I have taken my Lexus to the dealer for service since I’ve bought it. On my last visit, they recommended that I spend almost $6000 in repairs. Three of which were “critical“. I didn’t believe this. I took my car to Patrick for a full inspection. It turns out many of these repairs are not “critical” in fact, one can wait another 30,000 miles. I truly appreciated his honesty and thorough explanations of everything that was wrong and how and when I should fix it. This was incredibly refreshing. They could have easily said I needed the work. I have been looking for a long time for a repair shop that listens to my concerns and takes them into account. That is just what I found here. Patrick listens, is patient, and explains and looks for all possible solutions. I had AC issues that I believed had been misdiagnosed by another repair shop. Patrick listened to what I thought the issue was, or at least what I thought it was not. He and his team correctly identified the issue and the repair ended up being perfect and half what the other shop wanted to charge me to fix what I knew was not the issue. Patricks garage is now the one place I chose to go for all my repairs and car needs.

I had a wonderful experience with my service at All American. I had a bad power steering fluid leak and I called in and I was able drop off my truck the next morning. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. My car has been stalling off and on for the last 6 months. It has broken down countless times, stalled while I was driving it. I’ve taken it in to multiple mechanics, who up sold me on car parts I didn’t need and who didn’t take time to find the real problem. I started to think i’d never feel safe driving my car again. SFAS has been my go-to mechanic in SF for about six years now and were actually recommended to me by the AAA tow truck driver, since I hadnt had a vehicle in over 15 years, I didnt have a mechanic. I distinctly remember him saying, a lot of people like this place, and handing me their card. I can clearly understand why, and have never regretted taking his advice. In the handful of times I have used their services, Patrick has done a great job of explaining the issues that needed to be addressed, explaining why they happened, answered every question I have had, occasionally advised against an up-sell, and generally done a great job with my vehicles. If youre looking for an honest, professional, no BS repair shop with a welcoming atmosphere, look no further.

This is the most honest car repair shop I have ever used. My BMW dealer suggested to replace my BMW 528 rear differential mount immediately for a couple of thousand of dollars and they made it sound that it was in really bad shape and disaster would occur if I did not. Patrick did a free assessment for me and did not think it is necessary to replace it. It can go on for another 5 years. Most mechanics will tell you more need to be done, not less. What an honorable man!!!

I had a great experience here. After some inept thieves cut through my exhaust pipe in an attempt to steal my catalytic converter AAA recommend that I have my car towed here. Although they were technically closed and were not notified by AAA Patrick was willing to do the repairs anyway. He had the pipe welded and replaced an oxygen sensor and now things are running great. I would definitely return.

I brought my 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser to have the AC system checked for leaks since the AC was not blowing cold air anymore. I received a text message on the same day regarding the issue and fix with photo of the culprit. I gave the consent to fix and it was fixed accordingly. Pat, the owner of the shop, recommended a new condenser in the future and added that the existing one was bent but still useable. No leaks were detected.I will be bringing my TLC back to this shop for maintenance in the future. I like the way Pat runs this shop. It is clean and well kept. I like the way he uses technology to keep his customers informed and keeping them in the loop instantly. Also like the invoice being sent via text and no surprises. Very up front! Highly recommend.

I can in to see if they can help me with a minor issue I was having with my trunk. The took a look & saw what the problem was right away. I left thing it would take some time to fix but then I received a text ten minutes later saying it was done & ready to pick. Came back & sure enough it was ready & the price was unbeatable. Definitely would recommend them & Ill be back also.

Being a young driver, it would have been very easy for these guys to rip me off, but they did the exact opposite. The bottom plastic shield of my car was torn and dragging on the ground. In one afternoon they removed the issue and charged me nothing, when they could have charged me $700 dollars to replace a few parts. Pat, the person at the front desk, was extremely informative and friendly! Pat says I always prefer to do the cheaper option, when the more expensive one isnt necessary.

This is where the family takes our cars. We love the service, and they are always reliable and super helpful!

Did not like the service Patrick wasn’t very nice and I felt ripped off biggest waste of time

My BMW X5 was delivered to automotive solutions by mistake. It was supposed to go to BMW of San Francisco. Patrick (the principle of Automotive solutions) was very courteous and parked my X5 in his shop over night. The tow service was supposed to pickup my car between 8-9 and deliver it to BMW. When they arrived at automotive solutions they found the parking brake was stuck ON and would not release. They had brought a flat bed to get it but, they needed a cradle truck. All the while Patrick is calling the towing companies to aid in getting my car towed to the correct location. Patrick is extremely patient and allowed me to keep the car there at no charge until the towing companies got their act together and sent the proper vehicle. Finally five hours past the time they were supposed to have picked up the car they got it and brought it to BMW of San Francisco.I will definitely go visit Patrick and personally thank him for his patience. I will likely also have Patrick service my vehicle in the near future.

