I came in for a very quick decision since my husband was waiting outside, and wanted some recommendations on Napa Valley wine that was not too sweet and not too dry so my husband would also enjoy it. The man who greeted me was on point and gave me 2 wines he recommended. One was The Turley 2018 Zinfandel, and the other for a great price was the 2016 Castle Rock Winery Cabernet Sauvignon. I wish I asked for the gentlemans name, since he was very knowledgeable and prompt with his assistance!

Disagree with some of these other reviews: the owner/staff here are lovely. They have a great selection of beer, sake, spirits, mixers, and ICE CREAM to my surprise (I’ve never seen so many it’s it flavors in one spot). A handful of solid wines at varying price points, too. Great neighborhood staple.

Great prices, great selection and friendly people too. Located close to my hotel and just found an awesome pizza joint across the street. Really feels like a neighborhood store and thats a good thing. Been in business for 23 years and the above are some of the reasons for that. Give them a shot you wont be disappointed.

Same as the rest. Maybe the worst, they close early at random times. Run out of stock often and most employees are too tired to even offer a simple hello to regular customers. My job is hard too, but I at least try to be professional and courteous. Even friendly when I dont feel like it always. I have often felt looked down upon just for grabbing a late night beer here. Go elsewhere. It will be cheaper anyway

Advice - Walk one block in any direction to any other store and save money. Not to mention, they are the rudest people I have ever encountered in San Francisco. The staff is not friendly and if you have a question about anything, they give you an eye roll or keep talking on the phone while you checkout. This city has too many other great options with nice people to waste your time stepping foot inside this place.

What a rip off. Half their products are double price any other store in SF. All the promotions or deals they so infamously call are just unsold red wine or cheap red wine. If theres dust, you know what that means. Expensive!
