Stopped by the shop for basic oil change. Theyre very professional with their service. Not intimidating at all, with ZERO up sell. Morning time seems to the time to go because they were pretty busy when I picked up the car. Great customer service throughout the whole process. Id go back again.

You can find cheaper smog checks elsewhere in the city. I also question the expertise of their smog technician. After my car failed the initial test due to loose battery terminals, I bought an OBD scanner and went through the necessary drive cycles until all monitors were shown as ready under Since DTCs cleared. I also got a mechanic from another auto shop to confirm I was ready for smog. When I came back to Chevron for the retest, I was told that the car still wasnt ready because monitors were shown as incomplete under This Drive Cycle. I then took my car over to another smog shop and passed, and paid less for the test than what I had for the initial test at Chevron. I do not recommend this shop for smog checks.

I love this station!....They are playing classical music for the entire block to hear. It raises the level humanity. The attendants are wonderful, and the service in all departments is friendly fast and thorough. What a gem!

Smog check is literally twice the going rate.Update: I called 25 smog places that day I wrote the above comment.Today I called, what Google returned as, their closest competitor--I was quoted $78 and some change. Pac Heights Chevron knows who their actual closest competitor is better than Google does. But I got my smog for $40 when I got it done on the day of the comment!

I had my car in for smog certification and Pacific Heights Chevron took care of the service very promptly and accurate. They offer an unusual service by checking everything out on your car and giving you suggestions on future service needs. i have used them for the past years and have found them to be accurate, efficient and excellent service. I would recommend them forany of your automotive needs. They are also very fairly priced. One of the very few full service garages left in this city. Do not pass up the chance to make sure your automotive needs are met.

I took my car here when I needed a Smog Check. I was able to schedule an appointment within a day or two. When I took my car in the gentlemen working that day were friendly, upbeat, and explained how the process would work. I gave them my cell number and they called as soon as my car was ready (which was even faster than the time estimate they gave me).I would recommend this particular Chevron to friends and family.

Staff is incredibly rude! They also don’t know how to handle nicer vehicles. All in all I would avoid this place!

I was able to do a walk-in smog check without making an appointment, and it was done by the time my hair appointment was over! They also did my oil change for me. Prices are fair, staff are friendly, and their service is quick and proficient. I would recommend Pacific Heights Chevron Auto Repair to a friend, and Ill be back for my future car needs!

My hats off to Pacific Heights Chevron Auto Repair, I had a mishap on Market Street in San Francisco and as suggested by AAA had my car towed there. My thanks to Janet and especially to Daniel who worked on my car repairs, he completed the work quickly and kept the cost reasonable. They made a bad experience a whole lot easier.

Contrary to all car service traditions, Pacific Heights Chevron actually spent several days investigating a warning light on my cars dashboard and were unable to come to a conclusion - not for lack of trying; and, believe it or not, they did NOT charge for the days of effort. I was most impressed.The are capable. It turned out the dealer did find the problem, but had special tools to get the answer.PH Chevron is a clean, courteous and very honest shop. You should try them

Ive been taking my cars to PHC for many years now, and am so glad to have them as my neighborhood shop.They are great about calling promptly with a diagnosis, explained in as much or as little detail as you need (never hurried, rude or patronizing if you need further explanation), and they give an honest assessment of the urgency of the repair, or a prioritization if there are several issues. Just as Ive had them tell me something was a safety hazard and should be fixed immediately, Ive also had them tell me that something might be annoying but isnt a safety issue, and if I can live with it, save myself the money.The service is friendly and helpful, without regard to the value or prestige of the vehicle, and I recommend Pacific Heights Chevron without reservation.

I had a series of unfortunate experiences here trying to have my smog check completed. Long story short, if you have had your car jumped or had a new battery put in, wait and drive at least 100 miles before getting a smog check anywhere. Anyways, the owner contacted me and was very polite and accommodating and restored my confidence in Pacific Heights Chevron.

Worst experience. Rude and condescending owner (the guy with the cane) and poorly articulated assessments and recommendations. For example, I asked for detail on what the potential costs might be for another round of expensive testing and the obnoxious owner, after they’d already gotten $100 from me, and owner cuts me off with “By the way I don’t care if you do the work here or not.” And I was polite throughout, except when leaving, poorer for the experience in multiple ways. Obnoxious place.Really, avoid these high-handed knuckleheads. Also overpriced. Cross the bridge or head to SOMA and save yourself the time and money.

Great service on the STAR Smog Check.

This a remarkable serice station. Number one- they are totally honest- did a ton of work for my wife, couldnt solve the problem -needed a tool only the dealsrs had - and didnt charge her a dime. They also have classic music on their loudspeakers and the gas is priced right. We recommend them as tops.

I would not take my car for service any where else. I have been going there for the past three years. They do excellent work and if something else needs to done they call you immediately
