Have a drink at this small but full of beers spot. They even got Tap Cider, a great variety of Canned Craft Beer from breweries from the California Area.In our country, when we go to a tap room, we have to try every beer available. The owner was very nice in understanding our tradition so he gave us a lot to try, that is why we left 25% tip over the full ticket.Great time here! You should definitely visit this place.

Just out walking and ran into Liquid Gold. This place was great! The bartender was very friendly and attentive. He made recommendations on my beer flight. Liquid Gold had quite a selection of bottles available for sale to-go as well, which was great. I was looking for Pliny, and when they didnt have it, the bartender helped my find it nearby!

Great craft beer selection with very friendly staff. Great place to go for a pint or 3. The large TV screen of drinks made it really easy to order and its nice that the menu is always up to date.

From IPAs to Kolsch to Stouts, youll find something here to fit your taste.There are also canned beers that can be bought to go. Dont ignore the coolers in the back.The bartenders know their beer and will make sure you find something you like. Yeah, theyll give you some samples too.Theres a TV in there which is usually playing sports, so you wont miss a pitch or hit at the Giants game.In short, if you love beer in a friendly atmosphere, youll love Liquid Gold.

My go-to bottle shop in the neighborhood, their hours are pretty narrow but always worth supporting them. Always have an excellent selection of beer and quick and easy pickup. Really appreciate how safe they operate during these times and I can’t recommend them enough!

Quite possibly San Franciscos best beer barAs a craft beer lover, I can honestly say that this is one of the best places in all of the city to enjoy an impressive selection of fine craft beer on tap as well as an equally impressive selection of bottles available for takeaway or consumption on premise. The bar is spotless and has ample seating and has a couple of big screens for catching the big game, or choosing your next your next round. On my last visit, I enjoyed some very special barrel aged beers that were no longer in production and typically very hard to find on draft. The only disadvantage is that there is no food option - with only some bar snacks on offer. However they will let you bring your own food or even have delivery options & recommendations for pairing your beer with and your dining cravings. Will definitely be back on my next trip to The City.

Cool place to grab a beer. I was shopping across the street and happened to see this bar so thought I stop in. It was during basketball finals and of course warriors won!!! Bar went crazy and the bartenders gave out small free drink yo everyone as we all cheered. Very cool vibe.

If I could give this place 100 stars, I would! The staff are always awesome, friendly, and super helpful (without being pretentious). The bar is dog friendly and there are often awesome dogs there. 30 beers on tap and a fantastic bottle selection. Not only a lot of beers, but an intelligently curated selection. I cant think of a single thing that I dont love about this place. Before we moved away, we went here all the time. If youre in SF and you love beer, you MUST go here.

New spot serving 30 different beers on tap. I had a flight for $12 and a glass for $7 while watching the World Series game. Two out of the five beers I tried were good. They also have small bar bites, which I think come from the Chinese restaurant next door: salt and pepper tofu, spicy chicken wings, and salt and pepper chicken. I had the tofu and it was good. They have only one bathroom, which made for a long line. Would I come back again? Maybe if they added more food and more bathrooms.

This was absolutely one of the greatest places we visited in San Francisco. The owner Tim is kind and interested in us and our country and taste in beer. He has one amazing beer after the other on tap.

The owner is incredibly friendly and its a terrific place to catch a game or just hang out before you get your grocery shopping on at TJs. Theres free snacks and you can order delicious chicken wings, which the bar sources from the Chinese restaurant next door. A new business coming in and helping out the surrounding businesses? Cant beat that!

By far one of the most exciting places for a true beer enthusiast. The beer selection is outshined only by the fantastic staff. Always on point with recommendations and very well informed about what they have available (not always the case throughout the city). A couple of the bartenders are even brewers themselves and can answer from the most basic to the most in depth question you might think of. To top it all off, the owner is a one of the nicest guys Ive ever met. He has mastered what gets lost slot these days: knowing how to talk to people. Wouldnt recommend anyone go anywhere else for a great time with great beers. Cheers!

As something of a beer expert (beer blogger for nearly a decade, written for HuffPo, etc), I can say with opinionated authority that this is one of the best beer bars in San Francisco. They specialize in the best of local Bay Area and American beers spanning styles from sours to hoppy IPA to barrel-aged stouts. Liquid Gold is both a beer bar and a bottle shop. You have the option of buying bottles and taking them home and in frequently do. The rest selection changes frequently enough that you can come twice a week and never have the same beer twice but always find something you like.

This is one of my favorite taprooms in the city, but I dont get over there very often because I normally stay in North Beach and it isnt super convenient to get over to Liquid Gold. However, I was staying downtown on my last trip and made the easy walk over. The selection of beer is always top notch and this visit was no different. I had a hazy double from Fieldwork in Berkley called Virtual Planetoid that was so good I had two, which is pretty unusual when I go to a taproom, because I like to try as many things as possible. The vibe is great and I could have sworn that the playlist that was playing while I was there was something I made for myself a few years ago. Great shop, great beer, great bottleshop. Go and you will not be disappointed.
