Absolutely loved this salon! This was my first time visiting and I plan to come again in the future. This place had lovely people and a wonderful environment. The salon was extremely clean and was consistently being cleaned as I was there. Everyone was polite and kind which made me feel welcome from the beginning. I had the pleasure of receiving a haircut from Roy. I absolutely recommend him and loved the final product! It is very apparent that he loves his job and truly enjoys working on hair. My hair is naturally very curly which can be hard to work with. Roy had no issues with my hair and seemed to have a blast doing it! He took his time and asked me plenty of questions to understand what I wanted for my final hair result. During the haircut he was very thorough in explaining the choices he was making and why they were best for my hair. My hair has never looked better. You will not regret coming here!

Ive been seeing Peter for roughly 16 years, and I love him SO much. Hes truly an artist. Hes thoughtful, perceptive, and listens carefully when youre describing what you want for hair color, highlights, and cuts. I get highlights from him and he carefully and methodically works on my hair as if hes weaving or painting. Hes an incredible artist. If you want a colorist who has an amazing eye for blending colors and precision, hes the one! And, his shampooing is absolutely the best -- I would go to him to just have my hair washed! He washes your hair carefully, and really takes his time to massage your scalp. I have chronic migraine headaches and sometimes if I happen to have one, his scalp massaging takes the edge off it and it often fades. He could be a massage therapist. I cant say enough about how talented and perceptive he is. Hes also a miracle worker if you have a hair disaster. The results are always so incredibly beautiful. I always get compliments from people about the color. Hes the best colorist Ive ever had. I had tons before him, but then when a friend recommended him to me, that was it!

I absolutely adore Blake Charles Salon. Lisa and Michael have upped my hair game in the best way and have become lifelong friends. The atmosphere is great, clean. Would love to see a bit more circulation, maybe even AC, in the salon as it can get a bit warm.

Ive been going to see Stevie for nearly 16 years now for hair coloring. 16 years says everything. Shes a gifted hair colorist. I cant imagine life without her. I highly recommend Stevie.

Stevie is the best!!! She really listens when I talk about what Im looking for but then has suggestions to make the color even better. I walk in feeling drab and dull and leave with fantastic color every time. I highly recommend her and the salon in general for its customer service and always making sure clients are safe and well cared for.

I cannot recommend this salon enough; youll be in good hands here. I got my untouched, very long black hair colored by Lisa to a pink-tone balayage and cut by Roy. I cannot stop gushing about it. Both Lisa and and Roy were attentive to my requests, and perhaps more importantly, were educational in what they thought would look good and would be good for my hairs health. Roy asked for my input on how I wanted to wear my future hair, and explained why he was making certain cuts to give my hair more dimension and volume. Lisa analyzed the pictures I brought as color references and explained to me what was achievable in the first and second sitting; she also does not use heat, which I think has been great for maintaining my hairs health. My hairs texture feels no different than before it was colored even though it was dyed approximately 6 hours over 2 session. The result was pleasantly surprisingly natural for my ask of pink hair. Stations are cleaned regularly, and everyone wears masks all the time.

I just got my brows done and a hydrafacial at this beautiful salon by Steve and couldnt be happier with the results. Steve is so professional, detail oriented and extremely talented it was a pleasure getting services done by him and Id definitely recommend him! The salon is gorgeous and everyone was so friendly.

I recommend Blake Charles Salon to anyone looking for a new style or someone who has questions about what to try. They were very helpful and recommended some great products to keep my hair healthy.

Be cautious! Do not recommend color services at this location! I was told a different price than the one listed on the website. If your hair color doesn’t turn out even after they tell you they can do it ...they may cut/trim the parts that do not turn out to the desired outcome without telling you.

Hair cut was good but left with excessively greasy hair… will probably have to wash it tonight.

