Loren ( a man) was very helpful. The dealership that had serviced my Subaru “did me dirty”. Loren straightened everything out. They did not sell me any unnecessary services. After my terrible experience with the Subaru dealership I had a friend that’s a race car driver look at the work Toscalito Automotive did and they did everything they said they would do and it was all done up to standard. They’re not cheap but they also are not crazy expensive.They have to pay their mechanics San Francisco wages too. They are certified so if I get my car fixed there my warranty is good. They are my new place to go to now to maintain my car.

I got all four tires replaced there a few months back. Got a flat tire yesterday and brought it by (as all the work would be free). While they looked for the puncture, they cleaned the corrosion off my battery and topped off my washer fluid without asking. It’s the little things - great work!

I went in for a simple maintenance. They sent my car to a different location of theirs. Car updates were never given. The people there were not professional and gave me the roundabout whenever i called. Took weeks before I got my car back. Now my new car has issues that it never had before. I highly advise anyone who cares about their car to never come here even if its for an oil change. They will just tell you that something else needs to be fix and the bill will continue to grow. They are scammers and dont know what they are doing. Now I have to take my car to another shop which is now costing me more to repair the issues they claim were fine and or they had already fixed.

Great customer service. I could have gone anywhere to mount tires but these guys did a great job, had me in and out when they said they were going to and charged me less than they originally quoted. On top of that I came back the following week and they installed the wheel center caps that I had forgot to have them do originally. No charge to boot. Im going back to have some suspension upgrades done to the Mercedes and these guys have my business from now on.

Took in my care; which only needed one thing done. My care never had issues before and after they touched and did the job; there was just a string of parts failing on the car after they worked on it. So I gave them several opportunities to fix the issues, and it just was one new things after another. I highly advise that you do not bring your car to them. I have spent thousands of dollars at this point with them. I took my car to another shop, they are now informing me that I was taken to the cleaners and now I have to pay for this new place to fix what Toscalito has done. I don not recommend this shop. That includes their sister shop in Marin, which they would send my car also to have the mechanics do work on it there.

Trustworthy, cordial professionals! Jim checked my (presumed dead) car battery and although he’d ordered a replacement, reported he could fix it via charge overnight. He did that and took a test drive, all at no cost due to no replacement. Will gladly be back here in future.

This auto repair place has really improved. The manager Jim, is good people. Every time I take my car in, they surprise me with going out of their way to make sure my car is better than it came in. Outstanding neighborhood fix it place.

Fast reliable work fair prices

Ive been to Toscalito Tire & Automotive multiple times and have been very impressed with their level of service! The past few times theyve been able to squeeze me in last minute and complete the work in a very timely manner. I drive a lifted truck with a lot of custom work and am usually skeptical when it comes to auto shops, but these guys are very knowledgeable and sure know what they are doing!They are always reasonable in their estimates and do an excellent job of raising potential concerns about the vehicle without giving any sense that you need to have it done on the spot (as is the case with some shady auto shops). Ive enjoyed my experiences and interactions with everyone at Toscalito.Ill continue using Toscalito for all of my auto needs moving forward!

These guys were able to fit me into their schedule the day that I called! They were very kind both over the phone and in person. When they were unable to get the parts needed in time for my vehicle to be finished that night, they arranged for me to stay in the hotel next door at a discounted rate (I was only visiting the area), and waived the overnight storage fee. I usually have a hard time at auto shops, but these guys made this very easy and comfortable for me. I recommend giving them a call, or using their service if you need auto care in this area 👍 Thanks again guys!

I am sure many will agree with me that Toscalito is a superior automotive service center. I have been taking my car to Toscalito for maintenance, tires, and mechanical issues for several years now. The prices are fair, I know my car is in good hands, and I feel confident in the service I receive. This is a busy garage, and managers Nick and Kyle handle the influx of customers at a steady pace. They are professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. I recently went in to have my headlight replaced. It was done while I waited and when I went to pay for it Nick said there was no charge because I am a good customer. What a wonderful surprise that was…that has never happened to me anywhere!

Terrible experiencie!many days to solve the problem, many more than they had said. They made the wrong diagnosis about the car, they charged me a lot of money to fix it and the final problem was not solved. I called to talk to the manager and he told me he could do nothing for me. The door handle came back broken and they also said it wasnt broken by them. I do not recommend. Bad service and lack of respect.

Bring my car here regularly. Theyre a great resource and take good care of my wheels. I put a lot of commuting miles on my car and do most of my oil changes here. They have also done several major services on my 07 Subaru including catalytic converter and clutch replacement.

Great service! Pulled in on my way home to check some possibly loose lug nuts after I had my tires rotated somewhere else. They checked it out in less than 10 minutes, everything was fine and they didn’t charge me a dime! Will definitely go back again!

They told me washer fluid holder was broken and asked to buy a washer fluid holder from amazon since it would arrive faster - I found out after I brought in the new washer fluid holder from Amazon that my washer fluid holder was actual not broken. When I asked if theyd purchase the fluid holder or reimburse me for it they said no and asked me to return it on Amazon. Amazon did not accept the return. Next time, please be sure that a part is needed before asking your customer to purchase it.

