I purchased a bathroom vanity and it came with these big cracks after months of wait. Customer service does nothing but read the script and told me there is no way they can help.

Great visit hands down and I have to say the store hasnt been running very well In the last couple of years. Turns out they have a new manager and hes all for the people and service. Its soMuch more inviting! The employees are just on it its incredible! The new general manager they have is definitely over qualified in my professional opinion but hes so good!!! The experience I just experienced was out of this world!! Great Way to turn it around pottery barn!

I was looking for a large sectional couch online and by chance got to chat with Sasha, the assistant man., of the San Fran store. He was not only very knowledgeable about the product lines but he called me back immediately after I made a mistake in the design. He canceled the order and made sure the new one was 100% correct and was cordial the entire time. I would highly recommend this store to anyone that wants exceptional care.

I visit Chestnut Street whenever Im in San Francisco visiting a friend. Pottery Barn is a few doors down from Le Marais, our favorite breakfast spot on Chestnut. After breakfast well walk to Pottery Barn to check things out. On our past visit we were looking to refurnish an apartment. We didnt ask for help, but noticed a young man moving around the store greeting visitors and making himself available. He looked awfully young, like maybe he was a college student collecting some extra hours. The following morning I realized that I had forgotten to take a picture of a white sofa we were interested in. We returned to the Pottery Barn again to check it out in greater detail. This time the same young man approached us and a conversation developed. We found out later he was actually Pottery Barns General Manager. His name is Austin Stephenson. The questions we asked required a thorough knowledge of finishes, fabrics, lighting fixtures, sofas, chairs, end tables and lead times. Austin answered every question to our satisfaction without hesitation. We spent some time looking at images on the Design Center computer. It was a very positive experience. Austin printed out an estimate of the products we were interested in purchasing before we left. If you want to see, touch, feel and experience excellence in both products and presentation, and the way youre treated, the Pottery Barn on Chestnut delivers. If you see someone who looks too young to be on staff, that will probably be Austin. Ill include some photos of our visit. One, or more of them might feature Austin. He looks like he loves his job, his merchandise, his store and most importantly, his customers. Were fans.

Rode my kick scooter across town to get here and was happy for the fresh and alkalizing spa water! Anyway, I had come for a gift card and was greeted very pleasantly so I thought to relax on an inviting sofa! After being invited in, I sat next to a mother and across from her grown daughter who was relaxing in the identical couch. We all started talking about how awesome the couch was, and also the decor around the couch which was very amazing. After a few minutes, my gift card transaction was ready for my approval and so then had to leave. So I said my goodbyes and got back on the kick, ready for the journey back across town!

Came here over the weekend to purchase a tree. An old white lady behind the counter was unbelievably rude. All I asked is if I could get a box to place an artificial tree I planned to purchase on display. This seemed to be so against the grain and troubling for her. She refused to check, kept going round and round as if I was the pain for asking for a box while proceeding to condescend. Mind you there were hardly any people in the store. Finally a male colleague went to the back and found the original box so that I could pack the tree. The lady was awful (probably bigoted as this is the Marina), clearly only likes to cater to doing as little as possible and being unhelpful. Dont come here. Place is overpriced and they dont believe in customer service - just being jerks.

Love this place. Very modern furniture with very reasonable price. We just got a sofa from them. Its great and not expensive.

Good products. Bad location.

Bought some sheets here recently. Employees were very helpful in offering advice about what kind to buy and very friendly. One thing to note is that its not a particularly large store -- while they did have a decent selection of home goods, they dont have a wide variety. For example, they only had white or cream for the sheets I was looking for. Online, they have many more colors. But dont hesitate to ask an employee if they have an item, because they do have some more in the back in storage.

This is the best place to buy furniture. If you need contemporary furniture, dont even think about any other place.

I have just been scammed by the Pottery Barn COMPANY/WEBSITE! I ordered products in MARCH, I did not recieved it by the time and I have been trying to contact them since the beginning of April to request my money back!!! I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE, they will take your money and not delivery you anything! Stay away from the website!!

The best place for finding things for my home

Very good customer service; they also do free design consultations! I called looking for stemless champagne flutes that were no longer available on the website; the store associate found 12 for me in the store and they were on sale since they were being discontinued; she also offered to call the other stores if I wanted more than 12.

Pottery Barn has always impressed me with the low quality of their products (compared with the high cost). Recently I decided to give them another chance. I ordered a set of pub chairs, which were to be delivered. A couple days after placing the order I called them to cancel the order. I was told that the order had already shipped and was due to be delivered in SIX DAYS and that they had no way of stopping the delivery! And that I would not get my refund until after the items were returned to them. Sure enough, six days later three of the four chairs were delivered, but we caught the UPS guy in time to refuse delivery. However, the next day there was the delivery of the fourth chair while we were not home. I had to call Pottery Barn to schedule a pick-up of the item. Meanwhile, it has now been TWO WEEKS since I cancelled the order and still no refund. I have had to call VISA to rectify the situation (Of course VISA is very prompt with their response, fortunately).

BUYER BEWARE!I ordered a bed that was supposed to be delivered between 09/10-09/17. It is over two weeks late, every time I have called customer service they say I will receive a call back which never happens. I had to wake up very early this morning because my delivery was supposed to arrive between 7am-9am. It’s already past the delivery window and I still don’t have the bed. This has been such a horrible experience, save your time and money for a store that actually cares.

Customer service was very unhelpful. The lady behind the counter today was extremely unapologetic and just brushed away any questions we had. Save your money and go elsewhere

Nice store for home items. This is not a particularly large Pottery Barn, so the selection on display is not as huge as in some of their other stores, but they have good products available.

This is a lovely store with nice, friendly staff. The parking on Chestnut St is really hard but once you’ve got a spot, this store is right in the middle of the shopping zone and worth a visit.

I always find good deals on clearance items or floor sample items.

Ordered custom furniture. Was supposed to be delivered in 6 weeks but took 10 weeks. The slipcovers didn’t fit properly, the couch wasn’t padded - literally hard edged - and it was poorly finished. The storage ottoman was also poorly finished and the top and bottom fit together didn’t well.I’ve come to learn there are many problems with furniture made at Pottery Barn and IF my furniture would be remade it would take months - MONTHS. Now more than 3 weeks later I’m still waiting and hoping I’ll see my $$$ again.Buyer beware. I’ll never set foot in a Pottery Barn again.
