The really seedy bagel is great - like an everything but with all the seasoning on both sides so one side isn’t better. The place is a put old and falling apart but the bagels are fresh and delicious. Highly recommend for your breakfast bagel fix. The bacon egg and cheese and sausage egg and cheese are yummy.

Gentleman working behind the counter was very polite and my middle came instantly. Big was pretty good too. All in all that I do makeup in this place. There arent many places in this neighborhood which makes it extra convenient to have this one there. I give it 4 stars!

3.5 ⭐Took away 1/2⭐for raising the price by 20% within a year (Orig. 4⭐).Discovered Bagelry end of 2018. Fast friendly service, family-runned small shop. Most people just order to go (limited seats & not so great ambience). Their bagels dont look very pretty but after they toast it, its one of the best Ive had. I mainly order the sesame bagel w/cream cheese. After its toasted, the crust is crunchy, blistering on the outside (not burned or hard) & soft, chewy (dense) on the inside just the way I like it. Too much cream cheese for me but thats the way my son likes it. Price $3 in 2018➡️$3.25 Jan 2019➡️ $3.60 end of 2019. Since they raised the price to $3.60, I havent been going there as often. Their bagel is much better than Starbucks, Peets & Noahs bagel, Safeway because its denser & crunchier. It doesnt go flat like bread does & they toast it more therefore its crunchier. Occasionally, its not as good when they dont toast it til it blisters (Extra crunchy but Not Burned).

The “good old days” are gone. What remains is the Old, paired with pretty poor customer service. The lox bagel now is $12.50. It is still nice but not worth $12.50.As mentioned before it looks run down, old, dirty, no napkins ( and when you ask you get a paper kitchen towel with attitude). It is sad overpriced place with annoyed employees. A place that used to be my go to place every Saturday for MANY years- but no more.

I stop by every time I visit San Francisco. Staying on Russian Hill, its an easy walk down hill to the Bagelry. The staff is always very nice and you can either take them to go or enjoy them there. My favorite is the everything bagel.

As a New Yorker, when an establishment has bagel in its shop name, one would expect the best. This does not seem to ring true here. The bagel was alright. I was hungry, it did the job. But surely not what I was hoping for.

Hit or miss, but generally more of a hit. Their shmears are excellent (try their jalapeño if you like that sort of thing). The bagels are solid. Fair prices, but make sure you have cash. Occasionally they over-toast leading to a burnt bagel. That’s the miss. But I like it enough to keep returning.

Adequate bagels, ridiculously slow service. We arrived at 9:35a, left at 10:00a with our two bagels with cream cheese. At Holy Bagel that takes 5 minutes. Should have gone to Starbucks or Peet’s next door. BYW - 4% service charge for using a credit card.

Came here for the first time today and I thought their bagels were good, got the jalepono bagel with cream cheese. They put a little too much cream cheese, but it was good. Wished it was toasted a little longer too, I like my bagels crunchy. Also wished they had a variety of coffee choices. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

I think the bagel was crunchy yet soft on the inside. I love the texture of my onion bagel. But I would like it even more if they had hot chocolates or other drinks other than coffee to accompany my bagel.

Good bagels that they toast lightly, keeping them crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Their sandwiches make for excellent lunch fare, provided the line isnt too long (Im virtually positive the Subway next door must do half its business from their spillover).

I drive allThe way to come to get bagels. I order cream cheese bagel she then asks me for $3.00.I said instead of buying one bagel can I’ll take 6 bagels and I’ll buy cream cheese . Cancel the first order. She didn’t understand me.I try the jalapeño cream cheese it was very old and had no use by date. The bagels very stale and when I went back to tell him cheese went bad he started YELLING at me! I’ve never had any one complain about my cream cheese he asked me never to come back!! I said you’re cream cheese if off!! He yells your off! Unbelievable bad bad bad bad service

More like burglary. Taking my money for the worst bacon egg and cheese of my life. Idk if bagels were store bought or what but did not taste like they were made that day. The cheese was still cold and rigid. And this may be just preference, but they put fried egg on instead of scrambled as a standard order which to me just seems crazy. Never wasting my money or time again

My friend got me a toasted blueberry bagel with cream cheese from here. I think it would have tasted better without the cream cheese. All the bagels she got had A LOT of cream cheese spread on them so if you like your bagels stuffed with cream cheese, then you will love this shop. There are a ton of bagel selections to choose from though.

Bagels here are awful, probably the worst I have had in the Bay Area. Forcing me to go eat $5 of atm fees to get my $3 bagel is also ridiculous. Literally threw away a bag of bagels I bought here because the one they made for me was so bad. Not sure if my bagel was just stale or what, but the bottom was rock solid and the cream cheese wasn’t melted at all between the bagels..

I live right by this place and come here probably every weekend for a bagel. They have a ton of different bagels and a unique variety of shmears. The food is awesome, the only thing is that it can get crowded on the weekends and sometimes it takes a long time to get your bagel.

The owner is rude to begin with. At least when I was there... The owner was annoyed that customers were asking for bagels but he was out of them - almost yelled at a customer at one point.Second, they burnt my bagel when I asked for a toasted one.Third, their coffee sucks. This location is just lucky theyre the only bagel shop around but Id rather walk few miles to avoid this place next time.

The bagels were okay- nothing to rave about other than it was convienient to grab while working at the Polk Street Festival. I was sorta disappointed that they didnt even serve anything else other than plain coffee. I ended up having to walk next door to Starbucks to grab my soy latte when I couldve made it in one trip.
