freezing on that bridge and despite the idealistic video meant to “prepare” us before our trek, we were not prepared for 8+ miles, biking hills and barely making it to the ferry with less than 5 minutes to spare. Of course, this isn’t Blazing Saddles fault. But some basic information other than the video of two people constantly smiling and having no issues whatsoever would have been nice. Like the fact that it’s an 8 mile+ ride; there will be difficult hills; you will have to battle “real” bikers on the bridge who are passing you at like 100 miles an hour; and actually giving you ferry departure times as well as estimated travel times to get to the ferry would be really helpful in helping bikers pace themselves. We were lucky to make it to the ferry.Again, no issue with the bike (which was great), the company or the experience. But I recommend giving riders a little more taste of reality before they go off.

I had an awesome experience at Blazing Saddles! I was on the hunt for a kid’s bike for my daughter to learn wheelies. We purchased an SE Big Ripper and Morgan, who helped us pick out the bike, actually gave her a socially distanced lesson inside their massive shop- my daughter was so stoked! The whole process was fun and super efficient. I highly recommend!

Jeff and his team at the Hyde Street location couldnt have been more accommodating. Interestingly I was staying at a 4 Star hotel and was way more impressed with the bike shop and their service than the hotel. I highly recommend Blazing Saddles! Thanks, Jeff for your flexibility, great attitude, and awesome service!

I had an absolutely excellent experience with the guys from Blazing Saddles. I hired a high-end road bike (Specialized Tarmac Di2) and was really impressed with the service of the guys there. All the staff I interacted with were knowledgeable, clearly passionate about everything on two wheels and went out of their way to help me. They were on hand to offer routes that suited my training needs (rather than the usual routes on the city bike paths etc) which I found super useful. I was also unable to store my bike at my hotel due to space restrictions and so the guys offered to keep it at the shop for me... everyday I returned to a cleaned, re-greased bike ready to be ridden. If you are debating where to hire your bike from in San Francisco, look no further.

I needed a XXL size frame and Blazing Saddles had probably one of the few used bikes for sale in the city in that size. They could have let me walk out the door with the bike and been done, but instead gave it a tune up, lube, brake adjustment and offered me my choice of seats. In addition, they gave me a complimentary future tune up and a free tail light, plus a bungee strap for the rear carrier. Owner and staff were all very kind!

Super fast check-in. It took less then 10min to get our bikes. Bikes were really good suited so that it was fun to do our bike the bridge tour. Also bringing the bikes back was a super easy process. The only down thing is that they sold us the bike upgrade without asking us. Be aware for things you dont want to pay for!

Rented a road bike for the day, and they set it up, had it outfitted, and put on my requested pedals in minutes. Let me take the bike for a spin to make sure everything was good, and off I went. Road bike is NOT outfitted for carrying anything more than a water bottle and patch kit - had to bring my backpack to carry the lock I requested. Didnt give me a lot of details of recommended places to go (to be fair, I didnt ask). If you are returning the bike after they close (about 6p), there is one of their stores that has 24 hr returns. Be warned, if you return there, they will give you a receipt for the return, but the hold on your credit card will stay until the other shop processes the payment (and you have to trust that they will charge the correct amount, which they did in my case). Bike was in great condition and I really enjoyed my ride!

...do great road bike hires too. I have hired a Specialized Roubaix Compact road bike - both the manual and electric gear version. Simple booking service that works well. Was able to test ride the bike before taking it away. Friendly staff, great service and options to self-return late if necessary. Have used twice and will use again.

Great location, great service and great bikes! I visited whilst in town for a conference and couldnt resist cycling the Golden Gate Bridge and the headlands the other side. These guys fixed me up with a nice carbon bike, fitted my pedals and lent me a helmet and within minutes I was off exploring. I would definitely recommend.

Read a few indifferent reviews but my experience couldnt have been more positive. I turned up at the wrong outlet (as id book a specific bike online) but they gave me directions, and called ahead to let the right store know I was coming.I hired the Specialized Tarmac with Di2 gears as I was planning a long ride (Point Reyes loop. Its a great, challenging ride of about 80 hilly miles if you fancy it). The bike was ready to go when I got there; the guy did a fit-check and showed me the video (to get to the bridge) as well as offering me his office to change in (they do advertise no changing facilities on their site, so that was good of him. That said, it would be an easy improvement to offer a couple of change rooms and a locker.).Overall I was impressed. The bike was in good condition, a decent puncture kit etc and the chap in the outlet was excellent. The bike was a little pricey, but book online for 20% discount and its worth a day out.

My husband and I rented bikes from Blazzing Saddles to do a self guided tour over the bridge and into Sausalito. The staff was helpful and efficient and overall the renting process was very easy and seamless. Only negative was that the bay-side path was closed when we biked, so some parts of the route werent quite as scenic and we got a little bit confused on where to go at times. Be sure to pay attention to instructions on where to turn and bring a map with you. Sausalito was gorgeous and Blazzing Saddles already arranging ferry tickets for us made the return process a breeze.