GREAT experience. I brought a 98 M3 and had Patrick and his team do a detailed lookover and change the tires. I had picked up the car a week back from a private seller who showed me a clean Car record, service history, etc. It was my mistake to take their word for it.It had been in an accident, it had cracked engine mounts, cracked transmission mounts, and the rear tires were 8 years old.Patrick advised me that he would give a quote only if he felt the rest of the car was worth repairing.Thankfully it was, but it was a bit job. I even asked Patrick if I could price shop his quote, he let me. A dealer said- This price looks really good and these guys are really good, my cost would be at least 40% moreToday my new old 98 M3 drives like it was new. Patrick also, smartly, fixed up the lower control arms, sway bar links and did an alignment. Just bought a new (used) Jeep and we needed several things. I was confident the dealer we purchased from did not do an inspection and really needed peace of mind. Patrick and team did a full 130 point inspection! We also had a light come on the instrumental panel. Patrick has this really cool computer simulator (that he shows you on a tv screen) which walks you through what was wrong and what it does. Love these guys! Can’t wait for our upgrades to come in and have the guys help us to customize our Jeep!

Being a AAA member I chose San Francisco Automotive Solutions. I am very happy I did! Will not bore you with too many details. Went to the shop knowing I needed a brake job. Patrick (CEO/Founder) detailed what they do with first timers. After a full inspection I got news that was more than concerning. After my very in depth conversation with Patrick I decided to go ahead with the job. I picked up my vehicle yesterday after one last replacement. I own a 2004 Mazda 6s purchased brand new. Best auto repair service ever!! Brought my Hyundai in yesterday for a disturbing, ever-increasing squeaky rattling sound, and was blown away by the wonderful comprehensive service! Bill explained to me the probable causes (a loose belt,) including a video showing me how the belt works (or when it doesnt!) with the exact sound my car made - bingo, problem identified! He also discovered a leaking water pump, and was able to fix all in one day. So grateful!!! I really appreciated Bills patience in answering my questions, and clear explanations. And he even washed the car to boot!! I met Pat when came to pick up my car, and he reviewed my charges, explaining thoroughly - so appreciate this great customer service! Have been bringing my vehicle here for the last few years, always timely and skilled repairs. The level of workmanship and professionalism is impressive. Most recently I brought the vehicle in for an engine repair and after fixing the problem, they noticed a pulsation in the brake system during the test drive. The brakes were under warranty from when I had them replaced at the garage earlier this year so they replaced the parts free of charge, just as youd expect any honest garage to do. Breaking down in the busy Financial District during rush hour is everyone’s worst nightmare, right? I Had a horrible experience with several tow trucks and shops that declined to tow and service the vehicle and ultimately it was 4 hours before we landed at SF Auto. Barely made it into the city with my misfiring Eurovan. Needed the car looked at immediately since I was supposed to pick up my son from the Benioff Childrens hospital a few hours later. Pat and his team are awesome! I brought in my BMW X3 to check on a noise when shifting gears. They identified the problem immediately and gave me some options on how to solve the issue. They swapped out the transfer case and also fixed a bunch of other small issues I’d been meaning to get done. My X3 is running great again and will be taking her to Pat anytime she needs some work.

Pat was great to work with and very thorough. I had all the fluids flushed and filters changed as well as some other minor parts that were due for exchange. Pat went the extra mile for me and replaced both ball-joints and topped it off with a car wash. His shop is clean, organized and welcoming. I would love to work with Pat again anytime!

Ive taken my Jeep Grand Cherokee in here twice in the last couple years. Once for a suspension issue another shop couldnt figure out and a 2nd time for a horrendous noise that came from my brakes randomly on the way to work one morning. Both times, Patrick and his team were able to identify and fix the issues quickly and cost effectively. The level of service these guys provide to the cars and their customers is 2nd to none. Excellent work. My 9 year old VW Golf was overheating and Bill here brought it back to life. The work was guaranteed so when I identified 2 minor issues that i felt while driving it and brought it back they put in the time and expertise to make it drive *better than it ever has* now. They do great work and stand behind it, highly recommended. Also Pats knowledge, customer care and follow up communication is top notch. I was going to another place for service but found they constantly would not pick up the phone when I needed them, not this place, they are always available via text.