Its been 2 weeks since my visit and m still in love with my hair. I had a great experience at Joseph Cozza from the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out. The reception staff was welcoming, friendly and attentive. But I have to say the highlight of my visit was the quality of the staff working on my hair. Lisa is a very experienced and professional hair colorist who took the time to discuss with me options that would not only improve my hair color in a way that would complement and highlight my complexion, but also help improve the quality of my hair and subtly blend a bit of grey hair here and there. She asked many questions to make sure there was nothing done I did not like or want done to my hair. Her work and Jeannettes assistance made me feel 100% comfortable even though this was my first visit to the salon as I was well aware of what was happening every step of the way. The end result was amazing hair color. The icing on this already wonderful cake was the also amazing haircut I got from Sunny - at just the right length and with the perfect amount of layers. Sunny also took the time to discuss the things I would/would not want done to my hair and proposed options that would complement my hair color and benefit my overall hair look. Joseph Cozza Salon has many professional hair stylists, they have a great eye, and are extremely attentive. Most stylists try to juggle a dozen clients at once and defer most of the work to their assistants but they are very hands-on. They color corrected my hair and executed a beautiful ombre

I went to this salon about 1 month ago and had an amazing experience. I had highlights done by Linda and a haircut by Maritza. I am a very low maintenance hair person, and with this in mind, both ladies did an amazing job; I can wake up and be out the door in 15 minutes and still get compliments on my hair.I first had an in-depth consultation with Linda where she took the time to find out what I was looking for (covering some grays while giving my hair a boost of life), what kind of job/work environment I have (conservative), how willing am I to maintain my color/roots (not often), etc. She was very honest with her suggestions and took in not only my idea of what I wanted but also what would blend into my natural hair color as it grows out. In the end, we decided to go with an all-over caramel highlight, which I love.BUT, before Linda started on my hair, Maritza came over to have a consultation not only with me about my haircut but also consulted with Linda about what she was going to do with the color. This double consultation really impressed me because it gave me a good feeling that I would be walking out of the salon with a color and cut that would compliment each other, which they do amazingly well.I frequently walk out of salons less than impressed with my cut because many stylists take a look at me and assume I have straight Asian hair and cut it with that in mind, but the fact is that I naturally have slightly wavy hair. Even without me saying this, Maritza immediately noticed and gave me some suggestions of what would compliment this slight wave given that I wanted to keep my hair semi-long and ready to go in the mornings. In the end, Maritza did an amazing rendition of beach ready hair that brought out the best of the highlights and with layers framing my face in a very flattering manner.I highly recommend both Linda and Maritza and cant be happier with my hair, which I get compliments on nearly every day!

She is truly an amazing artist and I look like a movie star every time I leave the salon and for months after. I get compliments on my color every week. I got my hair done by Joann and I absolutely loved my experience. When I got there, I was welcomed with warm greetings and happy smiles. I showed her a picture of how I wanted my hair color to be and she did an amazing job!!! The compliments I got on her work were awesome. I would definitely go there again. Ive been seeing my colorist Stevie for almost 10 years now shes the absolute best! only gave four stars because the salon doesnt do a blow dry for you you have to blow dry your hair yourself

I just went to Cozza for highlights and cut. Whew - thank God I found this place and have a decent head of hair for which I am now getting loads of compliments. I came to Cozza because my friend and hair stylist extraordinaire (John Paul) is there now and I have been going to him for years and so happy to reconnect. He hooked me up with a great (I mean great) colorist also in Malia. Thank you thank you! Look nowhere else than this salon for great results!

Update 12/25/14:Had an appointment with Lisa yesterday. Alas, she remains a hair color expert/magician, as well as a wonderful person and hard worker. Go to this salon!-I highly recommend this salon. I just went yesterday and love the way my hair looks now.Lisa is my colorist here. Ask for her; she is wonderful! She really knows her stuff. I never really know exactly what I want before I come in, and I can always trust her to choose the perfect colors for my hair and do an awesome job. When she gives me highlights, she takes extra care to make sure that the color will be low-maintenance and still look great after a while since I only come once or twice a year. I have naturally dark asian hair, so the extra color gives it some needed flash and depth. I get compliments all the time and always tell my friends to come here! Lisa really takes pride in her work and tells you exactly what she will do to your hair; if it wont look amazing, she wont do it-- and she takes care not to damage your hair, too. On top of that, she is super sweet and always in a good mood!

Sarah has really perfected the hair I dreamed of with her own flavor of grace and subtlety. She gets it and shes skilled enough to bring a shared vision alive. I get a color, cut, and conditioning treatment every 6 weeks or so and Im just so happy. I love that this salon is so small and intimate but still has like 8 seats. A pretty good and calm vibe though I wish they had a little more interesting music playing.