Sam and his guys truly took care of me and my car. I was referred to them by another mechanic. These guys took my car in at a moments notice and did outstanding work. Highly recommend based on my experience and their true and honest customer service.

Elite shop. Top notch people and great location plus lazer alignment and wheel services are hard to find in the vicinity.I normally go to a race shop, but these guys have potential and customers clearly trust them with very high end stuff.

When I had a flat they realized I needed a new rim. They told me to find one on online because its cheaper. Then they didnt charge me for the first visit. Its a fair shop. They treat you how you hope a garage will treat you.

This place understands customer service! I went for a flat tire this time, expected to be pushed hard to buy a whole set like I have elsewhere but they took care of it all without any of that. Ill be coming back.

Ripoff dishonesty central! Stay away.i took my van in there for a waterpump repair. Lo and behold they said it would take 4 to 5 hrs labor and that i needed a extra serpentine belt that didnt even exist on my engine!! Also i was stranded in bay didnt even manage to tell me to keep water in engine till money for repair! Qouted me over a 1000 dollars with labor uneccsary part.i called my honest mechanic at home lo,and behold half the labor cost and parts plus told me i didnt even need extra belt !! they are ripoffs should be reported to the bbb!! stay away unless your rich! And like to waste money.

Warning: this is a long review, but I felt all this needed to be said.Ive been going to Toscalito for a couple years now. I was happy with them for the most part. There were always some negligence, but I let them go, because I was happy to find an honest auto shop in the city and the issues were relatively minor. Things such as not entering the correct mileage the service was done on a work order (I did point this out on the next visit after I noticed when I got home), not resetting the oil light (I just did it myself), and not using mats or seat covers in my car during service. That last point actually did bother me quite a bit, because there was always grease on my mats/car seat/steering wheel that I would have to clean after every visit, but I just assumed it wasnt normal practice for them and sucked it up.My last two recent visits are where things went downhill. Both times they recommended I get fluid flushes done that were performed in a previous visit. I keep up with my oil changes and have been getting it changed on average every 6.6k miles, shortly after my oil light goes on. My point is, Im not driving 20k-30k miles between oil changes.The first time this happened, it was for the transmission fluid. They suggested it be flushed, even though they flushed it the previous visit. For reference, my car manual recommends this being done every 30k miles. I told the tech they performed this in the previous visit, and the tech said they would do it for free since it got dirty sooner than it should have, but I found when I got home they never noted they did it on the work order. I checked the transmission fluid and it was clean. Either they honestly forgot to note it on the work order when they re-did it, or it was never dirty to begin with.My most recent visit they suggested I do another fluid flush, this time for the brake fluid, despite me getting this done 6.7k miles ago. When I pointed this out, the tech said it wasnt uncommon for the brake fluid to become dirty quickly. Again, this contradicts my car manual, so I passed.I could go on, but this review is already pretty long, and these events highlight the major issues I have with them. If you need them for a one-off event, like a blown tire, I would recommend them for that, but not as a place to regularly get service done.

Quick, polite and honest! My tire blew out on the 101 S and the Bay Area Freeway Service Patrol pulled over to help me - the man who helped me said I ran over a nail and probably didnt need the actual tire replaced.Came in fearing the worst and Alonzo quickly reassured me that all I needed was a reliable patch up. He explained to me that the nail failed to damage the actual tire so no replacement needed. He quickly repaired the damage and didnt even charge me! Amazing.Im house sitting for my friend (who the car belongs to) and I have definitely recommended Toscalito to her! Thank you again, Alonzo! Much appreciated.

They were knowledgeable, gave me a very fair price on new tires, were easy to deal with, finished on time, and cleaned and vacuumed my car. I was very happy with the experience and would highly recommend them.

I pulled in roughly 30 minutes before closing, and said I needed an oil change and for them to check my starter. The response given from the owner was extremely sarcastic, and threw me off guard.However, the negative experience ended there. They did a thorough job looking over my Jeep. I was told in the past that I needed the pinion seal replaced by a Daimler-Chrysler dealership, and was quoted $1200. Toscalitos took care of that and a few other issues for $1,000. For the job they did, the price, and the speed, Id be more than happy to stand some sarcasm upon my next visit.

Ive been taking my car here for years, until recently. I had an issue with my car where a check engine light went on. After doing my research, I had a pretty good idea of the problem. I asked for a diagnostic of just what I thought the problem was. Got charged $165 and my diagnostic was right! I had to take my car to a dealer for a recall service. Dealer told me I got ripped off and shouldnt have paid $165. I dont want to be nickeled and dimed. Sorry Toscalito, but you lost my business.

At least twice theyve trouble-shoot problems that I caused, but I cant get these guys to take my money. It may depend upon who helps you but Jimmy and Alonzo are especially kind. Im looking forward to a chance to pay them back.

I took my car in here because it broke down and it was the closest place near me, but I regret taking my car here because they over price the labor and the parts they were trying to charge me $1000 dollars to fix my car and I called other shops and they said it would come out to be around $500 dollars in total. Never going there again!
