An adorable shop thats been around for 3 decades in lower pac heights. Lots of gorgeous, unique jewelry pieces to choose from. Dont miss this little gem!
I have patronized this store on at least 3 occasions. Even bought some items that weren’t cheap!! But today will be the last time I ever do business with this lady again. I experienced everything I read in these reviews. I got the same horrible rude treatment. At first I was embarrassed because she was rude to others next door. Then when I didn’t buy anything today - she started in on me! I said Wow - is this is how you treat “friends?” She was angry because I didn’t buy anything. Ummm, isn’t that my choice??Dear Owner - you needn’t reply to this review. I will never be back! Thanks for the memories when you were once nice and genuinely helpful.
The owner harassed us on sight and kept hard selling us on anything we looked at. Thats fine. business has to be tough. But despite walking in respectfully with my son and taking care to point out to him to not pick things up without help, the owner pointedly then told us that it was not worth having children in the store unless they made a large purchase. I herded my son out explaining that the woman said something not very nice. She became indignant and replied that, it is my choice.Well she makes the choice very easy for people to not shop there.I understand if we break something that we are responsible for buying it but telling someone they are required to buy something when they have a child is akin to telling someone that they have to buy something because they are old, or overweight, or too tall. Yes it is her choice to run her business the way she chooses but I also have a choice to advise people not to support businesses that are discriminatory and rude to customers, especially without provocation.
I walk in looking for beads. I smile and say hello to the store clerk who snapped at me and said “If you’re not planning to buy anything get out”. I was like disillusioned by that remarked. I responded “ I’m looking for beads with a 1/4 hole and she then gets up and closes the front door and talks about not wanting any drunk people walking in. She points out beads with a 1/16 hole and I just said “no thank you you don’t have what I’m looking for. She says “Ok get out” . I kept thinking if I was on Candid Camera or some prank vid. I felt sad thinking maybe she was a racist at me. But now I know she treats everyone like this. Never patronize a business that treats you bad or judges you because of the way you look.
Wow! I have never experienced such terrible customer service in my life! I walked in the store, the female employee working in the store asked“ Can I help you ? “ I replied “I’m not sure, I’ve just always wanted to come in here and look around” her loud response “I’m cleaning up in here so if your not buying anything GET OUT”. I am totally blow away with this and replied wow that was so rude I’m definitely not wasting my money in here! She then runs me out of the store screaming you can’t take the truth in the streets. I still can’t believe that behavior from a grown adult. So inclusion, sure her beads and shells are nice, but you can buy the same basic stuff anywhere and not deal with a truly horrible individual. I will never be back and recommend everyone do the same! Also I would like to point out it’s so interesting that every review but one is about how terrible the owner is? But yet she continues to treat her customers like dirt.
Its quite a shame. A decent selection of beads and antique jewelry. The owner however has the social skills of caged animal. She isnt in it for the art, shes in it for the money. She wont be getting any of mine.
The finest selection of beads and jewelry that I have seen. Nice shell collection too. I liked Susan, she is talented. A real artist.
Im only giving this store 1 store because zero isnt available. That the store was cluttered and the beads overpriced was bad enough. The owner has a horrible attitude and, even with me being an African American woman, made sure I knew of her love for Trump. That in itself wouldnt dissuade me from buying but her patronizing, stank attitude had me leave without buying anything. She had nerve to call me rude for deciding to not spend my money there. I hope she goes out of business.
The admittedly amazing selection of beads is not worth dealing with the offensive woman that runs the shop. Here is the highlight from my interaction with her after I picked up a necklace and was preparing to try it on:Your necklace looks terrible [aka my personal necklace that I had worn into the store]. Your face is so plain and has nothing going on, but that necklace [the one I was trying on] will make a statement. You should buy it. You need to buy it.She was pushy, kept insisting that I look at various items which I was not interested in and made insulting comments about my appearance when I declined. These comments were thrown at me amidst a constant political babble about her support of Trump. Unbelievable. Do not support her business.
If I could give it a negative review I would. I bought a necklace and upon walking out I realized that it was broken. I walked back in and told her it was broken and the lady accused me of breaking it and started yelling and screaming. She then told me to leave her store! She is mentally unstable and needs to get some help. No idea how her store has been in business for as long as it has. Please seek help. Wish I had read the reviews before going there.
Despite its name, visiting this bead store is no party. The woman who runs this store was mean, angry, and unhelpful. I would recommend going ANYWHERE else for beads if you can. If you cant, godspeed!!
DO NOT GO HERE if you want to be treated like a human being who lives in the real world. PLEASE do go here if you want to watch a monkey at the zoo throw her own poop at you because that is how the owner behaves. The owner is literally INSANE, insane like a crazy bag-lady. She acts like she just crawled out of a cage or better, a cave! She really has no business dealing with people at all and should do something else, like work at the morgue. It was HILARIOUS to watch a 70 year old throw a temper-tantrum. I think my husband and I will go back with popcorn and taunt her just for kicks! (Taunting=walking into her shop)
I did not buy abollone shells, the women that is attending the store could not answer a question. I asked her to see the beads and she did not let me see them. It felt like racism :)
Terrible customer service, will not go back.
Never anyone there always locked,,, o_0