I am very particular with getting my hair dyed and have some past horror stories to share. I did not dye my hair for a couple of years and was finally ready to step into the world of color again. I had heard some amazing things about Joann at Joseph Cozza Salon and was lucky enough to get an appointment with her. This was two years ago and she has not disappointed me once in that time. From Ombre to a more natural color with high lights or low lights she is able to do it all. I love her honesty and her ability to choose color that really compliments me. This is my go to salon. Ive been going here for years for color and hair cut. As soon as you enter into the salon, you know that you are in for a good experience. The staff is friendly and professional. Stevie Santos does the color. I like that she takes a consultative approach. She knows color, is creative, and is very personable. I always get a lot of compliments. Katie started cutting my hair a couple of months ago. She is very good too!

If you are NOT old!! then avoid going to this hair salon! by saying old! I mean above 75-80 years old!!.I found this hair salon based on the review rate! and wanted to try it!! which was a big mistake!! the salon was full of old & rich women!! no one was less than 70!!! !thats it!!The quality of work is ZERO!! They charged my for temporary hair color $150!!!!after she started dying my hair! I realized its temporary which was too late!!(temporary hair color needs a labor work around 5 minutes & everyone is able to do that) .I do not call her name (hairstylist). But I got my lesson!. stay away from this salon if you are less than 80 years old!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just had the most beautiful day at Joseph Cozza Salon - every detail of the day was perfect. I started the day with a tint by Anita, and afterwards had a cool shampoo by Aria (cool at my request). Tracy gave me a wonderful pedicure and I it feels like Im walking on air. Then the Keratin treatment - I am having shoulder surgery this week and knew that in the coming weeks I would not be able to blow dry my hair, which leaves it frizzy. The results are amazing and the staff could not have been more helpful. What a great way to spend a rainy day!

Im very particular when it comes to my hair color I went from brown to red a couple of years ago. Red is a difficult color to get just right. My colorist, Charlie went on maternity leave and I panicked. She knew just what to do so that my color was just right. After going to a couple other colorist, I tried Lisa. She is amazing. My red hair looks beautiful, I always get compliments. Lisa is a true artist. She knows how to tweak my color from visit to visit. I go often. Lisa also knows how to baliage in just the right places to give my hair beautiful depth of color. Sometimes combining low lights with highlights. She squeezes me in her appointment book for last minute bookings and always takes special care,making me feel special. Never rushing through a process. Shell even set up a blow dry with one of the assistants. I never feel pressured to buy products. When Lisa really loves a product I trust her word and will purchase it. Shes the best colorist Ive gone to in the Bay Area and Ive done my rounds.

Jo Ann Custodio is my Cozza colorist. She works magic with highlights and low lights as well as knowing her products and advising to keep my hair in great condition. I visited Josheph Cozza Salon for the very first time this month and saw Joann Custodio to add some highlights. She was completely honest about what might or might not happen with my hair because I previously colored my hair months before. Because Im not hair savvy I left the color and style up to her and I absolutely love how it turned out! Best of all she wasnt intimidated with the abundance amount of hair that I have, its long and thick. Ive received several compliments at the gym, work, and at restaurants and plan on seeing Joann on a regular basis. Joann is professional, courteous, and friendly. I highly recommend seeing her if want to add some color to your hair.

I went to Ricky for a color service and asked for a root touch up and few bright copper highlights on my dark brown hair. I left two hours later with my entire head colored dark mahogany and so much red around my face that I looked like a red head. The color in general was totally wrong for me. I am quite astounded that Ricky thought it was a good choice. I am not sure how the communication failed, but I spent two hours and another $150 dollars correcting it at my regular hairdresser in Berkeley on the day after the service. I should have had him fix it on the spot, but was rather stunned and thought it might grow on me by the time I got home. Instead, I realized that it was a completely inappropriate and unflattering look for me.I think Ricky might be a better choice for a younger, more adventurous customer, but will not be returning to him for my own hair.

