David Pang helped us out in a pinch - and walked us through every choice available to make the best and most cost-conscious option for us. He was incredibly helpful, friendly and honest! I’d recommend this Midas to anyone who needs regular or last-minute maintenance. And the bonus is that it’s open on Sundays!

Horrible experience!! Oil change and tire rotation almost 3 hours! When I was quoted 1-1.5hrs tops. My vehicle just sat lifted in the air for about 2 hours no work being done. I even mentioned I had to leave town and head back home to the city (SF)... I had to go and remind them to work in my vehicle. Unprofessional staff, non caring attitude. Bottom of the barrell if you ask me. I highly doubt their staff has certs to be working on cars. Save yourself and your car go elsewhere!!!!

I had a great experience with David the owner. I had a lot of questions about my car which he answered in a thoughtful yet technical way which was what i needed. Got in and got out in a reasonable time but David took the time to answer all my questions. The place is kept up the waiting room is really clean. Overall great great experience. I would highly recommend this place.

If you like rude, disrespectful people, this is your guy. Unnecessarily offended and offensive... I thought maybe he was having a bad day, or maybe I was offensive, but then I read his reviews, and it appears that he has many bad days.

My car’s clutch failed and I called this place because it was the only one open on Sunday. The representative was very rude and absolutely no help throughout the conversation. At first, he didn’t believe that it had failed, then when I told him about the diagnosis I got from a person who pulled over to help me, he was like “well why didn’t you just have him fix it” as if the guy was just carrying around parts for a car he didn’t own. When I told him very nicely that he didn’t have the parts and asked if Midas did (knowing it was unlikely), he didn’t answer the question but instead said it was too much work and I wouldn’t want to go through with it. I told him my car was not working so I did need to find some sort of solution and asked if he had any recommendations. He said very sarcastically “on a Sunday? Good luck” and hung up

Was told they dont honor coupons and dont really do oil changes. They said they will but for $100 because it is due to the price of crude oil. I guess that is fine but other places charging $70 for synthetic oil changes. Hard pass on this place. I mean talk about rip off. Also i thought they do everything from oil changes to tires and auto repairs. Anyways I guess these are all independent franchises. No wonder this place was not busy. Id stay away.

I was on my way to Sonoma for the day and the check tire pressure came on. I pulled over at a gas station to fill up the tires, and a nail was in one of them. Midas was just a couple blocks down. On a Sunday, they were actually open, and they said they could work me in. Alejandro and David were SO helpful. I was overdue for new tires as it was, and Alejandro and David walked through everything in excellent detail, which I then verified and confirmed they were absolutely right. I got great tires, at a great price, and I was in and out in two hours, allowing me to still meet up with my friend in wine country. And while I waited, I hung out in Golden Gate Park. Youd never expect a nail in a tire to be such a lovely experience, but the location of this Midas and the excellent service by Alejandro and David really turned a stressful experience into a lovely one. Im so grateful!

Rude & bad attitude! I normally do not give negative ratings but I have to say these people do not care and have a very bad attitude. Drove in and asked is they had time for an oil change and he said about two hour wait. I asked if I can make an appointment to come back in two hours? And he said yes, gave him my name. I came back two hours later and said it’s really hard to drop in it was too busy, and I should make an appointment. I said yes I was in and made an appointment to come back at this time. He just yelled at me! He said I said make an appointment!! My goodness, I told him that’s ok and left. Don’t waste your time here, by the look of their attitude I guess they’re too busy and don’t need any new customers.

