Harrison, Steven, Mike, and Wei always takes good care of my vehicles whenever I bring em in. Thank you guys really appreciate it
The guard underneath the engine had come loose after being caught in a curb. I stopped at the shop to have them evaluate it. They interrupted their work, put it up on the lift, and fixed it and wouldn’t even charge me for it. Very helpful and I will surely go back to them for my next problem!
Autoshop is the best auto repair shop I’ve ever used which is saying a lot given I’ve lived in 4 different cities and have been driving for longer than I care to admit (25+ years). Harrison is courteous and honest (to the point that he has told me when I don’t need a service I thought I needed). I love my car and am grateful to have Autoshop to keep it in top form.
They do a good job and theyre good at what they do. You do pay for what you get and their labor rates are much higher than my other mechanic.
They are very good service 👏👍
Great shop. Harrison is a as honest and fair as they come. My highest recommendation.
Nice service and the guys dont try to rip you off. Highly recommend place. Everyone at my work likes them.
Love these guys- extremely patient and helpful. Definitely coming back.
Blew a radiator hose and swung in here on my way home to get it re-attached so I could make it home. I called ahead but when I rolled up my minor issue was resolved immediately. The tech pointed out that the radiator connector was completely shot, and that I needed a new one. He worked quickly and was quite friendly, and his repair got me home. I typically work on my own cars (Ive got a new radiator on the way to my house!), but I much appreciate when I can stop in at a quality shop to get something done properly and quickly.Ill definitely stop by here from time to time when I need something done while Im in the city.
8 years ago I brought in a pickup to Auto Stop that i was thinking about buying to have it checked out. Harrison impressed me as a very honest, knowledgable and patient person. Through the last 8 years i have been amazed at the great advice, reliable and affordable service, and their patience with me as someone who doesnt know that much about fixing cars. I have found this with every mechanic working there that Ive talked to. It gives me so much peace of mind to have a mechanic I can count on to help me out!
They do not know how to run a smog check. I failed, did the repairs they asked for and still failed again. I went to the testing shop next door immediately after failing here and passed. Maybe they don’t know how to use the equipment?
Ive been coming to this shop for over 3 years now with multiple cars. Ive had everything from regular maintenance, breaks, timing belts, power steering, alternators, wheel bearings, ball joints, tires mounted, and more. Prices are reasonable for SF and usually a bit cheaper than others shops quotes. The owner, Harrison, is friendly and honest. In my younger days I was into rebuilding and fixing my own cars. Now that Im older and life is busy I dont have the time nor the space to do my own work. Ive never thought these guys were ever trying to take advantage of me.They will also let you have the parts they replaced. The one thing that they didnt was the alternator and I believe that is because they pass on the recycling refund to the cost of the part. Same with the battery. Similar to if you went to AutoZone and did it yourself.Highly Recommend. But like with all things always shop around.
My go-to auto shop. Service is great and a good value. They have serviced both our vehicles a 2003 Ford truck and a 2016 Mazda CX-5. Definitely recommend.
I work nearby, and Ive had Auto Stop do several things with my car. Every experience has been great - theyve taken me in on a moments notice when possible, and the diagnosis & work have been perfect every time. Im a former racing mechanic, and I can appreciate good work!
Very fair prices and quality work. They dont push additional service work onto you. They just let you know whats going on with your car. I got new tires put on recently, and they quoted me 4 different tires without any pressure. We discussed the options and they did the work in a couple of hours. I will take my Jeep to them as long as I live in SF.
Harrison, the owner, and his crew, Steven, Ken and other guys, are ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! Very honest, trustworthy, and fair on suggestions, diagnosis, and price. Also work is quick and thorough. Cant say enough good things about these guys!
Had an extremely poor experience yesterday and the day before with a battery problem on my 2007 Honda Pilot. They were good getting my vehicle in on the same day, then came the problems. I was given a quote that I signed, as well as the owners word that I could keep the alternator and all parts replaced except for the battery. Hours later I was called and they jacked up the labor price by over $100. Even hobbyists can replace this alternator within an hour. Because I needed my vehicle back, I agreed. The work was fine, but I wanted to keep the old parts to verify that they were in fact malfunctioning, as well as to re-sell them. I came back the next day asking for the parts and the owner refused and started to get extremely aggressive. Other workers came into the small office, tried to physically intimidate me, and got in my personal space trying to physically push me out. They refused to give me my old parts, despite the verbal agreement the day before! And they were physically aggressive with me, which I dont really care about, but be prepared to defend yourself! At least the owner carries a pocket knife as well as one of his staff members. This is not how you run a legit business. Also, I felt like I was being judged as someone who could be pushed around and taken for additional money. So if you make the bad choice of using this business, make a recording of the entire interaction, be prepared to physically defend yourself, and you still may get ripped off and physically pressured out. Wow!
Used these guys for years when I had BMWs with expired full-service warranties. Always great service and reasonable prices. Highly recommend.
Great experience with a star smog today. Super friendly and quick
The best service in town!!
This is honestly the best mechanic I have ever been to. The owner is patient, honest, and does great work. I highly recommend this shop.
Came in to run diagnostics on check engine light, willing to get the problem repaired if needed. The guys said it would be 2 hours wait and then cost $95! I asked if I could leave it for 2 hours and they said no. It was like they were trying to avoid any work. Tons of car shops nearby, I called Chiltons around the corner and they were incredibly helpful, diagnostic was free and they were great to work with.
I bought a car from Harrison, the owner of the shop. I lived 150 miles away. He told me the smog was passed, but it was not. He asked me to pass it locally and he would send me a check. He never send it to me, even after i reminded him a few times. He also told me the SRS warning light is from a seat belt buckle and can be repair for free by dealership. Thats also a lie. It did not have a seat belt buckle problem, it has some other problem entirely. He made something up just so i would buy the car. It was the worst experience ever.
Good place to go get your car fix there they are good people to work with
