We called and made an appointment, they were able to make room for us on the same day which was awesome. The team was professional and gave their honest recommendations. By the time the car was ready we were out of town and had to leave the car there for a couple of days and they were super accommodating not charging us to keep the car the extra days. I would definitely come back for future car issues.

It was A kinda scary when you see 4 stars in every review you read, (I was skeptical). To make a long story short ~ I had a check engine in my dashboard, I stopped at their garage and met upfront by a Receptionist whom I felt from the beginning of his body-language as if he’s telling Me (go elsewhere). i told him I have a check engine ~his response was: giving me A business card and said, i need to call and make an appointment….and continue to say ~ And this is how much we charge an hour!!.);&@-,?!!. Outstanding service. This remains the best auto repair garage I have ever seen. I live in Sacramento but only trust Luscious with my Prius, so taking the extra effort to go to SF is worth it.

Excellent shop. Parts are the same price youd pay at a parts store but the hourly labor fee seems higher than shops with inflated parts prices. Setting up an appointment is easy. Once you do that, youll be emailed an invoice estimate. Bring you vehicle in. They adjusted the invoice for items not needed -- without being asked. You can wait in the lounge, use your laptop on the conference table OR wander nearby shops or get lunch.

Once I have a problem with head lights, after going to lot of places unable to fix it. I visit this place some one recommended. They know exactly the problem and fix it in five minutes. After that I am there loyal customer. It is the only Auto Shop that is honest and knowledgeable.

Before finding Luscious Garage I had two other shops misdiagnose the clunking sounds coming from my car as struts needing to be replaced. Luscious Garage identified that the issue was actually my spreader bars, not my struts. Not only did their honesty and expertise save me about $2,000 in not replacing OK struts, but since issues with spreader bars are actually pretty dangerous, they kept me safe by noticing and fixing that problem.

The team at Luscious Garage are trained surgeons for your hybrid car. My 2005 Prius needed a new hybrid battery pack -- the BIG battery -- a heart transplant. I found kind and caring professionals with a great team energy. I was told that the car would need to stay at least over night. Within an hour of my appointment, I received a detailed diagnostic via text message with itemized cost and a request to authorize work. Along the way, I received updates with photos detailing the diagnosis to prognosis. One day later, my car was like new and it didnt break the bank. The LG team was also able to reposition my catalytic converter anti-theft shield that was installed by another garage so that it would stop rattling from hitting the exhaust system.

There is no place better anywhere to take uour hybrid car. the quality of care and professionalism exceeds any and all experiences you have ever had going to get your car fixed. My prius has 311,129 miles on it and that has so much to do with how well this garage has helped me take take care of it.

I take the Prius in regularly for standard service; at a recent service, they replaced the spray nozzle on the driver side of windshield; it was plugged up. It worked fine… then about a week or two later, the windshield cleaning fluid wouldn’t spray at all. Liquid Level was good. They replaced the pump for unit very quickly, even though I didn’t have an appt !!! Great service at Luscious Garage.

Excellent place, very professional, and their online booking and update system is top notch! I have a difficult work schedule and had to reschedule my maintenance twice, and it only took a couple of clicks on a computer each time.No haggling, no upselling, their quote was simple and fair and they even reduced it a bit when they discovered it wouldnt be as difficult as first assumed. Ill definitely be coming back next time my car needs work.

These guys are great. I had a completely dead Fiat 500e. The lithium ion battery was totally discharged. I spoke with the Fiat dealership and they quoted me $30k, that’s NOT a typo. So I had my car towed to to Luscious. They assessed the problem and called me with the bad news. They could not fix it because the battery is basically the car’s chassis. Then they asked me if I had a warranty and my answer was that I was past the 4yr warranty. They educated me on the fact that those batteries have their own warranty and it’s actually federally mandated that they are warrantees for a minimum of 8 years and 100k miles. I looked into it and right there in tiny type, my Fiat manual confirmed what they said to be true, basically saving me my car. When I told the dealership, they were very surprised I had all the info I had. It’s there now and we’ll see what’s what, but before Luscious explained this to me, I was going to follow the dealerships suggestion of just donating the car. Thanks Steve, Shelbert, Allie and the rest of the Luscious crew.Then they stepped it up. I got to the garage for the AAA tow to the dealership and, well AAA never showed up. I sat there sitting in my wife’s car for 4 hours waiting. When the garage folks learned that I was sitting around the corner, they actually came and checked up on me to see if I needed anything. This was a first for me. They actually seemed to care I was sitting there and wanted to make sure all was good.They just really go out of their way to make sure their customers are well taken care of. They ended up keeping the car over night at no charge to me and we’re happy to coordinate the pick up the next morning. It was the way they treated me that was above and beyond. I probably called them 10 times and each time they were highly professional but with a real personal touch, always asking that extra question that makes you feel like they’re actually paying attention and care about you and your vehicle. This is not your “normal” garage, this place is something above.I’d give these guys 10 stars if I could!

Luscious Garage takes great care of my Prius. I’ve been going there for years for regular maintenance. They know hybrids well. It’s easy to book online and get estimates and finalized bills via email, and also easy to find someone to talk to if you are not sure what type of appointment to schedule.The waiting room is pleasant...has books and plants and sunshine. The technicians are professional, explain their recommendations clearly, and look out for the customer.My hatchback’s trunk release frame/lift gate garnish had a piece of plastic break/come loose. When I tried to open the trunk, sometimes it pulled off, and I could see wires. I tried checking online to see what kind of fix was needed. There are different methods, including a replacement of the part, which would have cost hundreds. When I called Luscious they quoted the cost to replace, but also said they could see if they could secure it with screws (complimentary). I really appreciate their knowledge and kindness to offer a long time customer this solution. I dropped by today, (after calling ahead) and they fixed it, had me open it/ check that it worked well, and gave advice on how to prevent it from recurring/prolong the life of the fix, which was to unlock it, then lift up from the bottom of the trunk lid (vs the handle area). I’m so grateful to have a great hybrid auto shop in San Francisco.