Its a very nice establishment. Ive been here many times, and though its pricy, Ive thouroughly enjoyed my experiences here. The staff in incredibly friendly and the atmosphere is very pleasant. While you wait for your appointment, they have an area where they have Madelines, coffee, flavored water, magazines, sofas and chairs, and a TV that plays different runway shows. The only issue that Ive had is the price and the location, since its a bit of a drive from where I live. Other than that, its a very nice salon.

Ive been coming to Joseph Cozza for years and Ive always had a great experience. The front desk is always really sweet and the people working here seem genuinely happy and are very friendly, pretty down to earth for such an upscale salon. Their awesome esthetician, Magi, is my main reason for coming here.Magi is the waxing queen! Shes extremely thorough, efficient, and makes the whole experience pretty pleasant. Shes super gentle on the skin and has both hard and soft wax, shell use whichever is best for the particular type of hair growth and skin type. You can tell she really loves her work, which is great because Ive had waxers before who just didnt seem very into it or didnt really know what they were doing.If youre new to waxing or nervous or picky at all about it, definitely check Magi out for sure.

Joanne Custudio has been coloring my hair for the past 5 years and is absolutely amazing! She takes my hair through the seasons, adding and taking away low lights - bringing me to full platinum blonde for the summer. In the beginning, she taught me how to communicate what I want - but now - I just hand my head over to her on a silver platter without a word. I love, love, love this adorable woman and feel so pampered in her capable hands.

Stevie is the queen of highlights! Ive moved around the country a lot, and been to a lot of salons, and Stevie is brilliant. EVERY time I leave the salon a stranger compliments my hair, and asks where I got such lovely highlights done. She really takes her time an gets to know her clients too. If you are a blonde, Stevie is the girl for you!

I get my haircut from Amy H, and always get a great cut! She really knows what I like! And she doesnt pressure me to buy products or have my hair dyed by her or someone else. And she is great to talk with!

Honestly if you want the assurance that no matter what youll leave the salon absolutely in love with your hair color, then always book with Lisa Fukuda, Shes genuinely the only person I trust with my hair and its so nice to feel confident about booking an appointment and actually excited for the day rather than nervous. I always look to Coco as well for my blowouts. Ive tried so many Drybars and yet no one has been able to fully imitate what Coco can do. Hands down my favorite salon and the only salon I will go to for as long as I live in the bay area.

I have had Lisa as my colorist before, and I got nothing but compliments from my friends after my appointment with her. She makes sure she is doing exactly how you want your hair to look, and even when you dont know, she will make expert suggestions.I originally wanted ombre hair, but I wasnt sure if it was professional for my summer internship, so Lisa suggested I get the sombre look, or soft ombre. The sombre look was a perfect suggestion because its subtle enough to be professional in a work environment. I will definitely go back to her when I want to get my hair colored again--shes the best!

Not only is this salon a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, but Lisa made me feel comfortable enough to give her complete control on what she wanted to do to my hair. My original hair dresser opened up her salon in Walnut Creek (a big congratulations to her). The commute however, was no longer bearable. I was disappointed and non interested to go anywhere else :-( I stumbled across this hidden beauty in the heart of Union Square off of Maiden Lane! Walking into Joseph Cozza Salon was a breathe of relief. The salon is quite chic, the front desk was very charming and accomodating, the stylist were are all very stylish in their own walks of life! This salon is a one stop shop to Beautify yourself from head to toe, inside and out! I was assigned the colorist chair of Jo Ann. An exotic beauty herself. Very sincere and sweet! She gives her honest and expertise opinion on what she feels best fits her clients. My hair is alive again ;-) Thank you Joseph Cozza for sense of contenment!

I always enjoy my hair appointments at Joseph Cozza Salon. I usually go just for color. Ive become a faithful client to Joann. I have fine dark silky Asian hair and she has do an awesome job and Ive come to trust her expertise in recommending what color would go well for my hair and skin tone. Recently we tried something different and went with trying to achieve latest style Natural Ombre blonde. Since Asian hair has a tendency to pull in orange she explained very clearly that to get the blonde we want would be a process an that I would have to be patient and consistent. After 4 sessions in 6 week increments we achieved our goal. I get tons of compliments on my hair. I highly recommend her to all my friends.

Scheduled my appointment for 5:45, the salon cancelled my appointment 5 minutes before my appointment because the hairstyler had to leave.That shows 0 commitment. Especially for a high end salon like this. Unacceptable and disrespectful of my time.