BEWARE of these SCHEMERS.Ive been to this specific Midas a couple times. The first time was just for an oil change a couple of years ago. They performed the oil change and then came back to me with a bunch of other things that they felt were wrong with the car but I knew did not need to be fixed. I figured this might be a one time thing and that it was just the people there trying to scam me. I ended up just getting the oil change saying no to their crappy suggestions because I know whats up with my carWent back just recently because I had a coupon for an oil change, filter change, and tire rotation and wanted to get my power steering flushed at the same time. I called ahead because I know they get busy. The guy asked me for my phone number then asked if I had been there before to which I said yes. After a couple minutes of searching his computer he said When was the last time you came in? and I said It was probably a couple of years ago. In a clearly annoyed tone, he said Oh, our computers cant keep track past 2 years, as if I somehow should have known that. After all, they are the ones who sent me the coupon.I took the car in anyway expecting to just get my oil changed and the power steering flushed for a quick appointment. My car takes conventional oil and the guy at the counter said their computers say it takes synthetic and thats all they will put in it because the computer says so. After I called him on it and said I would take my care elsewhere, he said I looked again and found that it can take conventional. SCAM. Then his mechanic tried to tell me I needed a new power steering pump because it was seeping out after looking at it for no more than 15 seconds with the car off and that they would not perform the flush without replacing the pump. They wanted $745 for all of this. I finally told them to change the oil and then Im leaving. They took 40 minutes to change the oil and didnt even rotate my tires.Long story short, these guys are terrible. Since, I didnt watch them change my oil, theres no telling that they even did that. They try and take money from you for things you did not come in for and must prey on the people who dont keep close tabs on their cars. Also, their customer service sucks. Avoid this place at all costs.

Several years ago my original catalytic converter on my 95 4Runner got swiped, so I had a new one put in. Last November the weld between the cat and the muffler pipe broke. My regular shop doesnt specialize in exhaust systems, so I took it to Midas figuring they were muffler people. They put in a new cat converter and charged me $650 for the whole deal. I needed the truck back & didnt have time to shop around. About 3 months later the weld failed in the same place it did before, on the brand new cat converter. I took it back and after many trips to the shop and calls- they were ridiculously overbooked all the time and didnt get back to me when they said they would, they finally told me that I must have hit a rock or something, as there was some mud on the underside of the truck. It happened to be just a week or so over the 90day warranty, so I was SOL. Then they said it would be $1700 to put in a whole new exhaust system. I told them that I had done nothing but drive on pavement for 3 months- they then offered to credit me $425 for the cat converter, but the whole thing would still cost me $1275 to fix a crappy job that they overcharged me for and should have done right in the first place. I took it somewhere else and they guy repaired it by adjusting the supports correctly and aligning the exhaust pipe correctly. He charged me $175 and I got it back the same day. Midas had poor customer service and really stuck it to me. I looked at the Yelp reviews after the weld failed, theyre either 5 stars or 1 stars. The 5 star reviews are mostly from people who had their oil changed, and the 1 star ones are from people who had bigger jobs. Id take Midas to small Claims Court but its not quite enough $ to make it worth the hassle. Next time Im reading all the reviews before I take my business to a new car place.

My car was experiencing vibration at the steering wheel. They tried to rebalance the tires. I picked up my car. Same vibration. I brought it back to balance the tires again. They cant balance tires at all. And they blame the tie rod is broken and the rim is bent. I take my car to dealership for a 215 dollars diagnosis . Dealership said tie rod is completely ok. And rim is not bent. I let dealership to do the balance. Then everything is fine. Dont waste money and time at this location. They will blame on everything if they cant get the job done.

These people are horrible! They were rude to me. They overcharged me. They dented my car and would not fix the dent. I had to take the car into another shop to undo the terrible work they did and pay out of pocket for the work. Save yourself the grief and dont ever do business with these people. The owner is a real piece of work. He is the most unhelpful auto mechanic I have ever met in my life. He insulted my daughter right in front of me and my wife. Someone should sue these people. I hope they go out of business.

VERY dishonest people!! I brought my car in for an oil change, they told me it needed repairs which I knew to be untrue, I told him politely just oil please. They then actually glued my spark plugs in permanently with Lock Tight, which I didn’t discover until several days later when I went to a different shop for a smog check. The smog guy couldn’t get the spark plugs out and asked me why they were permanently glued in. Of coarse Midas denied anything to do with it.TOTAL SCAM OUTFIT!!!

This place is a scam, dishonest, the worst of swindlers. I brought my car for a routine oil change, they say a shock is leaking, before I know it both shocks - AND tires - have to be replaced. And the tires were bought from them, under warranty, but they have new ownership and all the records were thrown out. Wow. Now I just take my Subaru to the local dealership, Putnam, and they are top. They mentioned leaking shocks is a common scam, usually its moisture, and small leaks are tolerable. Midas fed me BS about safety, will never feel right, etc... Sad.