My Prius is old and its not worth much. Ive done away with a lot of creature comforts, like windshield wiper fluid. But when my AC broke in advance of a cross-country drive in summer heat, I needed a solution, even a temporary one. I read rave reviews for Luscious Garage and decided to give them a try rather than my usual, much closer mechanic. I explained my situation in the form provided, emphasizing that I was going to be driving across the country. Once there, everyone there was very friendly and accommodating. After about 4 hours I was told my car was done—but what they actually meant was they had simply diagnosed the problem. Oh, and I didnt hear any of this from any of the mechanics—instead, every estimate and update was communicated to me via a text message with a link. All told, the repair was estimated to be over $2k, which I was familiar with as it was a repair I had needed years ago, but which wouldnt be justifiable due to the value of the car. I tried to again explain my situation to the person at the front desk and asked if they might know of a temporary fix, but they could only suggest I buy a portable AC unit. I took my car to my regular mechanic the same day and within 15 minutes they had come up with a temporary fix for me, for free. I dont doubt that Luscious Garage did good work in diagnosing my car (though, my usual mechanic is skeptical that they identified the problem correctly). But I didnt feel like they took the time to understand my situation, or even explain the problem to me. I didnt have a rave experience like the other reviews and would not come back.

My tire warning light was on and I had tried to add air at a gas station. I called Lucious Garage which is the only garage I use. They said I could come in for a quick tire check. They adjusted air in all 4 tires, added oil and out the door by the time I retuned from Bed, Bath...Surprise? Courtesy check, no charge for regular customer. Thank you!

I LOVE Luscious Garage! When the Catalytic converter was stolen off our old Prius, I had the car towed to the City to be replaced. They also recommended that we protect the new cat with the Cat Shield, a metal plate riveted over the the new cat, to protect it from happening again.

Absolutely loved my experience here. Came in for general maintenance and they, not only did that, but managed to fix my back bumper (hanging off) and re-attach my license plate (which had been ripped off while parked in SF) at no extra cost.

I went to Luscious Garage to have my Priuss combination meter (speedometer, gas gauge, etc.) replaced. The team at LG was fantastic. They got me in and out well within the timeframe I had been given earlier.The shop itself is clean, well organized, and a lovely piece of architecture.I recommend LG highly as the team was friendly and knowledgeable, the e$timate was spot on, and the work was done quickly and precisely. Go for the car repair, but stay for the hella funny cartoons in the bathroom!

I think it’s fair to say that I love Luscious. Our ‘02 Prius lost its catalytic converter to theft. The shop close to us in the city of Richmond said it would be a three month wait for a new one. Oy! I was happy to learn that Luscious keeps them in stock. We got the car back a day earlier than we expected.

First, they saved my car by replacing the battery 3 months after I purchased my car used. After extensive research, I went against my own logic and went with “luscious” a garage in the most expensive US city. Not only was pricing better, they were more comprehensive in assessment and explanation. I went with their own after-market battery that had no warranty and also had no car with reported issues in 10 years. 3 years later and I’m still cruising along.Next up-catalytic converter. The second best decision I ever made was going with Luscious again despite my insurance company’s ‘preferred garage’ discount and warranty promises. Luscious had my car in and out in a week. At one point my insurance company tried to scrap aka total my car and Luscious worked with them to uncover their bottom line and worked with me to save my car. Luscious did this—my insurance company did not. If it werent for Gina’s special genius, I wouldn’t have a car.Always and forever yours 🌈

We’ve used luscious for all 3 of our priuses. Very good on-time, communication, quality. Nice shop space, comfy waiting room ore-COVID. You will need to alert them if you get a recall notice as they don’t already get notices from your manufacturer. I had a cpl of missed recalls that cost me, they didn’t know my vehicle was on recall.

I had a very high estimate from Toyota for a repair so I asked Luscious to estimate and do the repair. It would have been covered by insurance. They inspected the car and found that the issue was minor and that it didn’t need any work beyond what they fixed at the time of the estimate. This happened before, the dealership or a mechanic telling me that the car needs work and then finding out that it is not true. I always trust Luscious if I need repairs.I have been using the dealership for oil changes and maintenance because I still have a service agreement but when it expires I will bring it to Luscious for that too. I have been recommending them for years to everyone I know who drives a hybrid because of their honesty and the quality of their work. It is rare to find honesty in this industry!

Everyone I’ve worked with has been friendly, the work is done well and in a timely fashion. Plus, the garage is super clean and bright and they’ve been keeping my 1998 Corolla running for years.

I am a loyal Luscious Garage patron since 2010. I make a reservation for service and I know how much it will cost and how long it will take. Awesome! The bulk of the cars they service are Prius so they know what to do, already know which parts will soon fail and have the replacement parts on hand. And they are relatively close to where I work (within 1.5 mile ) so it isnt too much of a hassle. I choose Luscious over the car dealership shop almost every time. 139K miles so far and doing well!

Ive used Luscious for many years. Theyve serviced my hybrids as well as straight gas vehicles. Ive always found them to be honest and transparent, and they do good work. They always give me notice on issues with the car to keep an eye on, and possibly address before they become a problem in the future. 15/10 would recommend Luscious Garage.