My experience at Joseph Cozza Salon was outstanding! My wedding is 3 weeks away, and I decided it was time to spruce up my appearance. I told Lisa Fukuda a general idea of what I wanted after looking at pictures of her previous work, and the results were magical! The full balayage is her artwork that I get to take with me everywhere. Lisas assistant Jeannette was indispensable throughout the morning, and Coco styled my hair in beachy curls like I always wish I could.But, my friends, it doesnt stop there; it was also my first-ever eyebrow service. Magi, my esthetician, was very pleasant and professional. She transformed my brows from wild-child to sleek and sophisticated! I had no idea that the experience could be so painless and rewarding.I have never felt so cared for at a salon. Lisa even asked me what kind of water I have at home to make sure there wouldnt be any mineral deposits to ruin my hair! I never had dreams of a princess wedding, but I left feeling like one :)

Every time I sit in Lisa Fukudas chair, I know I will leave the salon crying- internally. I hate what she does to my hair. Wait, wait, wait- but that is only temporary. About two days later, I would love love love love my new head of hair. Its just everytime Im in her chair, she does something drastic and Im just in shock. I trust this girl so much that I let her do whatever she wants with my hair and the end result is always gorgeous. You know how you walk with that extra umph of confidence when you have amazing hair- thats how I feel everyday. I went through an entire year (got preggo) without having my hair colored and still looked amazing.I love Lisa because she one amazing Colorist but most importantly one incredible human being. Ive had this girl experiment with my head since she was 16 years old attending both high school and cosmetology school at the same time!!! My first hair color ever was Dana Skully red (The X-Files) and I am now rambling.Love Amy- let her frame your face!!!! Trust her scissors!!!! She does whatever she wants with my hair and I love it every time. My mommy cut does not look like a mommy cut at all and I am looooving it.Love Tracy- let her take care of your nails- they will be soft and beautiful!!!! I swear this woman does not age at all. Maybe when youre sitting in her chair, ask her what her secret is.OMG go see Lisa..she made my Asian hair blonde like Elsa from Frozen..who does that????

I found my way to Joseph Cozza a few years ago. My team of colorist Lisa Fukuda her assistant Coco and Stylist Breege are the best . They are extremely talented and lovely people to spend time with . The transformation has been very exciting for me- the color with tint and special effects (balayage ombré ) combination is stunning . My hair has never been in better shape. Lisa always knows the right treatment at the right time. Breege keeps my hair shaped with great movement and volume. I always walk out of the salon feeling amazing !

I wish I could give 10 stars to the 3 gals at Joseph Cozza that keep me looking and feeling my best!I have always gone to Lisa F. for my hair color. She is seriously the best in the biz and I completely trust her skills and instinct. Over the years I have wanted the full spectrum of hair color. From darker than my natural to really, really blonde, and everything in between. No matter what my heart desires, Lisa makes it happen and MAKES IT LOOK AMAZING. She is constantly taking new classes and getting certified in the latest hair color trends. If you are looking for balayage, she is the San Francisco balayage queen! Thats actually her specialty, and if you havent heard of the technique, you should look it up. It takes so much artistry and skill, the colorist basically hand paints all of your hair. The final outcome is so beautiful and incredibly low maintenance.For my haircuts and hairstyles, I only trust Amy H. She is so good at listening to exactly what I want and delivering just that. She too will make sure my haircut is beautiful and low maintenance (thats what Im all about!). Even months after my cut, my hair still looks great thanks to Amy. She also does awesome updos and styles for special occasions. She is a joy to chat with and I always look forward to my visits with her!If you time your appointments right and are lucky enough to get a mani/pedi while at the salon, make sure you go to Tracy! She is the best at what she does and is super sweet. Her mani/pedis always come out flawless. And if you are feeling like you want something different, she does beautiful little nail art designs too! A mani/pedi with Tracy is always such a relaxing and rejuvenating experience and totally worth treating yourself to!!

Very disappointing, I went there very depressed cause my hair was red after having a color that ruined it completely, the guy called Ricky I think he told me that theres nothing to do about my hair, I left the skin very sad and went to another salon on post at and they helped a lot in 3 hours I got the color that I wanted with no more red on my hair .
